I own a lot of boots including cowboy styles and these are hands down the best boots I've ever owned. I have two pairs, black and the dark brown. The dark brown is great because scuff marks, you can rub away with your fingers. They are as comfortable as a pair of favorite slippers and required no break in time for me. These fit my regular size 8.5 perfectly. I've owned my black ones for 4 years and they are still going strong. I recently purchased the dark brown because these boots are too good to not duplicate. If they came in more colors, I'd probably buy those too!

This is my 2nd order of the Durango RD542. I had the wrong size the first time due to reading the reviews. I ordered a size down. Truly loved them,but had to return them. They just barely fit. I pried my foot in determined to keep them. (Poor Zappos, I was thinking, another return!) When my size was in,I found out they Are True to size. This is with a thin trouser sock on. They are so comfortable from the moment I stepped into them. Did a little dance! These boots are really soft and just enough heel. I usually can't wear a pointed toe boot, but in this style, no problem. Fits my foot like a cushiony glove! Finally have some western boots. With Zappos free shipping,both ways,it gives you the chance to try out the styles you like and take your time making your selection. In a store, you make a snap judgment, if you can get a salesperson to help you. Also, there is no store that has the selection and array of styles like Zappos.

My friend bought me these boots for my b-day after I had searched the web for them, they are great! I love the look, the comfort and also the cowgirl style. 1st boot went on like a dream but the 2nd would not budge, thought it was smaller than the 1st, but I read the insert and wiggled my foot in and now I have no problems putting them on! Love love love them! Want another pair!

Okay this is the first review I've ever written but I love these boots so much, I was willing to write. I have never worn a boot -- or shoe for that matter -- that really does fit like a glove. Please read the Durango insert that comes in the box. I initially thought I had size too small because I could barely pull them on and my right heel slipped up and down a little. The insert said these were both normal at first. It's true after about an our or two in these boots, I never wanted to take them off again! They conformed perfectly to my feet. These boots look awesome with skinny jeans/ denim leggings. But my favorite way to wear them is with dresses, skirts or certain pairs of shorts. They make my legs look great. I told my husband that these are the best shoes I have invested in. I'll be in them until it gets super-hot next summer!

So cute, I think I will look for in another color. Fit comfortably and true to size. I have real problem feet (2nd toe longer than first!) so to get a shoe that's cute and comfortable is always great! And as usual, love Zappos!

Wish so bad that these had fit. These have nice soft leather, great foot shape and heel height. However, I could barely get my foot into the shoe part; when I finally did, there was plenty of room and I don't think the next half size up would have just been larger in the foot fit, and same difficulty putting on and taking off. I certainly keep my UPS guy busy with my Zappos account, though!

Bought these for my wife and she loves them. She's never had western boots before but likes the look now. Sizes are accurate. Very comfortable. Bring out the cowgirl in your better half!

These boots are awesome. They are incredibly comfortable and fit perfectly. I ordered 7½, and I am normally 8 in boots, 7½ in heels. They look amazing. I like that they are a little lighter than the picture made them look. The only thing I cannot figure out is whether I need to waterproof them or not. The leather is so soft, which is awesome, but I have been terrified to wear out since I live in the Pacific Northwest. I bought waterproof stuff, but I am worried they will darken the lovely light brown. Any thoughts?

Love this boot! I put it on and wore it for a whole day...didn't really feel as if there was a "break-in" period. And it fits under slimmer cut jeans besides a "boot cut" jean. It runs large...so get a half size smaller.

This was the first "cowboy" boot I've bought in 30 years. Very comfortable! I use a long shoe horn to get them on easily. They are super well-made and stylish.

I really like these boots! I ordered a 9 and it was huge! So I exchanged for an 8.5 and it fits perfect! Great style and quality. I'm the type to spend less than $100 on shoes, but I just had to have these. They looks great with shorts, denim, leggings, etc. Love them!

Love these boots! I wanted a cowboy boot that would look cute with dresses and skirts and also go with skinny jeans tucked into them. The Durango fits the bill perfectly! I usually wear a narrow, but the medium width fits fine with medium-heavy weight socks. They are true to size in length for me and very comfortable. Extremely pleased overall!

Love these boots! This is my second pair. My other pair lasted 15 years. Very comfortable.

These are gorgeous boots. I ordered several, including a much pricier pair, and found these to fit and look the best. Zappos, as always, rocks!

This is a very comfortable boot right out of the box. Great for casual wear with jeans or skirts.

I love these boots! I feel like a child with her new cowboy boots and want to wear them all the time! I have a foot that was broken in several places and have a very hard time with closed in shoes fitting comfortably. It took right to these boots. They are cool-looking, but also very functional as a work boot and mud (dries) brushes right off, wet grass doesnt penetrate. I got a half size larger to accommodate socks but still can only wear thin socks, so advise for thick socks to go a size larger, especially if you have medium-wide feet.

I was a little worried, because the reviews I read said the boots ran big. I wear an 8 1/2, but my foot is very wide. They fit me very comfortably.

Love this boot! Reasonably priced and very comfortable. Leather is soft and supple. Wore them out to walk property shortly after I received them and didn't feel like they were new at all. Very good buy.

I am obsessed with mine! I am on my third pair and not at all because they wear easily. I lost my first and got another pair the next day, which my mother wore outside once to get her stuff out of the car and since we are the same size she stole mine because she liked them so much. These boots are seriously one of the few reasons I look forward to Winter so I can wear them with my jeans; they are amazingly comfortable and cute. I don't ever fill out these customer reviews, but I really am that in love with mine.

Lovely boots, great quality. Little bit tight on larger calves - I'm hoping they'll look a little more slouchy around the top once I'm no longer 8 months pregnant!
