The most comfortable sandals I have ever had. The comfort far out ways the price.

Perfect fit. This is my second pair of Mephisto sandals and although they are the most expensive sandals I own, they are also the most comfortable.

Very comfortable sandal.

I have purchase no less than 15 pair, probably closer to 20 pair, of the Mephisto Sharks over a 20 year period. I have tried most every recommended sandal on the market and not a single once comes close to the comfort provided by the Shark. Can't imagine life without them :-).

Great for walking! This is my 6th or 7th pair! The Cadillac of sandals!

These Mephisto sandals are exceptionally comfortable. I took an old pair of an inexpensive sandals from another manufacturer on vacation and found that they were less than comfortable (to say the least!), so that's why I purchased these Mephisto sandals. And I'm very pleased that I did! The only caution to potential buyers is that I wear a 45 in Mephisto shoes, but needed to go up to a 46 in their sandals.

I was not too keen on spending 300 dollars on sandals, but my past pair of 125 dollar sandals did not last long here in Florida, so I gave these a try. I have only had them a few weeks, but they feel solid and sturdy. They are surprisingly comfortable and look sharp. I think they will last a good long while, and so far I am quite happy!

These are the best sandals I have ever owed. Well worth the price. Extremely well constructed and the comfort is beyond anything your feet have ever experienced in a sandal. I recently just bought ( 7/2018 ) my second pair of Sharks. The first pair I had bought at least 6 years ago. I still have them but this spring was it for them, they are pretty worn out. Great beach or fishing sandal at this point. I am a 8.5 in US sizing but the Mephisto Shark is made to European sizing so they run big. I got the Shark in a European size 41 which would be according the the size chart a US size 7. According to the size chart I should have gotten a 42 (US size 8) but I once tried on a 42 and they were way to big, the 41 is a perfect fit for me.

Had worn Mephisto Shark sandals for years and switched to another brand, switched right back to Mephisto. Sandals are much easier on your feet with decent arch support. Always wear orthotics but able to get sufficient comfort without them wearing these sandals.

My husband loves these sandals. This is his third pair and he wears them all summer long. They are a good fit and very comfortable.

Zappo's service is always first class service, no problems ever. As for Mephisto Sharks, this is the second pair I've purchased because they are simply the most comfortable sandals I've ever found! I can walk in them for miles with nothing but comfort. I highly recommend them.

The Shark is a good design with high quality materials.I rate them a 5, but a footbed imperfection located where the front strap attaches to the left side of the left sandal feels like you're stepping on a small stone. Consequently, they are being returned.

I expected to love these shoes, but there are a few problems. I have patiently tested these shoes over a number of days, wearing them for 20 or 30 minutes, and I reluctantly must return them. Problems are: 1) my left little toe feels jammed no matter how carefully I adjust. 2)The front edge of the top strap front strap digs into my feet, or it feels too loose. Maybe if there were a back strap which I could tighten, I could have mitigated that. 3) There is, surprisingly, a tiny, "trench" which goes completely around the the sole. If you look at the "top view" photo and zoom in, you will see what I am talking about. The trench is just a few millimeters wide by a few millimeters deep, and on the inside of the shoe. This is partly of why my left little toe is complaining, but I feel this trench elsewhere on my feet too. I have learned the hard way, if you buy expensive shoes, and they are not comfortable right away, you should not expect them to break in and feel better. I bought a pair of Ecco Biom Sport Grips at a high price and had to finally admit my error after months of kidding myself.

It took me a few tries but this one is a winner. The help from the Zappos staff was much appreciated. Thank you guys very much.

I bought my last pair 5 years ago and they just now are getting to the point of retirement. It was great to put on the new pair and realize how much I like these sandals. I wear them everywhere even though my wife hates them...or maybe that's why...anyway I love the Sharks.

This sandal/shoe reaffirms my belief that Mephisto makes the most comfortable and lasting shoe and I have ever owned. Yes, you pay a lot for a shoe that most other companies charge 1/3 or 1/4 the price, but I still have every pair of Mephisto shoes I've purchased going back to the 1990's. They last and last and last, and you can have them refurbished to get more wear out of them. Every other shoe I own with the exception of Mesphisto and Allen Edmonds seem to wear out in a couple of years or less. Plus, they don't feel like you're putting on your favorite pair of slippers like Mephisto's do. In my humble opinion, they're worth the extra expense unlike a lot other European made shoes.

Great shoe best I ever owned. I purchased a size 46 and it worked perfectly. I normally wear an 11.5 in all my shoes and boots. I also think this would fit someone who was a normal size 12 as well. I just like the little extra room upfront so the toes are not right at the edge of the toe area.

Excellent sandal! The most comfortable and easy to wear sandal ever; they do not get better than these. If you can afford them, buy them. If you cannot afford them, work overtime until you can. The last pair of sandals I will ever buy.

Amazing is an understatement, grossly! These sandals will put any other sandals to shame, not that there aren't many amazing sandal choices out there, but Mephisto are masters at design and materials used. Do not hesitate to try these, investing in comfort for your feet is important. Unbelievably comfortable and durable and stylish, get yours today!

Ordered 5 pair of sandals and this pair was the best looking with higher quality leather, nice color and great fit. Expensive but certainly heads above other options. Quick delivery from Z.

I bought a pair of these in 1999. They were the most comfortable sandals ever. I just had to throw them out the other day. Time for a new updated pair!

I wear exclusively sandals. Was a great fan of mbt. Except too rolly in the long run bought my first pair of mephista shark sandals for a lot at dillards september 2013. Best sandals ever. Later installed a slightly raised arch support. My feet are kind of tricky. Not the fault of mephisto. Am now buying my second pair from Zappos. Hope they fit as well as the first pair.

The Mephisto Shark is definitely the best sandals I've ever owned. Comfortable cushioned insoles and quick push-button instep strap add to convenient on-off. I have another pair of the Mephisto Sharks that I've owned over 5-years, and they are still in great condition.

These are excellent quality and comfortable sandals. I highly recommend them without reservation. Some Mephisto shoes are now being made too narrow. They are no longer comfortable for walking and long periods on one's feet. But these sandals are outstanding as to fit and finish.
