Would rate a 5 but - They are nice shoes fit good. The only thing is that the cut seems a bit high in the ankle and the heel. I am sure it is because I am used to tennis shoes. They are true to size and width. I am sure someone used to regular shoes would probably not notice the rubbing in these areas. I am use to more padding there. All in all a fine shoe. I am diabetic and have real sensitive legs, ankles.

Comfort Zone - The shoes are so comfortable...almost like wearing your comfy slippers all day long...My feet are in that total "comfort" zone...and if feet could smile...mine are just grinnin' away....Best thing I have even done for them...buying Deer Stags...an extra PLUS was the cost. Incredable value....

A really Great Shoe - Working inside an airport, it is important to have non-steel shanks and whole lot of comfort. This shoe delivers in both those departments. The only downside is that the shoelaces won't stay tied because they are slick which causes my foot to slip occassionaly.

Good Shoe - I just got them a few weeks ago and they feel great. I don't know about the length of time they will last, but time will tell.

Best comfortable dress shoes I've found - I love the shoes comfort and as long as you put a real good black polish on them that is buffed to a shine, they look like regular hardsoled dress shoes. This is the 3rd pair I've worn out and continue to buy them as I've none better. I had an ankle injury that won't let me wear hardsoled shoes, these are comfortable and look great.

Heavy shoe, didn't take a spit polish well - I'm not a big fan of the gimmicky window insert in the sole, you can always feel the depression, which is annoying. The heel is cut too deep. Overall the shoe isn't that uncomfortable. But, I gave my black Deer Stags Times a proper military spit polish the first week I bought them (you use water to wet the polishing cloth so polish sticks to the shoe and not the cloth, and apply many many progressive layers of wax). The leather cracked and bubbled on the toe cap area. My conclusion is that Deer Stag's "dress leather" upper is chemically treated and coated to give it its smooth, shiny appearance. Not a true good quality dress leather. This won't be a problem for most people, but I spit polish dress shoes and found the Times uppers to be unacceptable.

These shoes need more padding and a higher lift for the heel, because they cause chafing on the back of the ankle. They look more comfortable than they really are. I have to add an insert to be able to wear them.

While this shoe is reasonably comfortable and good looking, it comes with an built-in problem: for some reason, Deer Stags decided to put a transparent "window" into the underside of the heel, to give you a look into the shoes' sole construction. Unfortunately, this transparent inlay breaks very easily and allows water to get into the sole. The Zappos team, however, was great in dealing with the problem. I will certainly order another pair of shoes instead, most likely Bostonians. Thanks again!

I could not find this brown color in the off broadway stores. The price was higher; however, given the option of not having them, I was happy to have them available on Zappos.

I was surprised at what a great value this shoe is! This is a very well made shoe and the leather on this is very shiny. It has held up well for the month I have had it.

It is very difficult to find size 16 shoe on a budget! We were in a time crunch as our son was graduating high school and we were unable to find an affordable, decent shoe locally. I jumped on Zappos.com and was thrilled to know that if these did not fit I would not have to pay to return them. Even with overnight shipping, I paid less than shopping at our local store and got a better shoe for the money. Luckily for all involved, perfect shoe, perfect service, fast delivery and graduation went off without a hitch!

I have a 14 year old son with huge feet. I love the way I can narrow the search down by size and price. I found these shoes at a good price. He doesn't dress up often but when he does I won't have to scramble for shoes! P.s. he was dancing like a madman at the wedding so they must have been comfy!

Most comfy shoes for my athlete son who would rather wear sneakers usually! However, these are perfect for the prom, special occasions, etc since they are just as comfortable as sneakers.

Very timely shipment. Very courteous customer service. I have been wearing these shoes for about a month and couldn't understand why they feel so floppy on my feet. Visited a shoe store and confirmed that the shoes are actually a size 10 and a half M, not the 9W printed on the inside of the tongue. A shoe too big is just uncomfortable as a shoe too small. A full half inch of space behind my heel and can't pull the laces tight enough without puckering the tops.

Wow! Outstanding speed and service people. I ordered the regular size and found it too narrow. I called and spoke with a pleasant and helpful service rep. I got the wide sizes I needed within days. My first online shoe purchase and I will do so again!

When thinking about ordering these shoes for my husband I read the reviews and noticed that a hand full of people had mentioned that they tend to run a 1/2 size big. I decided to just order his usual size 12 and take my chances. Sure enough I had to exchange for an 11 1/2. My husband is very happy with the shoes though. Dressy, comfortable, and reasonably priced!

I needed shoes to wear with an olive suit and these look great with it. The color and finish is better than the photo, and they were immediately comfortable. Also, Zappos got them to me quicker than if I had bought them at a retail store! Zappos is the greatest!

I purchased this shoe about a month ago to be my primary shoe to wear to the office. So far I am extremely pleased. For the price I don't think you can beat the quality and comfort this shoe provides.

This is a great shoe. Fits me great. Zappos was great. From the Zappos website one can get a great feel of how the shoe looks in from various angles. I use it for work and it is very comfortable and yet gives the formal look. Great shoe. Zappos is awesome.
