This has become my favorite summer sandal it is so comfortable and has great support. This was the first Mephisto thong sandal I've tried and I love it.

I have had my Mephisto Helen sandals for seven years and wear them almost every day in the summer (and for the first two years almost every day because I lived in Florida). They are extremely comfortable! And they have lasted me a very long time. It is time for a new pair because after so many years, they are now a little too loose. They are well worth the money.

I have a fused ankle. These are about the only shoes I ever wear. Maybe a fashionable sandal for dinner out!

I've bought these sandals for my sister, she is not in this country, so I didn't see how these cuties look on her, but I talked to her and I know that she absolutely loves them.They do need about a week of break in time,but now they are her #1 sandals in terms of comfort and very pretty looks.I also love Zappos and think their service is wonderful.

This is my third pair of Mephisto sandals and my second in this style. I bought my first pair around 10 years ago and thought they were expensive - they lasted so long and were so comfortable that they were more than worth the price. I bought these in brown (leather) two years ago to replace them. Length-wise I'm probably a 35 1/2 (which doesn't exist in this shoe) and my feet are very narrow, but my feet fit in them so well and the molded soles are such that they don't look too big and are super comfortable. Wore them all over Europe two summers ago and they are still great and still look new. I've always had small narrow feet so loved that I could adjust them and that my feet stay in them well despite the width of the shoe bed. Since buying them I've developed a medical issue where my feet and ankles can swell up without notice. Last year I had to replace most of my shoes with a size larger just to accommodate this problem but didn't have to replace these. I haven't adjusted them even on days when my feet start out skinny and end up swelled - they are just that soft and pliable. I've also developed fibromyalgia so I really need comfortable shoes. They are not the most fashionable looking but they are great with jeans, shorts, capris and I can walk in them for hours. The asymmetrical shape also helps hide how fat my feet and ankles look when they do swell. They are not the kind of sandal that you can dress up but they look fine for a casual sandal & for sheer comfort I've never found a more comfortable shoe.

I have about 8 pairs of these sandals. They are the most comfortable sandals I have ever had. They also hold up very well. I wear them all summer and in the winter I wear the 'Hannel' at home with socks.

I just bought my second pair of Helen Mephistos before a 6-week international trip with lots of full days of walking. The bronze is just dressy enough to wear to anywhere just shy of super-fancy. They are foot-form fitting and comfortable right out of the box. These are my every day shoes when I'm at home as well and someone asks me almost once a week where to get them. I really think the color boosts them into something very special. Granted I live in a warm casual California climate, but at a meeting one morning, there were three of us wearing Helens.

This is my 4th color in this style. Comfortable, great arch support for my flat feet. I ordered a size up as they seem to vary in size from color to color. Weird but true.

Love, love, love the shoe. My only problem is that it is ever so slightly narrow for my foot so ill be ordering the plus style to see how that works. The shoe is constructed beautifully, you couldn't ask for a better shoe.

Whenever I need new shoes I go first to Zappos. Their selection of Mephistos and Helle Comfort, both great shoes for comfort and style, is better than my local store. Zappos' prices are the best, their selection of colors and styles are the best, and shipping is fantastic! I highly recommend shopping for shoes at Zappos.

Amazing comfort! Mint patent color adds a little fun to the "comfort sandal" style. Much more comfortable compared to similar style Birkenstock. Felt great from first minute I put them on.

Great shoes. Have been wearing this style for 20 years. Only shoe I can wear. I can't wear any other shoe that goes between toes but these. Love them.

I love these shoes - they are so comfortable! The footbed is actually grey, not brown, but I like it better than the other pair that I ordered that have a brown foodbed.

I wear an 8B — I got the 39 which is the right length but had to send them back because they are too narrow for my foot. (They should be perfect for A width or narrower feet.) So I got the Helen Plus which is the right width for me (and the same width as regular width Birkenstocks) and I'm happy with it although minor complaints are that the suede in the footbed isn't as soft as the regular Helen, and they aren't quite as padded. I am so disappointed that the Helen is the only style Mephisto makes in a Plus, and in only three colors!

I have plantar fasciitis, high arches, and problems from a Lis Franc sprain, so am constantly looking for the best shoe ever that is supportive and cute. If you have plantar fasciitis or high arches, this could be the sandal for you! I followed the advice under the description of the sandals and ordered a full size up. I didn't need it, and ended up exchanging it for a 35, which is perfect. I generally wear a size 6 shoe, but a 35 in Dansko and Sanita. (The 36 was perfect in the Hannel, mind you.) The length, width, and support are awesome. They are awesome looking - I tried both the nubuck and the grey etna. I am returning them (regretfully) because they irritate the top of my foot where I had my Lis Franc sprain.

These are hands down the most comfortable summer sandal I have ever worn. I like the style and if you buy them in bright colors or patent leather, they are marginally more hip. They take a couple of wearings to get just right but once they break in a bit, they are brilliant. And Mephisto has instituted a program of rebuilding and refurbishing the sandal for less....very cool.

My first Mephisto purchase and certainly not my last! I normally wear size 10-10.5. The size 11(41) fit perfectly. The adjustable strap gives my narrow foot a secure fit in this shoe. I will definitely order the Helen in other colors.

I am a true 7.5 & the 38 is a perfect fit. Comfortable right out of the box. I had ordered the grey etna & found it to be way too shiny, & almost a bronzy grey. It was almost cheap looking. It is darker in the photo. I returned them for the waxy black sandals & they are much more stylish. The piece between the toe on the grey etna was stiffer than the waxy black. Perhaps because it was a patent leather type material. The waxy black leather is soft & feels already broken in. Got these to wear on an Italian vacation this summer. The appear to be a comfortable, substantial shoe for walking with a lot of arch support.

I searched and searched for the perfect summer sandal (casual yet dressy and comfortable). This is the sandal. Fits perfectly and looks so cute. I love that the straps can be made tighter or looser (my feet sometimes swell). This sandal is worth the money. In fact I just ordered another Mephisto sandal (Elka) as well!

I had another pair of these a while back and lost them. They are the best! So comfy you could wear them all day. Thanks for all you help and many exchanges, you are the best. Love the color too, really shiny and gem to go with silver accessories. Thanks, Zappos!

I have been wearing Mephisto sandals for several years, find them to be very comfortable easy on your feet, especially on tile floors.

I read a lot of reviews before ordering these. Normally I gravitate towards Birkenstocks for the summer, but saw these in a store and thought they were cute. (I ordered from Zappos because of their great shipping and return policy.) I ordered a whole size up after reading that they do run small. I am normally an exact 10, so I was worried the 11 would be too big; however, it was perfect! I think they run a little on the narrow side, my feet don't have much room on the sides but it isn't a problem as far as comfort goes. It did take a couple of times to get used to the toe strap, as any summer shoe does at first. I can walk for hours and not have achy feet, legs, or back when I wear these. I also love the light sand patent, such a great color for summer! Goes with anything! I've gotten tons of compliments! I am a strong believer in you get what you pay for, and these are worth every penny.

Great every day casual sandal. Need to break in the toe strap so plan to wear a few hours each day for the first few weeks. A perfect fit for the arch.
