New Balance W 587 - After my first 587 wore out, I replaced them with the same shoe, since I feel it is a wonderfully supportive yet comfortable shoe. I also like the appearance of simple white without the bright colors.

I love this shoe- have worn it for several years. Well worth the price. Great support and cushioning.

Repeat User - This is the 3rd pair of 587s I've had. All I have to do is order them and wait for them to be delivered, knowing they will fit and be comfortable. It's a great shoe.

My New Balance shoes W587 - They have a nice wide softly rounded toe that is what I seem to have been given--so, good! The staff went above and beyond so I rate that a ten. Better looking shoe than most running shoes. Us old grannies don't go for all the foxy stuff.

Nice shoe but runs short - I always wear 7 1/2 to 8 tennis shoes and in NB I have always had a thumbs extra space between toe and end of my New Balance tennis shoes. This shoe is way short! Having to move up to 8 1/2 and it is very disturbing since for 10 years size 8's have always been plenty big - even for inserts if I wanted.

Great shoe - The best and most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Perfect shoe if you have bunions or if you wear orthotics. Hope they never discontinue them.

Great - Hope these are never discontinued. Have bunions which makes it very difficult to get shoes to fit, and the 2E fit like a glove.

Great shoe - There is plenty of room for custom orthotics to fit inside the shoes. The toe box is roomy and the heel cup is deep which allows for a good fit when orthotics are in place. Overall pleased with style and medial and lateral supports. Good shoe for moderate pronators.

NB 587 - I hope they don't discontinue these. I plan on purchasing this exact shoe every 3 months. It is the best I have ever had. I have two problems with my feet and this shoe eases the pain just a little in both in the plantar and Achilles. Most shoes don't help at all or make it worse! Great value. Many shoes are more expensive that offer the same benefit.

Walking shoe - After many years of trying to get a comfortable shoe, I've found this to be the best walking shoe I've purchased. A Podiatrist recommended this one. I use my custom orthotics with this shoe.

New Balance's W587 - I get many compliments on the looks of this shoe. I have not had a problem in the comfort or sizing. It is true to size. I have a small heel which is hard to fit snuggly. This shoe does and with the roll bar on the bottom it gives great stability. I have worn this shoe for many years now and working as a nurses Asst./Reg it has been a great shoe for my work. I wear orthodics and this is the shoe the foot specialist suggested to be the best shoe to fit my needs.

Have worn this style over 5 years - Until I found this New Balance W587 my feet were always hurting, even with my RX orthotics. The SL2 last is wonderful for my wide feet and so is the support I receive for my overpronation. I can wear them all day without any problems. Wish New Balance made these in a grey so maybe the mesh wouldn't soil so easily. We should all write to New Balance about this. Zappos is the best place to shop as I am not pressured to decide whether I like the shoe or the fit and can try them on at the best time for me.

Great Shoe - I love this shoe. I have been wearing it or its previous model for about 12 years. When I wear a pair out I replace it with the same. I have a wide foot, narrow heel, and high arch and instep. I have not found another shoe that combines all and fits like a glove every time. Highly recommended.

I have severe back problems and neuropathy in both of my feet. This is the only shoe I have been able to wear for over a year. I think I've worn them for 1 1/2 years. I can't get my foot into any of my other shoes. But these have been heavenly! I have worn my orthotics with this shoe so bought it a half size bigger than I normally wear. I'm so happy to find Zappos. It is so much better than driving an hour to the store I bought my last shoes at!

Worked miracles - This shoe combined with a new pair of orthotics kept me from retiring early from my nursing profession after 8 years of foot pain. Wonderful help for those suffering from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, overpronation syndromes. How wonderful to be able to order them on line from Zappos! Negative: hard to keep clean

NB W587- I have bought 3 pairs of these running shoes. They are the best ever. Lots of width at the toe area. I just keep ordering the same shoe as they wear out. Made in the USA.

Great for flat feet- I refer to these shoes as my Frankenstein shoes- to me the extra arch looks different- it must be NEEDED as these are perfect for flat feet. The New Balance foot pads were easily removed and replaced with my Rx orthotics. I love these shoes!!

Made in USA- This shoe is quality, and is the only shoe I can wear. This shoe keeps me from getting shin splints, as well as the pain in the bottom of my feet, plantar fasciitis. I use prosthesis in the bottom of the shoe that was designed for me. You can't get a better shoe than this. Even ones that cost more don't fit quite the same, or keep your foot from pronating excessively.

A great shoe - I love my New Balance 587. It's true to the experiences I've had with New Balance shoes. The overall quality and fit is good to excellent. I'm a loyal New Balance customer and even happier to find that they still make some of their shoes in the US.

The Best Shoes Ever - I have been wearing these shoes for at least 5 years, wear them into the ground, then order a new pair about every six months. My feet are wide and they fit perfectly, are cushioned, which is important because I have arthritis in my knees. Their appearance is acceptable, even for dressy casual events (but then I live in California). I live in these shoes!

Best shoe I've ever worn - I've had this shoe for over a year and I love it. The SL2 last with deep toe box, high instep, roller bar and wide forefront are perfect for my problem feet. I bought several pairs of other New Balance styles recently and none of them had all the features that the 587 has. This is the only shoe I can wear and tried the ones that were supposed to be comparable to the 587 but they weren't. I don't like the white mesh because it soils easily and I wish New Balance would have more of a selection of colors in this shoe. I love shopping at Zappos because I can try on the shoes leisurely in my own home without the pressure of a sales associate standing by. And I don't have to decide whether to buy them or not in the store after wearing them for only 5 minutes. Zappos shipping and return policy are the best and this makes for good customer relations.

Great Comfort - This is the best purchase I have ever made. I have Achilles tendinitis and a heel spur. With this shoe I have no pain at all when I walk. The arch is just high enough to distribute my weight evenly and there is super heel cushioning. Zappos is great!

great shoes - Nice and wide. Really a nice pair of shoes.

I ordered several different models of New Balance, but they were made to the SL-1 last, which did not fit my foot at all even in a EE width. This shoe is based on the SL-2 last, which has a high instep, deep toe box, and wide forefoot. I ordered this shoe size 6 1/2 EE, and it is very comfortable, accommodating my bunions, bone spurs, and "hammer" toes. Excellent arch support, as I am flat-footed. I wish this shoe was available in black.
