The black plastic film surface on these shoes comes right off as soon as it gets scuffed a little and cracks where the material flexes. The sole is also coming off. These are by far the worst shoes i have ever bought as far ad durability is concerned.

The sides of the shoe are too high and wide so that it hits the bottom of my ankles when I walk. I didn't notice this much when I first bought them, but they caused blisters at first, and are still uncomfortable after wearing them for 2 weeks. The size is okay for the length and width of my foot (10.5 D), but the wide opening of the shoe has my foot slopping around in them when I walk and the rubbing on my ankles is annoying. Not recommended.

I bought this shoe for work (airline pilot) from the airport friendly choices. I purchased them in April 2010. I am extremely disappointed. First: The shoe doesn't "break in". They remained exactly the same as the first day I put them on...tolerable discomfort. I kept them because even my favorite and most comfortable shoes were "tolerated" during a break-in period and I expected the same. Second: The real problem is the "genuine leather" upper. The black finish is a thin, latex like material that blistered and peeled away at a minor scuff. Underneath is a grey/white material obviously not the shoe leather I am familiar with. The scuffs will not polish out with shoe polish (Kiwi). The blister edges just keep peeling more and more, exposing more and more of the the "genuine leather" material (very frustrating). At this point I have two dime size areas on the shoe toe. They look terrible. Steer clear of this shoe. This issue does not reflect on Zappos. My wife and I both shop here and will continue to do so.

Cheap for a reason - I got these shoes for my husband and within about 3 weeks, we started to notice that there were spots on his shoes that looked like scuff marks. They were located in areas that would be hard to scuff up the shoe. It was like the material was rubbed off in these areas with something rough. Then, we noticed that the shoe was coming apart from the sole of the shoe. I will never again get this brand nor recommend them to anyone. Sometimes it is worth spending the extra money.

Deer Stags Times - This shoe appears to be solid. However, the rubber sole w/the cut out and an insert which has the appearance of being high tech - are simply complicated - and are useless. This shoe provides no support - and if you have any foot problems - this shoe will make things worse.

Changed design means painful shoe - I own an earlier version of these shoes and they were some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The new version drops the cushioning around the top so they dig into achilles and ankles. They've also changed the uppers so that they now dig into the top of my foot. Very, very disappointed.

Item was a rip off - This shoe was overall comfortable. I am a TSA airport screener and it alarmed on the MAG - Xray showed metal in it. Not airport safe. Within 2 months both shoes leather was bubbling off. I work indoors and not exposed to the elements so I have no clue how this could happen. 3 Months after buying the shoe I have to get another shoe. Worst shoe I ever brought.

Super comfortable.

Usually Ibdon't trust online site to buy shoes, after I read about zappos in a book I've decided to give them a try. It was a good surprise for me, the packaging was good and the shoes are true to size. Zappos got a new customer.

I love the fit and feel of these shoes. They are comfortable to wear all day standing on concrete and other hard surfaces. I look forward to wearing these to work and looking professional.

My right foot is a little wider than my left. A quick trip to my local shoe maker and he gave it a little stretch.

Shoe is what I like but need size 101/2. Want to order another one

My husband needed a black dress shoe when he wears his suits, which is mainly funerals and weddings. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, and these work well. I don’t think they would be super comfortable for everyday wear, but for what he needs them for, they’re great.
