Liked these but my toes are too long and hit the top which was uncomfortable. I'll try larger size

Two things...this is my first pair of Birkenstocks, so I wasn't sure what size to order, or what exactly the fit would be like. I found that the sizing ran large. I normally wear a size 7.5 which translates to a size 38 here, I had to exchange for a size 37 due to the way the sole are constructed with the support. The size 37 fit great! I have never wore shoes with cork soles...this will take some getting used to for those of you like me. They are very hard, and after the first day of wear the bottoms of my feet were bruised. However I know once they are broken in they will be great.

I really love the look of this sandal. It's Birkenstock so you know it's comfortable foot bed is on point. With the particular style, however, the plastic thong in between my toes is a tad uncomfortable. I am hoping that over time and as I break these in, it will get better. Let's see. But other than that, the color and style is exactly what I expect from Birkenstock.

My second pair - love that they mold to your foot. They last & get more comfortable with time.

I wear a size 7 and first ordered the corresponding number size that went with 7-7.5 and they were too big. A couple years later I went back and ordered the 6-6.5 and the fit is perfect! I have serious trouble with PF and foot pain in general so I'm looking for a shoe that will be kind to my feet. I also knew there would be a break in period. I've been wearing them around the house like slippers for several weeks now and they're getting there. Disneyland is three days from now so the ultimate test will be park days! Super cute and stylish!

I love the look of these sandals and get many compliments every time I wear them. I am hoping they will get more comfortable the more I wear them, at least everyone tells me they will. I have worn them for one summer season so far. They are slowly breaking in, but are still quite tough. I'm hoping they become softer and conform to my food more the longer I wear them. They are also fairly heavy. Despite all that, they are still a comfortable shoe and I do a fair amount of walking in them.

i originally ordered 39 because my shoes are 39, but i needed a 38 and they're perfect and so comfortable.

Yeah. I really wanted to love these. I don't understand Birkenstock sizing. I'm normally a size 6 in every shoe known to man. I got these in a size 35 and my heel does not cup into the heel part if my toes are sitting where they should be with the ridge in the sole. So, it's either my heel is in the right place and my toes hurt from the ridge underneath them not positioned right, or my toes are in the right place and my heel is not where it's supposed to be, which just makes these SO not comfortable. I thought, hey, maybe I'll order a kid's size 34! Nope. My heel fit totally perfectly where it's supposed to, and I could feel how these would be super comfortable if they were exactly the right size, but apparently the kid's shoes only come in narrow, so my pinky toes were about to fall off the shoe. I almost could make them work, but that kind of seems silly when I could literally go to any other brand and have a 6 fit the normal way a 6 should fit. This whole experience has made me self conscious about my toes: are they unusually stubby? Are they not normal? What's wrong with my foot that it won't fit in a Birkenstock?! Whatever. At least Zappos is awesome.

I have a wide foot with a high arch, and these are very comfortable. The finish is cute enough for a casual weekend or even a relaxed day at the office.

Bought them to have a "nice" casual sandal and am not disappointed. For those days when I want more than just a rubber flip flop, these are perfect. Was worried that the antique white would be too white, but they're the perfect color.

Birkenstocks are simply the best. They're so comfortable and will last through anything. Don't be hesitant to buy these- they're functional, practical, and comfortable (after you BREAK THEM IN, of course), but they're also so cute too! Mine had a subtle shimmer to the white, which I loved. They really go with anything- gorgeous sundresses, or a plain T-shirt. They're 100% worth it for the comfort alone. They're of the highest quality and I love them! These were a great addition to my Birkenstocks collection.

I ordered the silver, and they are adorable, and comfortable. The plastic toe piece does hurt sometimes, but I always have an issue with plastic toe pieces, even in regular flip flops. So, while I can walk 50 miles in regular 2 strap Birks, these are for more regular pursuits. At least for me.

Takes a little bit of time to break them in but after that, they're super comfortable. The plastic in between your toes takes a little time to get used to. Would still highly recommend them.

I have always worn the Florida style of Birkenstock so wanted a change. Not a fan of the Arizona so decided to try the Gizeh, even while knowing I don't LOVE thong sandals, ie. the feeling of the post between my toes. All that being said and reading another reviewer's post about the discomfort, I still went for them. Upon first wearing, I did find them to rub in between my toes, but I realized tightening the strap across my upper foot held my foot in place on the shoe bed and subsequent wearings were MUCH more comfortable. I actually like them very much now and enjoy having the option for a different look with certain outfits. Glad I stuck with them!

Nice style. Took a little while to break in and become comfortable.

Due to a foot injury I purchased these Birks which turned to be the most comfortable shoes I have. Unfortunately the cork began to tear apart in the same area on both shoes. I still have a couple of pairs from 15 plus years ago that did not have the same problem. I exchanged these and purchased a cork protection product on ebay that I have applied to the new pair.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I am a consistent size 7 but the 38 was too big. The 37 fits perfectly. The only negative so far is the break in period since the shoe is very hard compared to other sandals right out of the box. However, the overall support is great and the black patent is very stylish!

The Gizeh are the most stylish Birkenstocks, and they are so comfortable. Since they are cork sandals, there isn't any cushioning, but these sandals are surprisingly comfortable. They don't get dirty easily if you take care of them. I love that the toe area is roomy and not narrow like most sandals! True to size & perfect width.

I really wanted to be a Birkie. I have many friends who wear them and swear by them. So when the reviews said give them a few times to break them in - I tried. I wore them around the house hoping there would be a magic moment. Nope. My feet yelped a little whenever I put them on. Then I would put my Fit Flops on and they would sigh in relief. Guess I'm not gonna be a Birkie kind of girl.

I wear an 8 in most shoes but sometimes an 8 1/2 in some styles. I ordered a 39 and it fits okay. I might be one of those that is inbetween sizes. I know the 38 is too small and the 40 too big but the 39 isn't a perfect fit. My two middle toes from the small toe seem to touch the edge which will take some getting used to...The insole will feel hot until you break the shoes in but other than that they will be comfortable, especially since you can adjust the buckles to your liking. The silver is not a bright silver but a bit more on the matte side. And one more thing, Zappos is one of the few retailers that will ship for free which was a big plus!

I love my new Birkenstocks! So comfortable, easy to slip on and love the contour fitting my feet perfectly.
