These are very poor quality compared to the pair of Vans that I purchased on the same order. They are very light and flimsy and almost one inch longer than the same size 10 Vans. They looked like clown shoes! Maybe that is the style.

While these shoes are nice looking and comfortable enough with arches, they started falling apart within two weeks. I have owned them for about a month now, and the rubber is separated from the canvas and the eyes for the shoelaces are starting to fall out. Zappos has been extremely helpful about this, however--they issued me a refund but let me keep the shoes.

First pair of shoes I got had a bunch of cat hair them. Zappos was nice enough to quickly send another pair and apologized making sure the next pair would be perfect. The next pair came with a bunch of black scuff marks on the rubber toes. I was able to clean them out with wet wipes so i didn't return them. It definitely kills the "getting new shoes" experience when you obviously get worn shoes. All in all apologies came but there definitely seems to be a breakdown in quality control in the returns processing department.

I'm disappointed in these. I've been wearing them for about 5 months and was quite happy. I happen to like sneakers with little support so I found them comfortable, and the soles had been holding up to all the walking I do. But last week the front quarter of one sole completely split from the top half of the shoe so that I could reach in and touch my toes. I glued them but it didn't hold...going to have to try a different glue. Just seems like they're poorly made if they fall apart like this so soon. I didn't buy these from Zappos so I'm not sure if they would do anything. The store I bought them from wouldn't. There, now I feel better.

My kids are really hard on shoes...but these have already started to fall apart. After only 3 weeks. Uuugghhh!

The sizes of these are terrible. Is it that hard to make them the proper size? I ordered a size 13, my normal size, it was a boat on my foot. There is no 12.5, so I then ordered a 12. I wore them one day, and my feet hurt. Unfortunately I don't have the box and I wore them once otherwise they would be promptly shipped back. Unhappy with the sizing. I suppose if you can find one that fits you, they do look cool.

I was a little disappointed that one sneaker was lighter than the other, as if it had been in a shop window & was faded by the sun. I would have returned them but there wasn't any kind of order form or return instructions included with my purchase. This will probably be my last purchase from Zappos.

I have love the Chuck Taylor's since as far back as I can remember. Unfortunately, I purchased the All Star Core Ox's from Zappos and after wearing 3 times, the fabric on the heel part has already torn apart. Poor material used to manufacture; should not be breaking apart after wearing 3 times. Will not buy another pair after these. Very disappointed with this item!

The shoes are very cute, but are not comfortable. There is minimal padding, no arch support and the rivets on the arch side scratched my foot.

Wondering if they changed the design of this shoe... I have owned quite a few pairs of Converse over the years (but not in the last 10 years or so) and I don't remember them being this narrow. They were always a little bit on the narrow side but after a couple of wearings they would adjust to my foot, these new ones were so narrow in the toe box that my last 2 toes were completely squished together. The shoe itself looks to almost be a pointed toe. I would never be able to break these ones in! The kids size that I ordered for my daughter has a more rounded toe, I wish they would do that for the adults too.

Size 14s wore out too fast - I love these shoes and I’ll likely purchase them again sometime in the future. However, for some reason the shoes wore out in the weirdest places and I’ve only had them 3 months. The side of the shoe (where the foot bone protrudes) has a hole wearing in it. The black stripe on the bottom has come off on one of my shoes. AND I ONLY WEAR THESE INDOORS AT WORK. Super weak.

Looks aren't everything - Reviews are not right on. I take a women's 7-1/2 or 8, depending on the shoe. I ordered this shoe in a man's 6/women's 8 and it is HUGE! Maybe the shoe is marked incorrectly, but even with a Spenco insert (from Zappos!) the shoe will not fit, it flops around when I walk. Also there is NO arch support.

The size was way off the mark -- much, much too large.

The new Chucks Suck - I have bought Chuck Taylors since I was 12. They have been my athletic shoe of choice. The new manufacturer of C.T. all stars is doing a horrible job, and if you have not bought the new Chucks, consider trying them on in a store instead of buying them online becuase you might find that they are ill-fitting and badly made, as did I, and regret your purchase.

Converse All Star - I didn't keep the box or return slip. Within two weeks, the little metal rings snapped off the inner side of my daughter's shoes, and I can't fix them. I figured a return was impossible because she wore them for a couple of weeks. The sad part is they were like $38.00!

MY LOVE IS LIKE WHOA! I love the shoes, incredibly comftorable, it feels like you aren't wearing any shoes at all. Long lasting, they are a good price and are comfy, I think that people who don't think the shoes are comfy don't have the right shaped foot, and whos fault is that? So whether you are a prep, a punk rocker, or a nobody these shoes are for you!

So my review is no reflection of Converse. My issue was several other things. First, I ordered the color navy and received black in a box marked navy. The shoes arrived in a mangled box and the shoes were covered in cat or dog hair. The shoes must have been worn because the toe area was dirty and the shoes were double knotted. Just receiving the wrong color warrants the return, but very disappointed with the condition of the “New” shoes I paid for.

The material was stiff. The label did not identify the material from which the upper was made. It just said "TEXTILE." It looked and felt like polyester, both the upper and the lining. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Chuck Taylors used to have cotton canvas uppers. I bought these as a gift for my partner. He hated them, and he is normally a huge Chuck Taylor shoe fan.

I ordered the Allstars by Zappos sent me the 70 The 70 is Different shoe, much heavier, stiff, off white color and much longer than the lighter all star

zappos sent me used, scuffed shoes. i guess this should not be surprising, as amazon (which owns zappos) constantly tries to rip me off by sending used items after i order used items. disgusting.

These were so large that I can't truly assess whether they'll even work for me. I normally wear 8.5 mens, or 9.5 women's. Converse puts their men and women's sizes two whole sizes apart, so there was no choice that matched both options. I tried the 8.5 men's and found it to be a full size too large, possibly even more. I just sent in an exchange for a 9.5 women's, which they say is a 7.5 mens (the former of which should fit and the latter of which should be a size too small but apparently magically won't be). The Overall/comfort star choice is because this sizing challenge is ridiculous and left me unable to assess the shoe overall. If the next pair does fit, I'll change it to suit, but I'll still be peeved.

I have a pair that I got from Kohls that have padding at the heal and tongue. This pair has NO padding. Uncomfortable and feel cheap. Returned

My daughter loves converse but they are poorly made lately and rip easily—-shameful for the price. I am trying to talk her into a different brand.
