Size 9M that I purchased was too narrow, unlike other 9M shoes I own.

Have bought same shoe in past with excellent results. The new shoes I ordered did not fit. Too short. Too narrow. And too tight through instep. Felt like 2 sizes too small all around.

I have bought these shoes for years. They have been made in China, Vietnam, and now India. Yes, I like the shoes, but the manufacturing process has produced a very strong smell this time. Even after sitting out for several days the smell is very strong, I was going to buy two pair this time, glad I didn't:

I've purchased Rockports in the past and have never had a problem, however these shoes are an exception. They are very stiff and uncomfortable. I tried wearing them on several occasions hoping they'd loosen up a bit. No such luck. I finally gave up and donated them to a charity organization.

First of all, let me say that Rockports are my go to shoe. I've owned well over a dozen pairs through the years. My feet fall somewhere between an 8 1/2 M and an 8 W. Always. I ordered both and had to purchase a third party insert to make the 8 W's wearable. They are still far from being as comfortable as all of my others. I do love the way they look. (World Tour Men's Classic in sand Nubuck).

These felt true to size, but there is not much padding on the back of the ankle and it rubbed the wrong way.

Nice looking shoe, but the minute I tried it on I knew it wouldn't work for me. I normally wear size 12 M and that's what I ordered, but the shoes were narrow, too tight and stiff. I returned them.

I bought these medium-prices shoes as an upgrade to the cheap ones that I usually purchase.
Quite a disappointment. The arch support is very thin, almost non-existent. They look much better in pictures than in reality and the laces are oh so stiff (like a sailor rope).
The fit is good and the soles are cushy but that's all the good things that I can say about these shoes.
I won't return them - not my thing to return stuff after using for a couple of days - but I also won't buy Rickport ever again

I've worn Rockports for years. Great shoes. They fit like slippers and don't really have to be broken in. At least that's how I remember them. The latest pair feel stiff and low quality. Rockports command a premium price and I expect to get what I'm paying for, but not with my last purchase. Seems like they've cheapened their shoes.

I was wearing a rather expensive (SAS) pair of shoes everyday for what seems like forever. They were/are fabulous.... I bought another pair to replace them, but after receiving them it occurred to me that it seemed foolish to wear them everyday as knock-around shoes given their cost, so I purchased these Rockport shoes to wear in lieu of the SAS shoes. There is a very substantial difference: the leather used for these Rockport shoes is like cardboard - very stiff and thick. The the cushioning is minimal.
Actually, I’m not knocking them.... The Rockports do look nice and for the cost they are probably of acceptable quality and may last for a long time. I’m going to continue wearing them, but potential buyeres should be aware that while they may appear quite nice, they are made to meet a price point that may disappoint....

Aside from the fact that these look like my 82-year-old Dad's shoes, they are well made. The leather actually looks plastic. Hate. That said, my husband DID choose the Rockport Northfield and likes it a lot.

The Rockport World Tour Classic is a durable comfortable shoe for $100. I have bought many pairs over the years since they come in larger sizes and narrow widths. However I wonder if Rockport has changed the composition of the soles. This pair squeaked so loudly when walking on hard surfaces (wood, tile) that I returned them.

These Rockports aren't what they used to be. Unfortunately, no shoes made in China seem to be. I could feel ridges under my feet when I put my weight on them. You would also think they could give you laces with them that were long enough. I couldn't even tie the shoes. I thought I'd replace the laces from a pair of this this same shoe that was many years old, but the shoes were too uncomfortable to keep. Returning.

I had the nubuck version of this shoe and it fit well, comfortable. However the polished black and brown pair are tighter and took some stretching and getting used to. I wear an 8W and all 3 pair are 8W, so I don't understand why the 2 polished pair are tighter than the nubuck. I will respond YES to the "reccomend" question, but beware, you will need to wear thin dress socks. Too bad the W isn't really a W.

These used to be better. I tried a third pair after the first 2 worked well with different insoles. Now the laces are too short and it feels like the shoe is smaller overall. The rest of the evening my feet hurt after trying them on for a bit, so I sent them back.

I bought this pair of shoes because of the high ratings, but I am really disappointed, since my experience is very bad. The sole is very hard and stiff, and there is very little cushion. I am really surprised by the high ratings and the amount of reviews it has. I saw people on Amazon had the same concern and suspected about getting a knockoff. I doubt that possibility, but it is very puzzling that my experience is drastically different from others.

A pretty and manly shoe I purchased for both my 40 year old son and my husband, and neither liked it. It was a bit short in size (one is a 14 and the other a 13), and both felt it fit short. We returned them.

I was a huge fan of Rockport but not now. The fit and feel is no where even close to what it used to be. The first repeat order I sent back thinking there had to be a mistake since the fit and feel was so bad but the replacement was just as bad and very disappointing. The quality is gone. I am sadly done.

They fit a bit narrow, even though they are size wide. My previous exactly the same size pair from a few years ago were a perfect fit. These are not. Maybe I need to wear them a bit to loosen them up, or send them back. Probably should have bought them at a shoe store.

I've had several pairs of these in the same size over the years and liked them very much, but this last pair seems like a different shoe - smaller and the "feel" of the sole is off, almost like it's higher on the outside than the inside. Not sure if I just got a bum pair or if the design has changed, but I'm disappointed.

I have been purchasing this shoe for over 10 years, always the same size and in black and brown. This time something has changed. The length is shorter than my last pair and they are not as wide. I will need to return them to the store and search for another size
