Very comfortable shoes. Outer material should hold up to extended wear. White foam along the bottom got dirty pretty quickly, but cleaned up easily.

Shoes are great, but I'm a big fan of New Balance. Comfortable, good support and stylish. Fast delivery. Package was in good shape. Great job Zappos!

Great Shoe - This shoe is excellent. I feel a new bounce in my step that I haven't felt since I was a kid! When I put these shoes on in the morning, I feel like I can do anything, conquer any task. Even with two prosthetic legs, these shoes feel amazing!

Nice shoe. Wider and a bit clunkier than what I am used to but it is an all around good sneaker.

These classics use to have a great life to them. I have owned several pairs over the years, and I was able to wear each pair for over 2 years each. The latest pair I received from Zappos has not even lasted me one year. Perhaps this pair was a lemon? The soles have already separated and I am now in the market for a new pair of shoes. Besides that, they look great and feel awesome!

Comfortable and getting compliments - Sure they are just runners, but they have a retro look to them that works with jeans.

Felt smaller and narrower than advertised - does not fit at all like a different NB model in same size/width. Not sure if it is a quality control issue or different tooling. Either way, have to send them back unfortunately.

Sent them back. Shoes were way too tight for the size marked. If I order again, will go with at least a half size larger. I do like the style.

These shoes have a retro look that I don't care for. The white shoe laces had to go. On the plus side, the are very comfortable and seem well made.

A decent shoe from New Balance - This shoe was acceptable for walking and running, but as someone with wide feet I was disappointed that it was not as comfortable for me as most of their 2E shoes have been in the past. It feels like my foot is bulging over the edge of the sole and there has been some slight discomfort at times. I am satisfied with my purchase, but I probably wouldn't try this model again.

The classic. I had these in high school, I remember that I had bought a pair of grey/grey M574's and fell in love instantly. Even when they did rip (this was because of extremely heavy basketball play which this shoe is not designed for) I loved them so much that I had bought another pair. Two pairs during my high school years, worn every single day. In my senior year of college, I reminisced about all the shoes that I have bought, and how despite the fact that most of the shoes I bought were extremely flashy and stylish, I never felt like I stood out more than my shoes than when I wore the 574's. So, I ended up buying another pair, a little skeptical about whether or not the feel of the shoe would be the same as it once was. I had become more of a shoe guy during college, so comfort and durability were very high on my list; even though I had running shoes and basketball shoes and training shoes, sometimes you just want one all-around shoe. The 574 is just that. I got the classic grey/silver M574gs pair. At first, the heel midsole area felt very stiff, the suede not as loose as I once remembered. I gave it time, since it was a step away from my other, more modern-designed sneakers, which are good to go straight out of the box. After a week or so of everyday wear, that refreshing, just-wear-it feel came back. The ENCAP in the heel softened up, providing ample cushion for a variety of tasks, the upper loosened up. The reason the 574's are so good is because, like a pair of Converses and unlike a pair of brightly-colored Nikes (I have them all, so I'm unbiased), they never go out of style and look better the more beat up they get. I've had my current pair for three years, no holes in the sides, the outsole is still intact, the reflective material is still there. The shoe just looks worn, which I really miss from shoes. The best shoe. I would recommend getting a pair of US574's if you have the extra cash from the New Balance website, but if you don't mind about the quality of construction as much, these will do just fine.

These shoes are baller...in an old man "I don't give a f " kind of way. Can't go wrong with them. The ladies love them too. I had to order a size up from my regular shoe though. I am always a 13 but the 13's felt like my feet were Bound 2 like Kimye. So either they run small or my feet are growing at age 27, which I suppose is possible. 14's feel great.

PROs: I bought these shoes since I had a previous brown pair and they were VERY comfortable. I think it is due to the "En-cap" but I haven't worn the ones that don't have it. I liked grey due to it being neutral color. CONs: After wearing them for awhile, I noticed that the main problem with this shoe color combo is the white foamy part; it gets DIRTY. Also a thing I noticed with my old ones is the shoe strings get stretched out after heavy use and the strings come apart even when I tie them hard. Another thing I noticed with the old shoe is that the bottom is worn out that it is almost flat and has no tread left around the balls of the feet and heels. Overall I recommend these shoes due to its comfortably usually out of the box or at least a few weeks of wearing it. Also I have seen this shoe worn by actors in movies by Paul Rudd if that is any consolation.

I have to say this might be my all time favorite pair of sneakers. The classic styling is understated, yet people keep noticing them and asking where I got them. I'm a heavy fella and a month in, after wearing them almost every day, and being on my feet for at least 12 hours of the day, they still feel brand new. That New Balance arch support is still there, as well as the overall comfort. My only warning is in the size department. Every other shoe I wear is a 10 regular. With New Balance I always have to buy 9.5 wides so keep that in consideration when buying a pair of NB's.

These are my all time favorite shoes. I have purchased over eight pairs of them since they have been around. They are fairly easy to keep clean. They will match up with about anything you wear, from shorts to jeans and Khakis. I will more than likely enjoy several more pair in the future.

Great looking shoe, with a great fit. Liked them so much, I bought a second pair so I won't have to worry about having them go out stock when these wear out.

If you have wide feet I recommend the EE width. Great shoes. Super comfortable!

I am a loyal New Balance fan, and I thought the 574 was out of production, until I got turned onto Zappos. I ordered a pair of size 12 and they were too small, so I returned that pair and ordered a size 13. The second pair came in just two days, I am overwhelmed with the great service from Zappo's and the New Balance 574 is a fantastic shoe. Stylish, comfortable, stable and they wear like iron. Thanks.

I don't know how many pairs of 574's I've owned in my life, but a a lot, and I love them. They're such great looking shoes, always getting compliments! They're not sneakers for running or doing exercise, but great stylish casual sneakers. These red and grey ones may be my favorite yet, great looking! I recommend replacing the inserts with something more supportive...makes them more comfortable. Highly recommended, very true to size.

Most comfy sneaker I've worn. Nike has slick advertising campaigns but can't beat NB in support and comfort.

These shoes fit great! They are classic, comfortable and great for everyday wear and I love them! They fit true to size.
