Great shoe but wearer beware... First let me say I LOVE these shoes. They're cute as all get-out, and they look great with everything from jeans to capris and shorts. They're quite comfortable, too, as long as I'm not on my feet all day. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of wearing these before I broke them in. Walking all day at the zoo nearly made me cry from the blisters I got. After a couple wearings, though, they seem to have loosened up and now my feet don't rub so much in them. Still, first time out, I should have worn these with some thick walking socks to minimize the rubbing. Lesson learned. If you're on your feet all day, definitely look into a cushioned insole. The insoles that come with these shoes provide marginal comfort, but after about 4 hours on your feet, you're going to feel like you're barefoot on concrete. Not fun. Luckily, the insoles are removable so you can insert better ones. Even with the caveats, though, these are still fabulous looking shoes. The shoes they're replacing I wore nearly every day for almost 4 years. Let's hope these last as long.

Simple. They look great with khakis and jeans. Comfortable for casual wear (although not the greatest for all day trekking). I'm considering buying other colors. My favorite sneaker, because it balances comfort with some style.

Great look. I'm used to wearing a New Balance 926 which is an extremely supportive shoe. I wanted a sneaker that was softer and more flexible. This shoe is but I guess I require a bit more support. My feet were sore at the end of the day. I love how they look. I'm recovering from planar fasciitis so I hope once recovered that I will be able to wear these shoes.

Comfy, and fast - I knew exactly what I wanted, they had exactly what I wanted (yay, it wasn't discontinued!) and it came REALLY fast. (If your feet hurt at work, and you HAVE to wear black shoes, these are excellent. Well, at least my managers are putting up with them for now. I did put black laces in to stand out less.)

Great walking shoe! I needed a shoe for walking and I needed it fast! They arrived, of course, very quickly - the usual for Zappos! Comfortable shoe for walking - didn't have any 'break-in period' - just comfort. My feeling is that it runs about 1/2 size smaller than the size that's stated.

Simply casual!! I have been looking at these sneakers for years- but with Zappos easy and free shipping/return policy, I finally decided to make the purchase. I have been very pleased- they are cute and clean looking. Not a lot of arch support but otherwise fit and feel good. I may have to get a pair in red!! Thanks Zappos for making shoe shopping for the indecisive so easy.

Great Shoes! Love the shoes! They are a step up from a tennis shoe, with still a sporty look! I get lots of compliments when I wear them!

Simple Sugar = Sweet! I like these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box. For my feet the shoes could have used a little more arch support but the inserts I bought fit inside perfectly & now I can wear them all day in complete comfort. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable, casual shoe that doesn't make you look like you are headed to the gym.

Great weekend shoe! This a great looking sneaker for running weekend errands. They are quite comfortable and stylish. I haven't felt any rubbing or pinching. They also are very well made and I think they will hold up well. I've only worn them twice and have already received compliments on them.

Cool Shoes - I love the look of these shoes. They look nicer than ordinary sport shoes and pass for a dressier appearance. They don't have a very good arch support, but I've added my own which I've purchased at a local drugstore.

Simple Sugar Review - I felt the way another customer as far as finding a shoe that looks and feels like a sneaker, but doesn't look like you're about to run a marathon. It has a casual look with the comfort of a sneaker, however I found for me, the inside seam that runs along the smallest toe, gave me blisters as it rubs against that toe with each step. Both of my little toes were in pain with every step.

Great looking tennis shoe - Love the look, mostly comfortable. I think the soles could use more cushioning, and they do not run as narrow as the Simple sandals, but they can fit a narrow foot. I get tons of compliments on them, definitely dressier than your average tennis shoe. I have them in black and am thinking of getting them in khaki as well.

Simple Shoes - Red - The shoes are adorable. However, the heel area on top is a little uncomfortable. It seems as though a little more padding would be nice. They tend to rub in that area. Overall, they rate a 4 out of 5 though. Very cute and functional! I would recommend them to a friend!

Cute shoes - I like the style of these shoes. They run a little small in my opinion. If I did it again I would order a half-size larger. They aren't as comfortable as my previous pair of Privos that these replaced, but they look better than the Privos. Overall, I think it was a good purchase and I would probably order them again. The color selection is really cute too.

Very cute shoes, I wore them on trip to Vegas and did a lot of walking, but I got a blister on my heel after the 2nd day, might have been the socks I was wearing. Great for casual Friday in the office.

Ahhhhhhh.... So hard to find a "tennis shoe" these days, that doesn't look like I'm going to run a marathon. Seems that specialty athletic shoes have hijacked the good old sneaker. But here it is, an updated version of the reliable canvas shoe, done in suede, with a substantial and supportive sole. I wear a 7.5M, ordered true to size, and found both the length and width to be perfect for me. As somebody who believes "the more arch, the better," I have to say that while the arch support is okay, it did not support my feet as I'd have liked. Time will tell if I need to put in a teensy little insole. It's a great looking shoe, nicely made, a terrific value.

Comfort at a cost - These are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased, but have that bowling shoe/grandma shoe look. Sometimes, you have to sacrifice looks for a great fit.

I'm sweet on sugar - I purchased the Simple's Sugar in navy and burgundy. Very nice! Very comfortable! However not at first since the back canvas part of the heel seems to be a bit stiff, (maybe if that part was suede it would be fine), but after 2 wearings just perfect. I wear them all the time. My first purchase with Simple and I'm glad I did.

Simple shoes "Sugar" I purchased this casual shoe to replace another pair from another company that aren’t made anymore and mostly because they are the closest I could find to resemble the old shoes I liked so much. The Sugar is more like a sneaker or athletic shoe, fit is true to size in my opinion width is good no blisters or discomfort at all from the very first time I wore them. The only things that I do not like as much as on my old shoes is they don’t come in regular leather just the suede and they do feel heavier than my old ones. A bit warm but that is because its still quite warm here, possibly they make ones feet sweat a bit more or I am just so accustomed to my old shoes that nothing short of another pair will measure up! I do like the bit of a toe cap and the rubber extends up the heel as well which keeps them looking new longer and not get scuffed so easily. If they were made in smooth leather they would be perfect. I find the nubuck a bit harder to keep looking nice than the smooth leather.

Comfortable & sassy - I ordered these for a 2 week walking tour of Europe. Simple Sugar is recommended by Travelsmith, but they were sold out. I also ordered a pair of Born shoes, and ended up choosing these over Born (shocking!). They are very comfortable and light.

Really nice dress-up sneaker! This shoe is much more comfortable than a similar Simple Shoe I had a few years ago. More support, softer feel. I get a lot of compliments on how the shoes look.

Great shoes! Sporty but attractive, these shoes are very comfortable. I had to adjust to the stitching in one place, but that eased very quickly.

Jeans shoe - Because I like my rusty colored "Sugar" so much, I ordered the blue pair. These shoes are good to walk in and look good with jeans. However, I would have preferred that the blue ones were blue all over as my other pair are rusty all over and do not have the white stripes. They are very comfortable.

Great shoes - These shoes are comfortable for long wear. They can be dressed up or down. I'm very pleased with them.

Just what I have been looking for - Really enjoy the look of the shoe in sand color. Not a real substantial shoe for hard walking or hiking. A bit more insole would be helpful. I got better insoles to replace the ones that came with the shoe.
