Dr. Martens 8855 - I already new the quality of shoe that I would be getting when I ordered the Dr. Martens. But I never imagined the quality of service I would get from your company. Awesome Buy! THese are the MOST COMFORTABLE work boots I have ever worn in my entire life! I recommend buying these for any women looking for steel toed boots!

Steel toe shoe, tennis shoe comfort - Having worn safety shoes as part of my job for 14 years, I've tried a lot of brands. These are the most comfortable and supportive I've tried yet. They felt a wee bit heavier going from loafer style shoe to the boot, but this shoe makes up for it in comfort and ankle support. Not to mention zappos AWESOME customer service. I had these the next day! I'll never look elsewhere for my safety shoe needs, thanks Zappos!

The best Docs so far! I thought I had to break in these shoes, but actually felt like they've already been broken in. I thought I could play basketball in these shoes. They're the most comfortable pair of Docs I own which is important since I'm on my feet all day at work. They also look good out on the town. I still don't like the fact they're not made in England anymore.

These were like walking on air. For a steel toe boot these are pretty good.

Great boots!!! I am very happy with these boots....I had a pair of steel toe docs boots years ago and they weren't anywhere as comfortable as these are :). They are cloth padded on the inside and when its cold outside my toes aren't freezing from the steel toe either. I have to wear thick socks in them, but that's what I would have expected anyways. I have been wearing these for 3 weeks and are breaking in really well. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, and Zappos even "stepped up" to 2nd day air these boots to me during the holidays for no additional cost.

Best ever - These are the best boots ever. I stand on my feet for hours these shoes are the best in comfort and fit. Zappos give me the best customer service, and I do alot of shopping. Thank you Zappos.

Super comfortable - Dr. Marten's 8855 series the best shoes when it comes to comfort and durability.

Comfy for work boots - I've had my pair for about a year. After all this time, they're still very comfortable. This is my only pair of steel-toes, so I wear them everyday. My only comment is that I wish they come in half-sizes for women. -They're a bit big on me.

Rugged Boots! These Docs are by far the nicest boots I've ever owned... very nice looking and seem like they will last a long time. Very comfortable, too!

i have been wearing these boots for a few months now, and out of the three other brands of steel toe shoes i've worn in the past these are the most comfortable.

Good, but not slip-resistant - Very sturdy and comfortable for a steel toe, but these shoes are NOT slip-resistant. I work at a shipping company and stand/move around on concrete floors and have to walk up and down metal slides to wax them; I slip far too much on these surfaces, but it has to do with the type of sole, not the brand specifically. Overall a worthy workboot.

I have to wear EH, steel toe boots for work. These are the best I've found, though I insert an orthopedic inner sole to add extra arch support. Though a bit heavy, they're quite comfortable from the start.

I love Doc Marten's! I’ve always been a big fan of doc marten's. I work as a bartender and I am on my feet 8-10 hrs a day and I need a durable, comfortable shoe to wear and these totally fit the bill!

Doc Boots- The boots are really comfy. I wasn't sure about the steeled toe but I can't feel it. Size seems to be true but a little wider than normal. Unfortunately, in one boot I have a pressure point with the top set of "D" rings that I'm have to figure out how to work out. Other than that, the boots feel and fit great.

Extra comfortable for work boots - This shoe is very comfortable for the work boot class. The leather is a little funky looking, but from a distance, you cannot tell. Also, the shoe keeps the feet feeling hotter than most other work boots I have worn, but still not too bad, but it's not summer yet.

Cool enough work boot - Steel-toed boots are mandatory at my work, and since my employer paid for them--I selected the DM 8855 as it was the coolest boot available. Frankly, I think the style would be cooler looking if they got rid of the arch in the sole that delineates the ball from the heel. This is a fairly heavy boot, but not too bad. This boot is not designed for people who truly work hard in a hazardous environment; it is more a boot for the supervisor than the worker. The jury is still out on the durability factor: Mine looked pretty beaten-up after two weeks of wear and I'm not a laborer. I wear a women's 5.5-6 with a medium to wide width and got them in a UK size 4. They are absolutely HUGE. Even with Dr. Scholl's gel insoles and athletic socks they are still too big. Try them on before purchasing.

This is a very comfortable and light weight pair or boots. I did not like the yellow thread but I can live with it.

Somewhat disappointed - I bought these for work, and seeing that I've owned Docs before, I figured they would be pretty comfortable. I had to get a size down from what I normally wear (from a US 8 to a US 7), so they are slightly snug in the front. I do however have blisters on the back of my heels from rubbing, which I found surprising. All the others that I've owned never gave me blisters. I will have to work these boots in.

May not live up to it's name! I've been wearing this pair (8855 series) for aproximately 8 months. I'm a mechanic, so I'm usually wearing them 14 hours per day! I like the style of them. -Especially the tread design on the soles! However, the inside heel area, as well as the outside heel area, (the stitching at the stress area) is FAILING! In other words, falling apart! (I'm usually NOT HARD on shoes!) My shoes, usually last several years! So...They may not be as TOUGH for industrial use! So...buyer's BEWARE!

Good comfort, but durability not there - I purchased these boots about a month ago and thought they were the greatest thing. But now the boots are coming apart where the stitching holds the boot and sole together. Its not like I had worked these boots hard. I give them a 5 for comfort AND looks, but overall a 3 just due to the problems I had. I also had a problem with sizing, the store lady sold me an 8, it fit perfect in the store, and she assured me they would NOT stretch, well she was wrong... other than that... I'd say these are one of the best boots on the market.

I were surprised by model #8861 using cheap cutton board insole and the upmost pat only cover heel part of the insole. What does the designer think our working people can put feet over hard paper sole? The next step is moving to Asia, and I will never look at this brand name again!

I wasn't completely happy with these boots. They felt heavy, bulky on my feet. I constantly had blisters and had to put cushions inserts to tolerate the long hours I stood on concrete floors (about 8 to 11 hours).They look great and I received many compliments but I wouldn't recommend these to someone who works long hours on their feet.
