Couldn't stand it between my toes... Maybe it's just me, but the thong between the toes was REALLY uncomfortable... more so than a regular flip flop. It may take time to get used to but I didn't want to go through the pain or blisters. Also, this shoe runs a little big.

Walking in my house they were O.K. I know they have to mold to your feet, but I was out all day and I HAD to buy another pair just to get home. They killed my feet, it felt like walking on rocks.

I bought my first pair of black Gizeh sandals in 2006, I’ve had a 3 pair since because I wear them constantly during warm weather. The only black sandals you’ll ever need.

I bought these shoes right before Memorial Day weekend and so far they are basically the only shoes I wear. The sizing was true to size. With Birkenstocks, you don't want your toes right on to the edges of the shoe. You want space in the back and in the front to provide more comfort. I got my usual size which is a 9 and they had the perfect amount of space. I am a person who loves snug shoes (soccer and tennis shoes) and I totally thought these fit great. They were extremely comfy and had a lot of support. I put a lot of weight on my feet from sports, and these shoes feel amazing on my feet after practice. I did not need to break in my shoes nor did I get any type of blister or redness from them. One tip is to buy the Birkenstock cork life. You put the sealant on the cork of your shoes every 3 months or so depending on how much you wear them, and the cork will not wear away.

I love these shoes! I have random issues with my feet and need to buy good quality, supportive shoes. Initially I bought the 39 because I wear 8 in dress shoes and 8.5 in athletic shoes. They were entirely too big. I exchanged the 39 for a 38 and they are perfect! Unfortunately I have found that comfort often translates to old lady looking. :( I wore these to festival and got lots of compliments. They are much improved from my hippie days of wearing Birks and wool socks!

I love these shoes! I ended up returning original size 37 and exchanging for 36. I normally wear a size 6.5-7. These did not take any breaking in. They were instantly comfortable, and I have received so many compliments on them. I love the gold accents and the linen texture. They're my favorites!

Birkenstock's sandals are great for people like me with wide feet and who need arch support. These mold to your feet quickly. I like the smooth leather strap better than these textured ones however.

I love, love, love these shoes! These are my first Birkenstocks, when I first put them on they felt like they were a little big but after finding how they mold to your feet they are perfect! The most comfortable shoes ever. Love them - do yourself a favor and snap up a pair, you will not regret it!

I bought these in patent white, size 39 (8-8.5) after reading many reviews suggesting ordering a size down. I wear an enclosed shoe size 10 as is and ended up having to send them back for the size 40 after all. I wore them for less than 5 minutes and knew I was going to love them! No break in time and not uncomfortable with the plastic thong, like many others were in their reviews. If you are thinking about buying this shoe then do it. They are wonderful!

Zappos could not be any more customer friendly. Of course these shoes are as wonderful as the rest of the Birkenstocks; I love them.
