I bought this shoe for my son who has large feet. He had worn the same shoe for a number of years in a size 15, but wanted a slightly smaller size when we replaced the original. The length of a 14 was better for him, but the shoe tends to be too wide at the heel. The top of the heel is also stiff and it rubbed a blister on his foot. Because he is so hard to fit, we will keep the shoes, hoping they will lose some of the stiffness when they are "broken in." We have always been pleased with Zappos service and we will definitely shop with Zappos again!

Decent shoe. According to the Zappos size chart on the website I wear a size 10, but I ended up needing to order a size 9. It took some time and frustration to get the right size for this and you are only able to do one exchange with ease. If you need to exchange more than once it is a hassle, so get the size right.

Great shoes very comfortable and TSA approved. I work in the travel industry and these are great for going through security.

Very comfortable padding in the sole of the shoe. The brown style is more burgundy than brown. The biggest issue with the shoe is the top edge of the inside of the shoe digs into my heel. It makes it very uncomfortable to wear for a long period of time, but I've padded that part to alleviate the issue for the most part.

These shoes made my Achilles raw for a week, but now are quite comfortable.

The pair of Deer Stags that I have just received is the best fitting of the three pairs I have purchased. I am very satisfied.

This is a follow-up to my previous review. I have had these for a bit of time and I can now add a bit more about the wear of the shoes. The shoes hold up pretty well and keeps their comfort after the break-in period. The leather is stiff and is of acceptable quality, though not the highest quality or best feel. The rubber on the sole of the shoe seems to wear oddly. I think it is not non-marking rubber. I can now say I will likely buy another pair of these when these are worn out.

These shoes are very comfortable. The leather is very still but of fair quality. The Rockport black shoes I had before these were not as comfortable, but the leather was softer or possibly of better quality. These ran about 1/2 to 1 size large. I normally wear a size 15 and a size 14 fit me properly. I've had these for a few weeks now and I am satisfied with my purchase. I am waiting to see if these will hold up use use. I'll try to update the review either way for other people purchasing this shoe. My impression of these shoes so far is they are a great value, but not the best shoe you can buy.

These are perfect for dressy occasions.

These shoes are not too shabby. I needed a comfortable pair that i could stand in for long periods of time and still look classy. I ordered these and had them shipped to the job site. I took them out of the box, put them on my feet and at the end of the extremely long day my feet weren't dead. They hurt after standing and walking in them for over 12 hours but they weren't dead.

Finding EEE wide shoes of reasonable quality for my husband is difficult, but these shoes seem quite good. The style is a bit more "senior" than my husband wanted, but he reports that they are comfortable and they are wearing well. The brown veers toward cordovan.

Great shoe for the money! Nice cushioned interior that really hugs the foot. As a detective, these are great shoes for walking around crime scenes, and I don't mind getting them a little dirty. They seem like they will clean up nicely, and have nice, soft leather. The soles are sturdy and cushioned as well.

Nice Casuals - I use 9½ 3E, and compared to Propet (which for me require a ½ size larger) my Deer Stags Times are true to size. They pamper my feet in comfort with good arch support and look good with their smooth, polished, black leather. When the insoles are removed, a hole is revealed in each heel, but I guess those are part of the S.U.P.R.O. Sock feature. These are great casual shoes, and if the soles had a less rugged, boot-like design, they would be very good dress shoes.

Fit is fine - Fit is fine but the side rise is a little higher than most. This causes a slight irritation on the side of the ankle but overall an excellent feel.

Great shoes, comfortable as any if not more so, and an awesome value for the price. only negative is that the first few days wearing them they'd mark the floors, as if marking their territory. Once broken in, though, they stop leaving their mark.

Comfortable pair of shoes - Deer Stag Times is a very comfortable shoe. This was my primary consideration when I bought it. It looks simple but elegant for office wear. DS Times is also lightweight considering its volume. I would have rated it with 5 stars were it not for a bit of design flaw... the side collar rubs on the ankle bone. Like wearing running shoes - This is the 3rd time I have purchased both a pair of black and brown Deer Stags' Times. I have a wide foot and with other shoes I usually need a size 10 to fit my wide feet, but then they are usually a little too long. With these, a 9.5 wide is a perfect fit. They feel like running shoes on my feet.

Comfortable, looks OK. They have a plain conservative look. They're not much to look at, but very comfortable.

Trying this shoe for a second time - I had owned a pair of these shoes once before and they were very comfortable. I had them for a couple of years and didn't want to give them up because they were so comfortable. The pair I just purchased seem to be tight and on the left foot is painful on the top of the foot. Maybe my feet have changed. Hopefully they will get broken in and get just as comfortable as the last pair I had. I like these shoes because I think they go well with jeans. They also can be comfortable when you are on your feet all day.

COMFORT! I stand on my feet all day, needing a very comfy casual dress shoe... This shoe's name should be comfortable!

Decent shoe - This is a very good shoe for casual/dressy occasions. It didn't suit my needs as much because they seemed much more shiny than I thought they would be. I have worn them several times and they seem comfortable enough to keep me satisfied.

I just received these shoes today. Very speedy service. Tried them on, and seem to fit okay, going to need some breaking in, however. The problem I have is that the colors available are black and brown. I ordered the brown, and I must say, these are not brown. More of a cordovan or maroonish type color. Probably going to keep them, because they will get me by for now.

These look nice, can get away with wearing them with dress slacks or with jeans. They run wide though.

I get crazy blisters on the back of my heel every time I wear these! What am I doing wrong? Great price and Zappos was great as usual!
