Not like the last ones - This is the 2nd pair I've owned. First were awesome right out of the box. These are stiff, almost hard. I've worn them several times and they're still hard on the foot. I've tried "wringing" them to soften them up, but...I'm not giving up on them. They're just too cool when they're right!

This sneaker is OK. It's not uncomfortable but it's not super comfortable either. It does look good with pants.

Not as comfy as I would have liked... I bought these to wear in Disneyland, and I was disappointed. By noon I needed to go back to the hotel to put on sandals because my heels had blisters all over the back of them. This is a common problem for me when wearing athletic shoes for long periods of time, but I only wore them for five hours, so they were a bit disappointing. They're still darn cute, though, with jeans, so I may try them again (I'm a glutton for punishment).

Bring back the Old School in Small Sizes - I had been wearing the Simple Old School sneaker for years (went through 3 pairs over the course of 6 or 7 years) and this spring discovered they stopped making them in small sizes; now only a "men's shoe." I tried this as a replacement, and while I actually like the way it looks, it is not a good walker and is narrower in the toe.

Very nice, casual, clean styling, but arch support insoles are absolutely necessary because the sole is somewhat thin and completely flat. The rubber sole going higher up on the back of the heel is nice for avoiding heel marks from driving. These may be okay for someone with slightly wider than usual feet.

Dissapointed - I was looking for a little nicer looking casual shoe, and picked this one. It is nice looking, but I wear a size 11B, and this shoe just amplified the size of my foot. The toe area is very wide and the stitching visually made my foot look even wider. There also is very little padding - not very comfortable. I returned the shoe and ended up buying the Timberland Metrorun and am very happy with it.

Weird Color.... I got this in burgundy, it's a comfortable shoe but the color is very odd. On the Simple Website it looks dark red, here on Zappos it looks orangey, and in real life it looks faded orangish/red. I would go with another color if you want this shoe.

Wider than expected. Overall very comfortable and good looking, but after just a few wearings, the shoe became wider than original fit and my feet are definitely on the narrower side of medium.

I could use a little support, here! I love these shoes so much so, that I kept them even though they break my number one rule of shoes. They need decent arch supports! They're great looking shoes (they make my big size-10 feet look at least one size smaller!) and the heel collar is low and soft enough that you don't get blisters even when they're new, but the arch support is comparable to old white Keds.

Great shoe - I purchased 2 colors, indigo and plaid, of Simple's Sugar from Zappos.com. Although the look and feel are great, the indigo faded onto the white trim. Other than that issue, I've had no problems and love the shoe's style and fit. I've received quite a few compliments, especially on the plaid.

Not as Comfortable as I thought! These shoes look wonderful, but the ongoing problem with these shoes is that they do not have the support your foot needs for walking for any length of time. If the manufacturer would only add a better arch support, they would have the perfect shoe. They need to listen to the consumer and add the support your foot needs! I would definitely buy these again if they would only add the support I need.

Disappointed - I heard these shoes were comfortable and run large. I normally wear a size 7, but my foot felt uncomfortably squeezed. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and have been wearing them a lot, doing lots of walking. My toes are cramped but shoe is too long, so my heel has been rubbed the wrong way. I have to double my socks. I like the look and believed the other reviews, so I'm quite disappointed.

Disappointing. I've had simple sandals which have been extremely comfortable. These are just plain not comfortable even though they look like they would be. Very stiff, no arch support, hard insole, not cushy at all, the top of the shoe is so stiff it digs into the top of my foot when I bend they shoe while walking. The laces are ridiculously long and they make your feet look enormous. Too bad because in the photo they look like cute, retro, comfy sneaks.

Great if you are flat footed - No support, cute show but absolutely no support.

Sweet Simple Shoes - Very comfortable & cute on top of it!
