This is my 4th pair of Mephisto Helens, and any time I find a pair on sale I’m buying them! They are by far the best sandals I’ve ever worn in terms of arch and heel support and comfort. After suffering with plantar fasciitis for over three years, these shoes helped my feet heal and stay supported so I could stay active. I order the same European size I wore in Birkenstocks and did not need to upsize as I’ve seen suggested.

37 fits my arch just right, but my foot fills up the footbed with no room to spare. I have several pairs of the Mephisto Helen sandal. I’ve worn them for years and have never found a more comfortable shoe. I have metatarsalgia, plantar fasciitis, bunions, and very flexible feet. These give me the firm support I need, without being hard.

Fit is great, I only wear these and Birkenstock as my primary shoe. Love all the color options and actually wore a colorful sparkle sandal for my daughters wedding and received so many compliments and I was so comfortable!

Fit exactly as expected ... very well made shoe. Felt like it might need a little breaking in, but also felt great on my high arches. I returned it because I got the gray but it was very metallic and dark and I was hoping for more of a neutral gray

I read the reviews about order Mephisto as size larger than my normal size. I’m glad I listened to those reviews. I received these before getting on a 5 day family trip. They wore comfortable immediately & got better as the footbed conformed to my foot! They were casual enough for day & dressy enough for dinners out. I WILL be ordering another color!

I never write reviews but these sandals are exceptional! Excellent all day comfort. Literally want to wear them everyday. Cork footbed forms to your feet. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for high quality, comfortable shoes. Well worth the money, they will last several years of normal wear.

This is my 4th pair of Helens. The first pair lasted 10 years! They are great sandals and good for my feet on the hard floors in the house and anywhere else.

Wonderful sandal! This is the third pair of Mephisto Helen's I have purchased--first two pair were for me; this pair purchased as a gift. The recipient was delighted.

I live in these shoes.......I own 4 pair but the black nubuck is what I usually wear. my old ones got ripped accidentally so I had to quickly get a new pair. I'm a massage therapist who survived one bout of Plantar Fasciitis. I've worn them ever since........over 20 yrs. I get compliments on them all the time. Thank you Mephisto for making the most comfy and supportive shoes and Thank you Zappos for your speedy service.

Definitely don't buy these too short. Your true size will look like it fits but Mephisto says these shoes are best with a little extra room front and back and they are telling the truth. I guess its' due to the contoured footbed. These shoes are very supportive and run narrower than a birkenstock. I think they are better looking and work well if you have bunions.

I really wanted to like these. I tried them on every day for a week. I bought the blue star and the color would have been great. But the leather was not soft and I was afraid it would not stretch adequately. The toe hole was ok on one foot but I couldn't risk it on the other foot (especially considering the price). It felt like it might amputate my toe. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and the 8 was almost perfect but just a smidgen too small. I'm afraid the 8.5 would be too big.

Fabulous! I love the look and feel of these. Immediately comfortable unless you get the stiffer leather ones. Those had to go back.

This is THE ONE! Birks: too short for my long toes. FitFlop: I have dozens and wanted a cork footbed. This Memphisto is perfect! The footbed is comfortable and keeps my foot cool, the strap does not hurt my bunion and my long toes still have room. NOTE: I wear an 11 and had to "size up" to a 42 which is a perfect fit.

I ordered this sandal in a 37 and a 38 to see which worked best to replace my no-support flip flops. I'm generally a 7.5 M, but for this type of sandal, I need a narrow, or in this case- the 37 fit great. However, I could only try on the right one as I received TWO right shoes! I love the silver color- makes for a fun neutral color which will go with everything and ideally be comfortable with the great arch support. Hopefully the toe strap won't dig in- can't quite tell yet. Zappos of course is great with their customer service, so a pair with a right and a left shoe is on their way to me. These were a better choice than the Birks I also tried- which felt weird and stiff. The Mephistos are less bulky and really cute!

I love the comfort of this sandal so much that I own it in 3 basic colors and have literally worn them traveling all over the world. Very few sandals are comfortable for my foot that has a bunion. They are comfortable all day long and have never given me blisters. And they’ve survived many rainstorms. Every decade or so I replace them with a fresh pair. ?

I have several pair of the Helen. Best sandal out there for problem feet. I only returned these because I really did not like the color.

Love Mephistopheles shoes for casual comfort zone

My Mephisto Helens fit great. I walked in them right away, no rubbing anywhere. Comfort and support. I would recommend these sandals to anyone looking for a warm weather walking shoe.

These shoes are super comfortable w/ great support. I found them to run a little long. In the past I’ve bought a 40 in Mephisto but in this style I needed to exchange for the 39. Well worth the price for happy feet.

I’ve worn these for the past 3 summers now and I love this shoe! I did not follow the recommendations by the manufacturer so I ended up with a shoe that’s a little too big. I definitely recommend following their advice due to the arch support. Despite such, this is a great shoe! I feel stable in it and am grateful for the tread as I never slip as is the case with the popular foam sandals. These may be more expensive up front but they’re wearing well. Look barely used after 3 summers of wear! Definitely recommend. Liked this style more than the more well known brand that is similar to these in look and make.

I'm normally a 10. For the Helen shoe, size 11 fit best. The Niro shoe, 10.5 was too big. Waiting for the 10 in the Niro. I"m guessing it will be fine. Had a pair of both shoes for 10+years. Nothing beats them! Way better than birkenstocks.

This is my second pair of Mephisto Helen sandals. I will never buy another pair of sandals for my feet! (I have also tried Birkenstock in the past). Offers great support and are so comfortable from day one (by the way, best not to get them wet). I even bought the same color again (Platinum Venise) because I felt it really added something more special to the style. Have had other people comment on my cute sandals. After two years, I did have to change them out due to the odor of the footbed, as another reviewer commented, but after wearing them practically 365 days of the year, I thought that was fair enough.

Great sandle but runs really small. I typically wear an 11 or 11.5 and needed a 13. I know that it said to size up but I needed to size up more than expected.
