These are the most timeless pieces of footwear imaginable. People who like them will continue to buy them in different styles and colors, while people who don't will inevitably be called back to the mothership in time for dinner. These have no arch support, minimal cushioning and offer as much ankle support as frayed socks offer. I want to be buried in these sneakers.

These are a classic. They are great for spring but don't expect them to keep your feet warm in the winter. I used to think Converse ran really big but for some reason in this particular shoe I go up one size. I'm a 6 but always need these in a 7.

Classic Chucks. Not the most support nor comfort but they are classic!

Shoes look awesome, daughter was very happy with style. She did complain that one of her toes was getting rubbed after a long walk. Great style, ok comfort.

Purchased for my husband to use for power lifting. He was looking for a shoe that had a flat sole for support. His research lead him to this shoe/this brand. He is not disappointed with the purchase! He feels stable when lifting and thinks the black on black of the shoe looks good while also not showing dirt. Only thing was the shoe did run a little large. He opted to keep the size we ordered and has had no problems.

Bought them for a Christmas gift.

Always a favorite with my teen daughters. I just wish they had more arch support or removable insoles.

Always a great look, but they have never been very comfortable. I recommend going up a size and adding an insert if you need arch support.

I bought these for my wife but, the sizing was a little tricky. I'm sure anyone who has worn chucks knows the deal but, for the 1st time buyer it can be difficult. I know how you wear your shoes can vary but I will tell you a little about her sizing. She wears and 8.5 in Nike with a thumb width of room in the front and she settled on the 7.5 in the chucks and the fit was perfect. Just a simple classic that doesnt go out of style.

A classic. Fits well, fairly comfortable, and very stylish.

I got the all black version of these, and they look great with my mainly black wardrobe. They're a little bit of a pain to get on or off quickly, but that's to be expected. I mainly wear them for days I won't be walking a ton, as they don't have much support. They've also given me a blister on one of my pinkie toes when I went for a longer (4+ mile) walk in them. I usually get converse in a women's 9.5 (like I did these) but I think I'd go half a size up if I were to buy them again.

I love the look of these - but they are BIG. I'm generally a 9 in sneakers and I'm re-ordering in a size 7. They also make my foot look a little on the big side... But they're still cute and stylish.

My wife has been a chucks wearer since '96, she loves em! They last forever, and are a style that will never fade. It is the reason it is tough to find them on sale, everyone wants them regardless of price! They are comfy, and they look great with a wide variety of attire.

Great shoes. Make sure you get a 1/2 size smaller than regular shoes. These puppies come in longer than you think! Excellent comfort and a classic. Should be a staple for every wardrobe.

Cool shoes but run big! Tried a 9 too big, 8.5 still a bit loose but exchanges allowed only once so kept them and they are comfy!

These kicks look cool (in a retro way) but i wear them for one reason only: they're compatible with my custom-made orthotics. The flat-as-a-board insoles make the perfect base for them. Minus the orthotics, i wouldn't last 15 minutes in these..virtually no arch support. I got them a half-size larger than normal, which seems about perfect.

I bought these shoes for my daughter to replace her previous pair. Her old ones (exact same) lasted several months August to March, she wore them out before outgrowing them and I expected the same for these. We've had them just over a month, and while there is definite wear on the bottom, the heel itself is now coming apart from the shoe. This is a manufacturer defect, not a wear and tear defect. I will not be buying Converse again.

I have been wearing Chuck Taylors for many years. When the bottoms wore through, usually about one or two summers, they went to the dump and I got some new. Lately (last two pairs) the glue gives out and the sole separates from the body of the shoe. Is this the difference between the differently priced units? I like the look. Are the more expensive units better constructed and will they last longer - as in the old days when the sole wore through before they fell apart?

Exactly as expected. Seriously true to size. My foot is wide so I usually have to go at least a half size up. You don't have to. These are still true old skool so the support is the same, which is pretty non-existent. They are a bit bolder than the picture, but we bought them for a breast cancer support event and they are perfect (NOT to walk in). Super funky too! Keeping them!

This pair of Converse have great style. However, if my teen walks on them all day long they do not offer as much support and bother on the ankle area because of the high boogie style and offer no arch support.

My daughter loves these shoes! They are not the most supportive, but she wears arch supports and says they are comfortable.

Really like the shoes -- good cusion but no arch support so will use an insole. Zappos has great customer service, love them!

Most reviews said these ran half a size small. I ordered a 6½ factoring this in, and they are perfect without socks. I recommend ordering your true size if you plan on wearing them with socks.
