I have been wearing Rockport (World Tour) shoes for over 15 years and until now have been extremely happy with them. Unfortunately, the last pair I recently ordered (and will be returning) were a great disappointment. Specifically, the tongue on the left shoe is so short that when tied the knot actually is against the skin on the instep on my ankle. I noticed that you have apparently changed countries who make them and as I have pointed out above, the tongues are shorter than those I have previously worn.

I agree with the top critical review that I read on the rockport world tour classic shoes. I have been buying rockports for at least 20 years along with other shoes that I like. however, I was very disappointed in these shoes. I have worn them 1 time to a school outing with my grandson. When I got home, I took the shoe off and never put them on again. I hate to return things but I will probably return these. I put them in my closet and have forgotten about them for approx. 3 to 4 months. The main complaint was the shoe came up too high at my ankles and were starting to rub a blister on the bottom of the ankle by the time I got home. I really hate to return them because they are a very smart looking shoe and reek of comfort when viewed.

I have several pairs of World Tours and have always considered them my favorite walking (and everyday) shoe. When I saw that they were now offered in extra-wide (I have a wide foot and bunions) I excitedly ordered a pair in my size (10.5). All my other World Tours are 10.5 W and fit well so I assumed the 10.5 Extra Wide would be even better. Wrong!! The new extra Wide shoes are much tighter than the 10.5 W's and are quite uncomfortable. I can barely get into them. Poor quality control? Mislabeling a medium shoe as extra wide? I don't know but I can't wear them.

Even though I ordered XW, the shoes are not done right. It is either labeled incorrectly, or someone does not know how to measure. In the past I never had this experience. The quality itself is very good. But I need extra wide and this is not.

I buy this shoe every two years, but not again; They are being made in India now, after beinig made in China and Vietnam. quality is very poor, and sizes are out of whack. Will wait until they correct or relocate manufacturing before buying them again.

I've been wearing my new shoes for over a week and they still hurt my feet. I replaced the insoles and that helped but the shoes still hurt my ankles
I am pretty disappointed in these shoes. I had a similar pair that were comfortable from day one. But I had worn them out so I needed to replace them.

Have been wearing this model of shoe since about 2000. Originally they were fantastic. Each new pair I have purchased have steadily deteriorated in quality of material and comfort. This is probably the last pair.

Have bought these shoes for 25 years, so for the first time ordered online. These, made in India, not quite the same as previous pairs made elsewhere. Size a bit more snug, material does not feel quite as soft. Had to return two pairs.

I found a significant flaw in two pair and then switched to Dunham.
The shoes are very comfortable, seem true to size, and are well styled.
But on two pair the eyelets had rough inside surfaces that immediately started causing abrasion on the laces. The abrasion was readily felt and heard as I pulled the laces through the eyelets. A clear case of poor quality control and poor materials.
For an alternative, albeit more expensive, I found the Dunham Midland Oxford excellent.

The leather is very stiff. The tongue on the left shoe is so stiff it hurts my ankle. The shoe is good enough not to return but if I had to do it all over I wouldn't buy the shoe again.

Was once an excellent walking shoe, but just like the New Balance 928 these have gone cheap, short, and narrow. I wish these companies would accurately size their shoes. It would save everyone a lot of trouble. I bought a pair of 13 EE, but they feel like a 12 M. I am going to try a pair of Birkinstocks or Clarks next.

I tried this shoe twice. The first time there was a slight lump of some sort in the sole in the forefoot area that became uncomfortable. I sent them back. A year later, I gave them another shot. The 2nd pair had a bad lace eyelet. It was crimped improperly and left sharp edges that instantly frayed the shoe lace. Also, the leather looked really fake. Very shiny and plastic looking. I would have lived with that, but the eyelet was a big problem. Fit was true to size and shoes were comfortable and would have not required any break-in period. Rockports used to be good, but two serious quality problems is concerning.

I have always bought Rockport pro walkers in the past and they have served me well over the past 20 years. I stand in a casino for 10 hrs at a time. I tried these world tour classics and although the size ordered is the same I have always worn these are extremely uncomfortable and hard on my feet. Too narrow and not enough cushion in the soles. After wearing them for a week I returned to my old pair which is 18 months old and much more comfortable even though they are extremely worn.

I bought two pair of the World Tour style, one black and one tumbled brown, Both pair fit well. The black pair squeak so badly I have asked to return them. Return authorization is on its way. Both pair have a minor cosmetic defect. The right tongue is almost a quarter inch shorter than the left. I'll mention that when I pack up the black ones for return.

I have purchased at least 20 pairs of the 13w size shoes over many years, all fitted the same except last pair which don't fit. Only difference I can see are these ones made in India? What's going on

I've been wearing this model shoe for about 20 years now and found them to be very comfortable. However, I just returned a pair of these shoes because the XW width is about 1/4" narrower (measured at the widest part of the sole) than my previous pair of shoes (2 years old) and they don't feel comfortable anymore. Even worse was that there was also a vertical seam on the lower exterior of the shoes (between the toe and inside arch) that never used to be there and doesn't show in any pictures of the shoes. I'm guessing that it may be a patch job, trying to save on leather. Anyway, I'm unfortunately going to have to look for some other, wider, better quality shoe. Nice knowing you, Rockport!

I love these shoes as they fit my feet very well and I love the walking feel. I have ordered them probably over a decade multiple times at this place and other providers. Recently I ordered 2 pair again in chocolate. However, it appears that the color has changed. I actually went to find my old boxes, and yes ... they were chocolate as well, but they were much lighter, closer to the color that is shown on this website. Has anybody else observed the same thing? I really do not like this darker color.

These do not feel like Rockports used to. There is virtually no arch support and no comfort in the sole. Rockports used to be the most comfortable shoe around - apparently not anymore. This shoe is not worth what it costs.

Usually like Rockports, but this has poor construction. Pad sewn at distal portion of laces [ inside ] not covered & rubs top of foot when walking.

Disappointed -- looking for a very comfortable walking shoe. Remember Rockport as such and read good reviews -- it was not to be. This Rockport was not comfortable at all. The sole is basically hard plastic and feels like it. Only way to wear these shoes is to buy gel inserts. Very disappointing.

My wife has been wanting me to buy a pair of Rockport shoes for several years. I was reluctant, due to the prices. She bought me a pair for Christmas this year, and they are just about the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. It is almost like walking on two foot-shaped pieces of plywood.

Top marks for comfort and looks!
However the rubber soles came unglued from the foam soles on both feet, at inconvenient times. The heels wore down far too fast, And finally, on one shoe, the leather split along the junction with the welt, I think the shoemaker nicked the leather during trimming. Too bad!
