I love the style of this shoe. I love it so much that when my toe broke through the first pair within the first 6 months, I bought another pair from Zappos. My toe cut a centimeter long gash through, but honestly, I'm hard on my shoes and expect them to do more than just go to work at a desk with me. I think I took them on an unexpected hike through the woods once. (I guess that's a testament to their comfort!) So I learned my lesson: I use that 'damaged' pair as spare shoes for running around and the new pair for work. Since they are so inexpensive, I didn't mind getting a second pair. Now, that I've got a second pair to run ragged, I'm hoping this new pair will last a good, long time.

I'm a mechanic and these are good work shoes!

These are great for the price. I have gone through three pairs since 2005. The shiny colors of these boots have a thin vinyl coating that I wore through in the toe kick area after about 1½ years of daily use. Once that happens no amount of shoe polish will hide the scuffs.

I love the look of these shoes, but my toe cut a hole in them within 3 months. I'm hard on my stuff--I get that, but I still think the leather shouldn't cut that soon.

Very comfortable, good fit. Very prompt shipping, exactly what I expected from the pictures online.

Pretty standard, conservative looking shoe that works for work and for casual. It is a big shoe, almost boot sized, but I've had about 5 pairs in various colors over the years and they are my favorite.

I bought several pairs on this or similar styles over the years. They re very comfortable, and because of the heel & toe width, make good insulators in cold weather. My complaint is the black rubber around the ankle dry rots way too quick. No matter what I used to protect it, it will just fall off long before the shoe wears out. I wish Skechers would address this defect!

Looked okay, but felt hard, especially around my ankle, where the tongue hit my instep and the collar hit my anklebone. Loose around the arch and instep. Big toe pressed uncomfortably against the side of the shoe.

It is a great shoe, except like one other reviewer said, the toe collapsed almost right away. My left shoe is perfect, my right shoe, not so much. It creased funny and the toe collapsed, and I'm not able to push it back out with a shoe tree.

I bought these after owning the Skechers Streams for a month and I was looking for a similar shoe in brown. I'd say that the Streams are a far better shoe and would recommend it if color isn't a factor -- the Streams have a comfort insole that's great and it's lacking in the Alley Cats. Also, the sole of the Streams is thicker. Other than that, these are a solid shoe. Like most Skechers it's very well made and after wearing for a month I can tell it is very durable and well-constructed. While not as comfortable as the similar Streams model, it's comfortable enough to wear all day.

I am not recommendng this shoe, the fake leather cracked within two months of wear. I have an office job and wear them to work. I am not that hard on my shoes, so this product is an utter disappointment. On the plus side, I do like the style.

Nice style, great sole for traction. The faux leather is easy to keep clean and looks sharp. HOWEVER, after 6 months of wear there was a horizontal split in the faux leather above the sole. Later there was another split in the faux leather on the top of the shoe where there is a fold. Although I liked the shoes initially, they did not hold up to normal wear.

Shoes came in the wrong width, though I looked at my order and I had chosen the right width. After about 3 weeks, left shoe developed a squeak. Customer service through virtual customer service on the website, refunded money for shoes since an exchange couldn't be made due to shoe size being out of stock.

The toes on these collapse immediately, they\'re made of cardboard or something and they will quickly indent and the new mis-shape will touch your toes. I love this chunky style but they only look good the day you take them out of the box. Sorry.

I purchased Skechers Alley Cats for my husband. This is his third pair! He has wide feet and these shoes accommodate his shoe size and is very comfortable, which is great since he wears them to work every day.

Comfortable shoes, look good. Maybe a little light on the arch support, but really wasn't an issue for me. My main beef is these are strictly casual walking around shoes - not for work (leather is very thin and not very rugged) and definitely not waterproof. When they get wet, they wick up the water like a sponge and make for a miserable experience. Other than that, a-okay.

This shoe lacks toe support. If you press down on the toe, the nose of the shoe presses down and does not back spring up. The shoe loses its shape. I cannot recommend this shoe for that reason.

Surprisingly, for a Skechers product - one I have been loyal to for seveal years, this pair of shoes did not last 4 months! The first time walking in the rain, the finish developed bubbles which split open on the toes. In month 3, one shoe split along the inside sole, leaving a 2 inch gash. Very disappointed, but hopefully an isolated incident.

My husband loves these shoes; he has been wearing them for years. He is very picky about shoes but likes the style and comfort of these. They run large: He has size 9½M feet and used to need an 8½M in this style - but it seems that Skechers has made some adjustments because now he takes a 9M. We wish Zappos would carry the suede version as that is his preference.

These are the coolest looking and most comfortable shoes. I'm a female wearing them with jeans, peacoat, and button down shirts. Great classic look. If your foot is in any way wide, though, you will not want the standard "D" medium, but the wide size. Runs narrower at the ball of the foot. Customer service is exceptional!

I wrote earlier that this was the most difficult shoe to break-in that I'd encountered. Well, it was worth it. It is now the most comfortable shoe I own. I had to wear a couple band-aids over a one week period, but that's all in the past. Love these shoes.

I have been buying the Alley Cats for my husband for over 10 years. I just put a box or two in his closet and when he finally wears out a pair, he looks for the box. I have bought for him other brands, styles and colors and he will wear them on occasion, but the Alley Cats are worn every day to work and I have given up trying to get him to crazy it up. Needless to say, he loves them. He wears them, literally until the sides separate (which is for years). He goes through shoelaces - I wish that they had better laces. Great shoes that match anything but a suit. I refuse to let him wear them with a suit. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good "go to" shoe that can go from work to weekend.

These shoes are very comfortable and sturdy. Only negative thing is the tread pattern is wide and picks up dirt very easily.

Have had these shoes for a while now. They were great out of the box and are still a great shoe. Fit perfect and all that.

My husband loves these shoes. He wears them to work every day and comes home with a smile on his face! Hats off to Sketchers and Zappos.
