Amazing sandal! Wear them every day, even at work. I did get a huge blister after the 2nd wear, but we were in the rain. So after it healed, I tried again, and have worn them ever since.

Cute on your feet and flattering for legs - lengthens leg line especially in tan color. And very comfortable! Footbed little narrower than my Birkenstocks.

These shoes are very comfortable and look good. I like the creative toe ring which helps keep the shoe in place. The shoe bed fits my foot like a glove. Very happy with this shoe. Definitely recommend it.

This is my second pair. This sandal is comfortable from day one! I just parted with my last pair because I wore the bottom out and the leather toe strap broke. BTW, they were at least 5 years old and I wore them everyday in the summers, often walking 3-5 miles a day. Definitely worth the price!

If you are a fan of Mephisto, I do not need to tell you anything! For you newbies, the Helen sandal does run small, so get one size larger. I recently purchased the grey ones, which are a beautiful pewter color. These sandals are worth the price! They last forever!

The Mephisto Helen is the best. This is my fourth pair. I wear a pair in the house, a pair in the yard/garden, and two pairs everywhere else in the summer time. Best comfort for problem feet. Great arch support and a firm sole. I have tried many and no other begin to compare with this shoe. Some Naot sandals will come close, but run on the narrow side. Zappos is my only place for my shoes. The service and delivery is outstanding. Still do not know how they get my shoes to my house the next day! They just are the best. Thank-you.

This is pricier than what I would like to pay but I found it more comfortable than the Birkenstocks I also ordered. It was also nice fit for my narrow feet. The sole bed is soft and well padded when I walked. It felt a little stiff to wear/walk on day #1 I think it will give to my natural foot pattern after a few wears. Goes well with my jeans. Color matches well with my skin tone. So far happy with the purchase.

I purchased the "Helen" in red after several attempts at other brands which were either too narrow or not made as well. These are money well spent, they are comfortable, wide where they need to be and too clunky looking.

So comfortable. I have plantar facitis and Ra AND these sandals have proven to be a godsend. I quickly ordered.a second pair and looking at ordering another pair...

I really love this shoe. This is the 4th pair I have purchased. They are comfortable and fit true to size. I recommend them to anyone who needs comfortable walking sandals.

Great Mephisto style- but I somehow missed the part that says you need to order a FULL SIZE LARGER than normal. So I wrote this review just in case there is someone else who might miss the Zappos description of the shoe.

Comfortable, supportive. I normally wear a 9 in reg shoes, 9.5-10 in running shoes and went with the size 10 in these for great fit. I initially thought the section around the toe would rub but after wearing these for short stints in house nothing happened. I've tried Birks in the past and didn't like that toe ridge area in the footbed - none of that here! Wore them for several hours of errands yesterday with no problems. The black leather is wearing off on my feet some which is annoying (and my feet aren't sweaty) but I'm hoping that diminishes with time.

Best sandal ever! Comfortable, cute, supportive, great arch support, and just feel so good. I have the black, brown, and gray and I love them all! Better than Birkenstocks by far, more unclunky and more feminine looking and doesn't make the 'fart' noises like Birks do when you walk because of the air holes in the heel area. My very favorite summer sandal! If you have any foot issues, then the Mephisto Helen is the sandal you want!

I have come to the point in life where I can no longer wear flat sandals, so I was so happy to find these - which are stylish enough and offer great support. They were comfortable right away with excellent arch support. I am a 5 1/2 in almost all shoes and the 35 worked well for me. I first tried two different styles of Birkenstock sandals. They suggest a 36 for 5 - 5 1/2, but both were too long and wide for my foot.

A fabulous, comfortable shoe! If you are a half size, order up. I'm an 8.5 and normally wear a 38, but after reading other reviews I ordered a 39 and it's perfect. No toe strap issues for me, the shoe was comforatable from the start.

I was looking for exceptional comfort without a style compromise and these shoes delivered. I've had them for a week and have worn them every day. I am already considering another pair.

Bought a pair of these sandals in 2009. Finally ready for "shoe heaven." Liked them so much had to reorder. Ordered size 38 (normally 7 1/2) but had to exchange for 37. I had the easiest exchange process ever. Thanks Zappos!

I have these in every color. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. The Nubuck can be worn immediately because they feel so soft. The arch support is excellent. I highly recommend these sandals!

I really like these. They are a different type of material -- not a hard leather but have a thick 'felt-like' feel to them. I have another pair that are regular leather and I do like them but these were definitely easier to break in...and none of these shoes are hard to break in. Let's just say I'd wear these to Disneyland all day the first day I got them but the leather ones I wouldn't be able to wear to Disneyland until thoroughly broke in. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but through recommendations I ordered a 9 and it fit perfect.

This sandal is very comfortable. 5 years ago I purchased my first pair. I ordered the same same size on the second pair and it was perfect. I would recommend this style.

I probably have 6 pairs of this style of Mephistos. They are extremely comfortable for my hard to fit feet. The arch support is amazing. I particularly like the color of these.

I ordered these shoes yesterday afternoon and was wearing them this afternoon! Boy, do I love Zappos! And I love these shoes, too - they are comfortable out of the box and are great looking. This is my second pair of Helens, and I am thinking that it will not be my last. These are great shoes and are well worth the money. I usually wear a 37 but wear a 36 in this style. The 36 fits perfectly!

Love it. I wanted an alternative to the Birkenstock Arizona that had a more formal style and found it in this. Super comfortable! You should undo the buckle then put your foot on to make sure the thong is in the web of your toes. You won't feel it at all after it is broken in and in the right spot. It took me two days to break in. The first day of use I walked about 2 hours on them so of course my feet got bruised. Second use I used it more lightly and thereafter, they are a dream! The thong part is soft now and they are awesome to use. They are my everyday shoe now. I had walked in Croc-material shoes for 1.5 hours chasing my kid and my knees and hips hurt so bad (a week+) after I knew I had to get better shoes. Now the pain is gone! Highly recommend! (I have wide feet - size WW in Munro, and D usually - and these fit fine.)

A vacation for your feet! These are the most comfortable sandals ever. I had a pair years ago and I have tried many other sandals since. No other sandals give the support and comfort that these do. I think they are true to size. I wear a 9 to 9.5 and the 39 fits like a glove. And thank you Zappos for your free returns on the other sandals I tried before ordering these!

I absolutely love this sandldle. It is very comfortable and stays on your feet with no effort. I have serval pairs and still have the first pair I bought more than 15 years ago. Mephistopheles has a reconditioning service which practically give you a new pair any time you send shoes or sandldle to them.
