Mephisto Helen - I just received my fourth pair of Mephisto Helen. I can't say enough about this shoe! I have totally flat feet, a horrible back, a knee that needs surgery and this shoe almost makes me forget all of it!!! I love the terrific arch support! I wear them almost all of the time--even in the winter--and we live in the mountains!!! Zappos has great service and an awesome selection!!

comfortable - Mephisto Helen are the most comfortable shoes, you can wear them all day. Living in Arizona, I've found them to be the best sandal for this climate. I own five pairs of them, my husband also owns four pairs himself. Please don't ever stop making them. We love them.

Why not offer a wide width, Mephisto? I really wanted to love these shoes--the lavender color is gorgeous, the straps fit and they look so good. But the sole is too narrow for my toes, and I know the pinky over the edge will lead to blisters, corns and cranky were (especially at these prices). Couldn't Mephisto make these in wide?

Comfy! These shoes are very comfortable and stylish. I own them in green, pink, and white. The service from Zappos was awesome. I was very impressed with their speedy delivery and customer service. I would definitely shop from them again.

Great Sandals!! This is my third pair. I love them. They are so comfortable. You can walk all day in them without knowing you actually have them on! They are a must have! Order a size larger then you normally wear due to the lip around the shoe.

Paradise for your feet - I have hard to fit feet. They are narrow, bony and my right ankle was seriously injured some time ago. I also walk about six miles a day in NYC and want to be sure I can walk home in an emergency, such as a blackout. Oh yeah, I love beautiful shoes and was craving gold leather sandals. These shoes are extremely comfortable and also very attractive. I don't like to wear anything else. The strap adjusts to fit a narrow instep, the thing between the toes softens up fast, as do the straps. No blisters, just bliss. Better than Birkenstock. Better than bare foot. Buy them. Well worth the money

Simply the best sandal! I have worn this style for years and I never tire of it. This shoe is comfortable, stylish (in a very down to earth way) and rugged.

I just purchased my 11th pair of Mephisto sandals, nine of which are the Helen style. I also have numerous pairs of Birkenstocks, but find the Mephistos to be much more comfortable and supportive. The quality of the shoe is excellent and well worth the price (I've paid a little less for Birkenstocks only to discover that the uppers are not even leather). I have several pairs that are over 5 years old, and they are still in excellent shape. I also found that there was no "break-in" period. They were comfortable from the first day I put them on.

Best Sandals...Ever! From the minute I took the sandals out of the box and slipped them on my feet, I knew these were going to be sandals would be the first and last pair of sandals that I would want to wear...Ever! They fit like a dream, have wicked good arch support, cradle my heel, are rugged and look super cool. I think these sandals are as good as it gets in comfort and style. The sandal search is over...Yahoo!

Took a little getting used to but the suede is softening and tender "between the toes" area is adjusting. I own 3 pairs of Mephisto sandals and find they are even more comfortable than Birkenstock. I highly recommend this brand.

Great shoe - I put these on and spent a whole day shopping with no problems. They fit perfectly with no rubbing. Zappos is amazing! I ordered the wrong size, got a return label, and reordered the correct size on the day I received them and received the new ones the next day!!! I don't know how they did that!! Received the refund for the old ones a week later. I now buy most of my shoes here.

COMFORT! These shoes are incredibly comfortable! For a girl who loves platforms and heels this shoe was truly built for the foot. Considering Mephisto falls into that catagory of "earthy", the large selection of colors makes this shoe somewhat fashionable. Everyone should own at least one pair.

It really is comfortable! The first time I put the shoes on my feet, I was worried about the strap between my toes (I have bunions!) It rubbed a bit and caused irritation but just by wearing the shoes for a few hours the leather softened enough to eliminate any rubbing. I love the support in an open sandal. I wore the shoes during a recent long travel day. Even long walks in the airports did not tire my legs and my feet never hurt! I love the shoes although they do make the bunions predominant. But, it's worth it!

Sheer comfort - I am astonished at how comfortable this shoe was from day one! My feet are difficult to fit and I thought for sure the sandals would be too narrow but they are perfect. Also the toe piece feels so comfortable-no irritation at all. The arch support is perfect. I wore these for a full day of walking the day after I received them and my feet were on cloud 9. I am off to Italy shortly and plan to wear these daily. While I don't think these are gorgeous looking sandals, they are much more attractive than most walking sandals and the choice of colors is great. I am a Mephisto fan!

Most comfortable sandal - This is the best sandal I've tried--absolutely comfortable and a great fit.

Mephisto Helens - I've worn these sandals for several years, I buy another color or two every year and wear them until the snow flies. I've had at least 6 pairs and love them all. People always tell me that they like my sandals. They're a little pricey, but better than the shoes that are uncomfortable and sit in the closet unworn. I hope they never quit making them!

The best sandal I've ever worn. This is my 4th pair of this sandal, I love the look and especially the comfort. This last pair was black patent wish is dressier but with same familiar comfort. I won't wear any other sandal.

Mephisto Helen - I generally buy Birkenstock's, but tried this Mephisto sandal because my favorite Birkenstock style, which is similar, is not available in black. The Mephisto is a different fit, a slimmer contour than the Birkenstock (which I still like), but the Mephisto has extra arch support and more padding which make it a very comfortable "walking sandal". I have since bought it in other colors. Overall-- a great sandal for both style and comfort.

Great Shoes! Mephisto's Helen are wonderful shoes from the moment you slide your feet into them. The leather thong, particularly between the toes, takes a few wearings to break in so expect that the leather will feel a bit tough at first. The sole is great - I have rheumatoid arthritis - and can wear these shoes for hours in the summer - very good cushion on the sole.

I love my new sandals. Firstly, I should note that I ordered these shoes on a Tuesday evening and received them the next day even though I used 'standard shipping'. Secondly, I just want to say that it took under two days to break-in these sandals. They're very comfortable, and less clunky than Birkenstocks.

"H" is for me! Any Mephisto shoe that begins with "H" has a footbed that fits me PERFECTLY. I especially like this style because the shoe does not flip-n-flop when walking. I have 7 pairs (4 styles) of "H" footbed sandals and this style is by far my favorite. I have the Helen sandals in red and black patent leather. They look so "summery" which is a plus living in South Florida.

I can stand up all day PAIN FREE!~ I am an avid fan of Birkenstock, but couldn't really find the style I wanted. These Mephisto are WONDERFUL. They are actually comfortable on the first day of wear. (Birks take a while to "break in"). I am pregnant and stand up all day (8 -10 hrs) for work. These shoes have ended my daily pain and helped me not be so cranky!

Mephisto Helen a great shoe - I have 2 pair of Mephisto Helens and will probably buy more colors.
