I have two pairs of Elkas. My last ones, the black patents, will be my dressier shoes for now and on into the cooler months. They are supportive, comfortable, and look very nice with pants and skirts.

First, Zappos is great! I've used it for years and have never received even a questionable product. I'm sold! Next, I adore these Mephisto sandals. I've been wearing this brand and style for about nine years. I just retired a pair that I've been wearing for about five years. I now live in a rather small rural town in Texas. As such, I do virtually all of my shopping online. I have rather wide feet and these sandals not only look stylish, but I'm able to adjust them to actually be comfortable on my platapus-wide feet! No fear, log on to Zappos and find exactly what you want/need. You will not be disappointed!

I have owned 8 different pairs of these wonderful sandals over the years, and I will continue to buy them as long as they are made. I have a narrow foot, and the Elka sandal is the only Mephisto sandal that adjusts to fit it. The sandals are comfortable, give good support, and have just the right heel height. In the past, they were made in a rainbow of colors; now the colors are basic. Although I miss the color range, I will still live in this sandal all summer long.

I love Mephisto shoes. I own many pairs. This style is one of my favorites. I have them in three colors. The style is fashionable, it is light, it is comfortable, and provides great arch support. I highly recommend it.

Perfect heel height. Great arch and foot support. I can wear these all day! Adjustable straps for the perfect fit.

First of all, I love the timeliness of Zappos. I received these shoes probably the next day after ordering them. I love Mephisto and these were to my delight. I will definitely order from Zappos again.

Elka - NEVER STOP CARRYING THIS PRODUCT!!! PLEASE - NEVER DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT - PLEASE!!!! The Mephisto Elka are the MOST comfortable shoes (yes that's plural!) that I own. I had bilateral surgery for Morton neuromas - and still have foot pain. These are the by far the MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES I have ever own. I'm on my THIRD pair of the black patent style - and own two other colors. I love the black patent style as I can wear them for business and still feel a little 'dressy' with my corporate attire. I LOVE Zappos service - and when complimented on my Elka's, I rave about Zappos - You are renown and unbeatable for customer service. I will forever buy my Elka's from Zappos!!! Thank you!!

Elkas are great! This purchase was my seventh pair of Elkas. I love them for work and constantly get compliments on them. They are super comfortable yet somewhat dressy, too. I have high arches and this style is perfect for me.

Great shoe for walking and for feet that get hot. I bought these shoes after a friend had a pair for many years that she always took on vacation. I wanted an open toe, platform with a heel, and comfort. These are perfect. I recently walked all over San Miguel, Mexico in these and had no problems.

Comfortable - I am an Registered Nurse with flat feet and most shoes are not comfortable for me. This sandal is the most comfortable shoe I own. I wore them all summer and into the cooler weather (fall) with knee sox. I miss them now that snow is here.

Elka is a five star winner that I order and wear each year. I started wearing Elka following foot surgery in 2003. I own this show in four colors. While shopping the other day a woman followed me and as I turned around to speak to her, she said "I was looking to see the name on the side of your shoe, they look so comfortable and my feet are miserable." They have just the correct heel height and toe opening for day-long comfort.

I LOVE THESE SANDALS! These have been my favorite for years! I have tried several other brands of sandals for less $$ and they aren't as comfortable and don't last as long! This is definitely a wear everyday type of sandal!

Mephisto Elka - This is my 3rd pair of Mephisto Elka black patent. I actually bought these as a backup pair since they are versatile, comfortable, good looking and great for travel. They don't look like Old Lady "comfort" sandals in the black patent. I have received a lot of compliments.

Great shoe!!! This is a fantastic shoe with support for my plantar fasciitis problem. I also have the same style with the strap on the back. I can wear these shoes for hours and my feet don't hurt. There is extra cushion built into the sole for added comfort. The size runs very true and the straps are great for adjusting to my foot size. I would definitely recommend these shoes for work or casual.

World’s best - They are so comfortable that I'm replacing all my out summer footwear with these and they come in so many colors.

Love the Elka style - This is the most comfortable sandal I own and I have it in almost every color it was available in at the time I purchased it. I always wished that I had ordered the red. The only problem I encountered was that the cork and suede interior wears out faster than the upper portion of the sandal. I would like to send them back to be reconditioned s the price has gone up some since they were purchased. Anyone with hammer toes should consider this style. Unfortunately the local stores that still carry Mephistos in this area have dropped this style. I still like the height you gain by the heel, it makes you feel slimmer.

Great comfort. I have had these shoes for 2 years and I have worn them almost every day in some cases, as I work on my feet all day. These shoes will take you any where in comfort and look great. I have received more compliments on these than I can believe. I also have the brown ones, but the black patent is so outstanding. The straps can be adjusted at any time to give you a great fit. Happy Feet - This is my third pair of Elkas. just the thing for feet with hammer toe trouble. No discomfort here! Thank you for find the only remaining pair in brown on the planet and then sending an email that they were available! Grand service!

Comfy sandal - I wore this sandal all day with no problems. I love it.

Unbelievable comfort - These must be the most comfortable sandals out there. I usually wear heels but I love these. The black patent leather makes them just a little bit dressier. I could wear these all day and experience no discomfort.
