I've never owned a pair of NB, so I wasn't sure how they'd fit. First of all, these shoes required no breaking in. No pain, no rubbing from day one unlike with my previous pair of skater shoes. My only complaint is that the design of the toe box is a bit bigger than other brands. To draw a parallel with hats, the toe box on these is middle profile, whereas I prefer the low profile toe box of the Adidas ZX series that taper more at the tip and minimize the appearance of the size of your feet.

Great shoe. Very comfortable and stylish without going overboard.

Comfy. Look good. They don't hurt ma feets. I don't use the New Balance insole though. I pull those out and pop in an Archmold.

Found these shoes in the Sales and Clearance section. I've been looking for this style sneaker for a while, but could never find them in wide. Great shoe, comfortable, good price. What more could you ask for? As always, Zappos' service was great!

This shoe is surprisingly comfy and fits great! I ordered a size 16 and it fits like a glove. I would highly recommend it to anyone and my get a different color (I got the gray). I wish New Balance would make more shoes in larger sizes.

Awesome shoes - you cant go wrong with the classics. I would have to say these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

This is the third pair of these shoes that I have purchased. Three pair have survived 2 years of high school and a year and a half of college for our teenage son. They hold up well. They even do well in the dorm washing machines. These have been worn pretty much every day, all day, for lots of walking and some running. The shoes do expand a small amount. We thought the second pair was a bit snug as compared to the first pair, and tried a larger size, but that was too big. WIth a few days of use, the original-size shoes loosened-up. So in the end, we think the sizing has been consistent over the years. Happy that these have been around for a few years that makes the decision making easier. I hope to be able to buy another just like this one in a year or so.

Good shoes. My husband works in a cabinet shop and he's on his feet for hours at a time. He has very wide feet, so it isn't easy to rely on true width & size without seeing them first. He's very pleased with these and good fit, too!

I've had them for a few weeks so far. Very comfortable. I got the 2E width and they fit perfectly. They look great and I've gotten compliments at work. Great service by Zappos, as usual.

Very comfortable, run slightly on the large size (I usually wear a 15 in New Balance, but a 14 fit me in this). Overall a great shoe, and a bargain!

Comfortable and they look great for casual wear with jeans. I'm actually wearing them now. Been wearing them for years now. This the 4th pair I have had.

These were purchased by my 16 year old son. He loves them and his 21 year old brother saw them this weekend and thought they were great. The sticker on the tongue that is like the ones found on new baseball hats is really a new look.

Had to cut my own shoelace holes with an X-Acto knife for top two holes on both shoes. Was ready to run but had to spend a few minutes cutting holes to lace up. Otherwise shoes and price were good.

This shoe is about as amazing as they get. I use these shoes nearly daily and they haven't failed me. I don't know if it’s the shoe or my increased proficiency at tying my shoes with age, but they have only come untied once in like 6 months. Also, the N is shiny but only at a weird specific angle, sort of like angling your watch into someone’s eye; pretty sweet looking when it’s seen, though. Really durable. And two colors for laces with the shoe? Get outta here... get this shoe. Stop reading reviews and get it.

I was very disappointed in durability. The shoe seemed to "shrink" over time and eventually wore through the toe area. I’d shop for a different style from NB and would never purchase the M574's again.

I have been wearing New Balance M574 shoes almost daily for the past 10 years. These are very comfortable and well-ventilated. The generic style looks great with any outfit. I occasionally try other shoes to add some variety but I am always disappointed. These are simply the best!

The M574 offers classic New Balance style, comfort, and utility. This shoe is appropriate for so many everyday occasions. They're great in the gym (though I prefer Asics), at the bar, in the car, etc. When the dress code is loose casual, don the M574.

I am pleased to report that their service is very good and I received my order without any new hope to continue shopping at zappos.com.

I have some sort of pontoon boats for feet, and the EE wide is a perfect fit. This is probably my 6th pair of 574's and obviously I keep coming back for not only comfort, but looks and durability as well.

Shoes are great, but I'm a big fan of New Balance. Comfortable, good support and stylish. Fast delivery. Package was in good shape. Great job Zappos!

I'm afraid many people have probably reviewed these 574 too quickly without giving them a real wear for more than a week or two. At first, I'll admit I loved these shoes as they fit great and were comfy right out of the box. However, after only a few months of normal wear they began to self destruct! Stitching came undone on the side of the front and the soles were separating and wore down ridiculously quick. I didn't even use these shoes for jogging, ever, just normal walking around town! Apparently I can add New Balance to the ever growing list of formerly made in the USA quality products that have moved production to China and in doing so their quality goes down the drain! Just like Converse did years ago and Frye did more recently. Zappos however still rules and has hands down the best customer service and appreciation I have ever encountered! A million stars to Zappos, 0 stars to these shoes. I am now officially the opposite of brand loyal to New Balance. I am, however, a diehard Zappos enthusiast! Thanks Zappos, you guys rule!
