Continues to live up to reputation - As far as Birks go, these are pretty stylish. The fit is good and the support is nice. The leather between the toes is thick and uncomfortable, but not unbearable. I went from cheap flip-flops to these and immediately noticed less pain in my knees and back. My heels hurt for a few days because the sole is so hard, but it's worth it for the support. I’ll buy these again. Maybe in the other color next time. I would like them in a softer leather.

Very comfortable, nice color. I'm quite pleased with the shoe as I was looking for an attractive sandal with good support.

I could walk miles and miles in these shoes. This is my second pair of Gizahs. Fantastic. I normally wear a size 9 (40), but always purchase 39 in Birks.

Addicted to Birks - Ordered yesterday afternoon and got them today. Amazing service! I got the red patent. They are soo pretty. I painted my toe nails in a matching red. Oh yeah, pretty feet. Happy feet. Happy customer. Love you, Zappos!

Gizehs are great! Got a size smaller than my usual and in regular width after returning one size up at narrow width. These fit wonderfully. My only complaint is that the top flaps of the thongs only clear my toes by a 1/2 - 3/4 inch. I can live with this, as the shoe is still really cute on. As always, Zappos return and shipping policies are very generous - both times I ordered this shoe I was upgraded to next-day shipping, when it didn't have to be. Thanks so much!

Comfy - I love these! I usually hate things between my toes but these are awesome. I wore them around the house before I decided to keep them but after my trial run (before I went to bed) I had to keep them. My feet kill me after a long day at work and I look forward to changing into them as I am home almost as much as I look forward to going home!

Love them! I usually wear a 7 or 7 1/2, but found I needed a 37 not a 38 in these shoes (I can't remember if that's typical of Birks). Fit perfectly, very comfy, and cute. More substantial than a strappy sandal, but not as caveman-ish as other Birks. One of the few slides that don't hurt my back. I'm very happy.

Love! Got these today, less than 24 hours after ordering, as is wonderfully usual with Zappos! Got golden brown, regular width, 39. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the color is really pretty! Makes them slightly dressier and will probably match with more since they are definitely more metallic than brown. Super comfortable right out of the box – will not need as much break in as my other Birks. The underside of the strap is very soft. I have bad feet but these feel so great! Good arch support and the strap makes them feel very secure. Yay! (I'm usually a 9 in American shoes, but always a 39 in Birks, so I labeled these as larger than marked.)

Great - I love these shoes. They fit my narrow feet well, give support to the foot and are great for walking.

Love this sandal! Love Birkenstocks. Love this sandal, it is cute and oooh so comfortable, very sturdy, and well made. Break in was a little rough as I don’t normally wear a thong sandal, but it was not unbearable. Love this sandal and I LOVE ZAPPOS. Fantastic service. Will definitely shop more with Zappos.

Really comfortable shoe - I was a little ambivalent about buying Birkenstocks, but these are great. I just got them today and have been wearing them all day. They just started hurting my arch, but I think I'll get used to it. The golden brown color is really nice and shimmery. They are kind of bulky, but worth it for how comfortable they are. I am usually a 7 1/2, sometimes an 8 and I got the 38 with a regular width and it fits perfectly.

Not extremely comfortable - They are very cute, but not very comfortable.

Great shoes! I love these Birks more than my previous pair. I ordered regular width, even though I have a narrow foot. The width is perfect and they look great with skirts, shorts, jeans, etc. And of course Zappos got them to me straight away!

Great Product But Break In Can Be Tough - This is a wonderful sandal. If you get the right color / finish, the sandal is actually very sheik. It surprises many to hear that these are Birks. I have foot problems and ended up picking this style over the Relax 100 and the Piazza. I've had no problems with the toe spacer. I did develop blisters on the soles of my feet during the break in period, which I suppose is par for the course. Otherwise, this is a great, great buy. Blisters and all, I'm loving them and still recommending them.

Love them - These are great sandals, my second pair in this style. I wear narrow and they are a true narrow fit. Many compliments!

Sizing - I ordered these shoes for a friend as a gift. I’ve had my own Gizeh pair for eons. Her shoe size is a 7, so I purchased a 38 for her... TOO big. Kept them for me (I wear an 8, but the 38s fit me) and ordered 37s for her. She kept the 37s, but they're still a little big. I was a little disappointed that the shoe sizes were so inaccurate...

Great sandals. I always thought of Birkenstocks as hippy shoes, but not anymore. These are stylish and comfortable. They're not too trendy so I can see me having them for a long time. They took awhile to break in, mainly because the little toe thong piece is a bit hard. After wearing them a few times for shorter stints I'm now able to wear them all day. Definitely worth the break-in period! I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 and ordered the 39 which fit perfectly. I have a normal width foot and ordered the regular Birkenstock width, which was also perfect.

Great Shoe, Great Service! I'm about to head off to Spain to study abroad and needed a great walking shoe, but also one that I could dress up or down, and that looked somewhat girly. This was a great choice! I've never owned a pair of Birkenstocks before, but I love them already. The break-in period is not as bad as the other reviews make it seem...I wore them around the house for 3 days and I'm good to go (it could be because I'm 20 years old, though...). And the thong sandal hasn't bothered my feet at all, and it probably won't bother yours if you're used to wearing flip flops. The golden brown color is really cool. The online picture doesn't do it justice...it's metallic and shimmery looking, a great feminine-looking shoe. I was turned off to the Arizona style, etc. because they seem manly, and this shoe is not at ALL manly...just comfy and sturdy. I can tell it will last forever, and take me through Europe!

Great arch support! I have terrible arches and can't wear regular flip-flops or sandals. These are my first Birkenstocks and I like that they are comfortable and cute. They do run a size large, but Zappos had great service and sent me a smaller size within two days of my call.

Perfect Sandal - I'm on my second pair of Gizeh’s and I wear them constantly (at work & home). My first pair was leather and took a good walk and a blister to break in. My second is made from BirkoFlor (in Mocha) and took no time to break in--so comfy out of the box! I'm so happy with this sandal and get many compliments. :)

I love Zappos - These sandals are very comfy and cute. Not too granola for me. I was very happily surprised when Zappos emailed my order confirmation and said I would receive my shoes by overnight delivery! Very good customer service, Zappos!

I bought the Gizeh last year in a 36R silver and have been wearing them steadily... BUT... I'm a 6.5WW and am noticing that the Gizeh thongs don't quite accommodate my width. Who would have thunk it?? The cork on the sides is splaying out and my foot could use a quarter inch or so on the sides, sigh. Still, these are comfortable and very flattering and I wear them a lot, considering that my foot hangs completely over 99.9% of my other thong sandals. The Birkenstock Cozumel or Papillo Tabora is cute and hits right where my duck foot meets the footbed but I still wear the Gizeh a lot for style. Papillo footbed seems a bit shorter.
