I was looking for another pair of Birkenstock sandals like the old ones I had that were showing a little wear after three years of use and I couldn't find my old style anywhere so I decided to try these. The fit is perfect and because they are a thong, my foot does not slide forward to the edge. Another Birkenstock style that I purchased at the same time (Arizona) were the same size but I had to return them because my foot wasn't anchored and my toes kept hitting the front edge of the shoe when I walked. The arch support is quite good on this pair, just like my old thongs. I never thought I would be a thong-shoe lover because they used to bother my toes but I have not ever had that problem with BSs. Definitely recommend!

The toe post was very uncomfortable & these shoes had been worn….. I was disappointed because Birkenstock is expensive & this sale doesn’t represent them so Zappos you better shape up or get kicked to the curb!

Why can’t the toe piece be soft and comfortable as opposed to a hard and punishing?

I first ordered in size 38, which is usually my size (7.5), and they were too big. Ordered a 37, which fit better. I really wanted to love them, but they were painful to wear, especially the ridge under my big toe. :(

I am a size 9 and the 39 fit. I find I need to break them in and can only wear them for several hours at a time because it hurts my arch. I have a high arch and need arch support so it could be the reason for the break in period. I have had these sandals in the past and found once they were broken in and molded to my feet, they were one of my favorite sandals. I love how they can be casual or dressed up because of the patent.

I have worn Birkenstocks for many years. They are high quality and always in style. I purchased this pair to replace an exact pair I wore for several years. I always get complements on the style and color.

I wear a size 7 and the Gizeh Sz 37 (6-6.5) fits me. I did have a problem with the right shoe, however. It caused some pain where the thong came between the toes. The left shoe felt just fine so I plan on going to a store and try on more of this style to see if it's the shoe or my foot. I hope it was that particular pair of shoes - I loved the style and the onyx color!

Love these Birkenstock’s! Perfect fit and no breaking in. So comfortable ?

The right shoe seems ok, but the left shoe feels smaller and my foot seems to fit at an awkward angle. I am hoping that a size 40 narrow will work better. Strange since I have been wearing this style in size 39 narrow for quite a few years and love the feel.

First time buying this brand, and love them. True to size. Really comfy and look great on.

True to size- moderately comfortable once you break them in.

I love these sandals they are super comfortable and supportive and all the while stylish. It’s a “ win win”!

The fit is just fine but the toe tong/ strip it’s uncomfortable. This is something that I’m going to have to deal with. Hopefully it will soften up soon

Size 39 fits an 8.5 perfectly. Shoes are soooo comfortable. Takes a few hours for them to conform to my foot, then I can wear them all day without fatigue.

The two pairs I bought in 2015 are great. Now, 7 years later, the strap across the instep is being cut much longer. If I punch holes to buckle the instep-strap to fit, the T-strap would be pulled off center. This is frustrating because I want two more pairs! Help!?!

Fit and size were right on! Great for dressier occasions as well as with shorts and jeans.
