Converse All Star "Chuck Taylors"- I bought the all black version for my son for Christmas. They were a huge hit! He loves the look of the shoes, he's in a heavy metal band so go figure, and other than their being a little light on the cushioning has found them to be extremely comfortable.

After searching all over for this sneaker I found Zappos. I placed my order at 10:30pm and was amazed that at 11:00am the very next day it was at my door. Also it is great to have return shipping if needed. Great service!!

I ordered this as a gift. I was worried about the size but took the advice of Zappos and other reviewers and ordered smaller size. The half size smaller was not available so I ordered 1 full size smaller. It worked just fine. I ordered at night and the shoes were here the next day. Again I am amazed at the service provided by Zappos!

Comfortable from the first time I put them on. Be careful, though, the patent coating comes off- the second time I wore them, I accidentally scraped the toe of the shoe against the curb, and it chipped the patent coating. Still trying to figure out how to get that fixed. Otherwise, a great shoe and I highly recommend them!

I had these shoes for a while and hardly ever wore them because the elastic band was uncomfortable like other reviewers expressed. One day I just went ahead and cut the elastic band off. They are totally comfortable now and they stay on my feet just fine without it.

Classic and fantastic. They break in very nicely. I wear them everywhere. Some advice: according to the Converse website, women should pick shoes a full size smaller than their usual size. I tend to wear 5s in pumps and 6s in sneakers/boots. I found that even though the shoe is a sneaker, I had to go with a 5. The 6 was much too large. Keep that in mind when purchasing and you should be set.

This makes my 6th pair of Chucks! And as usual they are great! My younger co-workers think they are so kool! My foot is a little wide in the toe area, but after you break them in, they're good. Will certainly keep getting more! I use good insoles because I work on my feet 8 hours a day.

She gave me these shoes for free because the different Converse that I got before got all worn out and faded with holes in just a month and a half of when they arrived. And she upgraded the shipping too. And also, I've had numerous complements from people at school with these shoes, from friends and even people I've never talked to. These shoes especially work great in marching band for roll stepping, better than any other tennis shoe I've ever worn. So thanks again, and I WILL be back next time.

These are the best shoes of all time - These are awesome shoes. They are classics and always will be. I wear them all the time. Everyone should get a pair.

Awesome retro kicks - I had to go through a couple of sizes before I found the right one, but now that I have they fit awesome and look so cool. I put in some inserts to give my feet some supports and wear them everywhere.

The shoes look great. They are a little narrow but otherwise fit decent with no socks. I have a very wide foot with a high instep.

Great Deal all around - I love my "Chucks" I wear them all of the time; they are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. Their vintage classic styling makes them good for everyday and for weddings and church services too. Zappos is a great online store my "Chucks" were at my door the very next day!!

Chuck Taylor Converse Review - Bought the shoe for the classic look. You can wear them with anything, I'm in a band and wear them on stage when I don't wear boots. I took the insoles from some of my Asics running shoes and put them in and they are much more comfortable.

I read a few reviews and they all seemed to suggest I order a half size down. Well, I listened and they were all right. I normally wear a 12 and I order an 11.5 and it fits perfect.

These shoes are rad! good for skateboarding, if you don’t wanna pay top dollar for "top of the line, high quality, in style, bulky, name brand" shoes that look like space boots on your feet. Only problem for most people (not me), it has no padding. And little arch support (which is why some dr. made Scholl’s). Good shoes for the price, and free, fast shipping.

Holy crap! Zappos is awesome! First of all: I ordered my shoes at 10pm on Tuesday night. By 3am Wednesday morning, my shoes arrived in Chicago where I live, and when the post office opened at 1pm I found them tucked neatly inside my mailbox. I barely had enough time to process the fact that I ordered new shoes before they were actually on my feet! I’m wearing them right now and I couldn’t be happier with Zappos' incredible service! Not only is shipping free, but FAST! Secondly, the shoe itself is fantastic. I’ve worn Converse my whole life so I always know what to expect. For the customer who has never worn them, though, make sure you order them true to size and wear socks for the first week you break them in. These shoes are an all-American classic and they look great on anybody.

You advised getting a smaller size and you were correct. Shoe fits fine.

Punk, rock, to goth, to emo. Well Converse has been part of the rock scene since the 60's. And for me it’s more emo/pop punk/post Goth than anything. Just depends what you wear with them. I wear skinny blue jeans, black shirt, spike, stud cuffs w/ chain wallet and monochrome Cons because they kinda look like Goth boots.

Solid - I found that ordering true-to-size is best - ordering down a size gets the length right, but not the width (and my feet are an average shape). Very nice shoes. To wear them around all day, at least use a Dr. Scholl's insole though.
