Disappointing - I own a pair of Uggs Classic Short boots and they do not compare to these. These boots are expensive and uncomfortable. My feet hurt after 2 hours of wearing them. They are tighter in the foot than the classic short boots and loose in the shin area with a lot less filling inside. As far as looks, the white stitching really stands out, which I find quite unattractive.

Not quite - These didn't work for me. I wear a 7 or 8 so I ordered an 8. They felt too tight in the toes and across the balls, which I suppose might have stretched out with a little wear, but they were way too loose in the heels. So my toes were pinched while my heels went up and down with every step. I really couldn't walk in these. They were such a weird combination of stiffness and sloppiness. Just not made for my feet and ankles, I guess. I have the La Jolla in size 8 and those fit nearly perfectly, so maybe I need something I can secure around the instep and heel.

A Little Short - I just got these and they are not broken in yet but I feel that the boot is a half size too short. This boot is meant to wear without socks and that is how I wear them which explains the smaller sizing. I wear a size 12 and it is hard to find that size in women’s shoes which is why I shop here.

Ugly, but warn and comfortable - I thought that Ugg finally made a boot that looked better than their marshmallow original, but his boot is still "Chubaka" looking. If you want to look like you have an ankle, do not get this boot. If you are looking for comfort, there is nothing else like it. It does feel as though you are in a slipper. I would recommend this boot if you are standing outside for long periods of time. It is perfect for that. I bought something a little more stylish for walking around town, meeting people, etc. Again, do not buy if you are looking to avoid "elephant ankle syndrome." Then again, if it is that cold, who cares?

Glorified rain boots. They looked like wellies. Can't beleive the price and the enthusiasm for these guys. I'd rather stick with the warm comfort of regular Uggs (much warmer and thicker and the fleece liner on these is just that-a liner) and buy a pair of rain boots and a separate nicer pair of boots to wear out. I thought I'd find one pair of boots to do triple duty but I'm realizing that's not going to happen. On a side not if you do want to try these out for me they ran a full size smaller than the classic shorts. I take an 8 in those and a 9 worked great in these.

They look like Santa boots. Wanted to love them. Bought the low version.

Very upset. Spent a lot on these so they would be at my home when I arrived home from a trip. Opened box, tried on and lo and behold, noticed there is no insole whatsoever in either of the boots, right and left! Just hard bottom with nails! Also, I noticed the right boot was tighter in the calf, much more so than the left...I called Zappos and they apologized and told me my size is not in stock. I am returning for full refund. I think Uggs has changed a lot since I bought my first pair of ultimates. I could tell by the lack of quality control that it is probably an Ugg problem not a Zappos problem. Also, just to note, the shoe part is very clunky and heavy though the calf is more streamlined. So if you are looking for a quality boot, I think I might go to another brand! Not worth the money!

These boots are absolute garbage. 4 or 5 years ago, I purchased a black pair of these boots in a shoe store. After trying on a 7, which was too tight, I got an 8, which was perfect. Over the course of wearing the boots for 6 months or so, they stretched out to a size that was a little loose, but still comfortable. The only reason I was now looking to replace them is that the soles are fairly worn, and the leather over the toes is so scuffed and battered that the shoes frankly look like crap. The leather on the shaft has mostly lost its finish, and the uppers can't keep a polish. They fit loosely, but they are incredibly comfortable and still very fuzzy inside. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to purchase a pair of these in brown, again a size 8. I waterproofed the entire boots in three coats. The first time I wore them for several hours, the back of the ankle in the left boot managed to almost rub my heel raw. It turns out that there is exposed stitching that lacks any fleece over it, but at the time I thought it was just the leather bowing inwards. The uppers of the boots have very soft leather with a shallow finish, so the slightest scratch has completely marred the finish, and after wearing the boots for a week, the finish on the toes has completely lost its sheen, and compared to the first pair of these, look like they're at least a year old. The shearling in the shaft is visibly thinner in one boot than the other, and the trimming at the top was poorly done. The shearling in the old pair is easily the same thickness as the average thickness of the shearling in these boots, and I have been wearing them for years and years. These boots fit like the old pair do now, those being heavily worn for years. I should have ordered a 7. The shearling in the new boots is incredibly thin and uneven. I don't know what the hell happened to the quality of Ugg. I do know that they are now manufactured in China from Australian leather and fleece, and think that they may have been made in another country, or by a better factory, or even with higher quality standards in the past. If I had any sense in my brain, I would have sent them back when I opened the box, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. And a week later, deeply regret that decision. As an aside, I purchased a different pair of boots (Brooks 2 Tall) from another store in a similar style, and not only did the fleece look like cheap teddy-bear hide, but the stitching was horribly uneven and around the top, and had exposed stitching in the back of the shaft, with visibly missed stitches. I immediately returned them.

These were much bigger than they looked and felt like a work boot... Heavy and clunky feeling.

Bummer how whenever boot sizes go up (I'm an 11) so does the calf! I could fit a baseball down this calf...so much for staying cozy with the shearling.

Ugg Boots - Not worth the price! I was excited about purchasing these boots. I really like how they look. However, I am thinking of returning them. If you are a 1/2 size, order up. The fit seems to run small. Overall they just are not that comfortable and though they look good, they are not worth the price! Again, not worth the price.

Jan123 - This boot looks better in the picture. When they're on, they look a lot like Santa Claus Boots. I wear a size 9, so they made my feet look huge. I sent them back.

I bought these boots because my daughter had a pair and I loved the look. However, I am very disappointed in these boots considering the price I paid. I ordered them mid winter (January) and wore them only a few months until early spring. I am a librarian at a university medical school - certainly not rough on boots. The toe area is peeling. I took a photo of them to send to Zappos but did not take any action until now. Obviously I am not wearing then in the summer. Yesm they were warm and nice looking but the peeling in the toe area looks unsightly. This has never happened to me with any style of boot. Very surprised and disappointed it happened with an UGG boot. Wish I could add my photo to this review.

I agree - traction is absurdly bad. Dangerous boot except in dry conditions.

Back in 2004, I bought a pair of these and loved them. I live in Northern Minn. and they stood up to wet snow and temps way below freezing. They finally wore out and I was excited to get a new pair. I cannot express how disappointed I am with the new version. The shaft is less than half the loft and warmth of the old version, and the footbed and sole seem cheaply made compared to the 2004 pair. Maybe they've been outsourced to a cheap Chinese factory? I can't bear to spend the cost for this version.

I love this boot and have it in black so I ordered the brown. The upper and lower are different browns, but that was okay. However the foot sections of the boots were different browns - one was reddish the other was a true brown! I'm returning them and ordering another pair - fingers crossed!

When I got these boots I liked them at first, but after I've had them for 5 years they are way to tight and I can't even move my toes these the worst boots ever.

This is a very ugly boot. The lining is cheap, not fluffy or soft at all. The base looks like what a construction worker would wear to fix up a busted house. It makes my size 9 foot look like a 12. If you are looking for fashion AND function, I suggest you leave this boot in the Zappos warehouse and save your money and your time.

Disappointed... I am very disappointed in these boots. I purchased the short version in brown last year and they are softer, with more shearling inside. I was so impressed with them I ordered the tall version in black this year. Skimpy shearling lining and not soft. Even the leather isn't as soft. Back they go!
