Will not work with orthotics - There is a thick removable insole. Unfortunately the way the shoe is designed once you remove the insole there is a small lip along the side of the shoe that will not be comfortable unless the orthotic is thicker. I have a thick orthotic and it was not high enough. Too bad they didn't design the inside better. Nice shoe for casual wear with a very soft leather.

Not as comfortable as I thought - I had a very high expectation from all the reviews I read on this site. But I don't feel too comfortable wearing these. I've been wearing this pair on a daily basis but it's not getting any better. Maybe it's not for me. If possible, I want to return these and get more comfortable pair.

Rockport has changed - For more than 15 years, I’ve always bought Rockports. For their comfort, support, quality, etc. But since Reebok bought them, the quality and most importantly the comfort, has changed for the worse. After walking two miles in these, I ended up with two large blisters on the top of my big toes. This having worn this exact same model for many years. Unfortunately, I won’t be buying and more Rockports. After researching the hundreds of options on Zappos, I decided to branch out and try the Merrell Jungle Moc. WOW. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn! Very supportive, wide toe box and ultra comfortable. They are highly recommended! Rockports…not so much.

It has been a few years since I owned Rockports and I am very disappointed with the comfort of these shoes. It feels like they are made of wood with no cushion in the foot bed. I immediately purchased a set of gel insoles which have helped some, but things are still far from ideal. So much for my memory of the comfortable Rockports of old. I guess this is just another example of the cheapening of everything we buy these days. I wouldn't pay half price for these shoes in the future.

Unglued - Sole on one shoe came apart after about 2 weeks of use. Replacement shoes ok so far with 3 weeks of use.

Very cool! While I haven't worn them much yet as it is 12 degrees outside right now, around the house these shoes are very comfortable. They seem very well made and I can't wait for warmer weather to show them off!

Too wide - This shoe runs much wider than marked. I bought a 7.5D, and it's got to be at least a EE. I have to wear bulky sox to keep my feet from swimming around inside the shoe and the shoestring eyelets pull completely together. The shoe runs wide in the midfoot, such that there is very little arch support. It runs wide in the rear, such that there is very little heel and ankle support. Finally, the woven rope style shoe laces refuse to stay tight; I finally gave up and replaced them…The heel liner is starting to separate where the stitching is coming undone. Otherwise, these are decent, durable and attractive shoes that are worth their price, however, I do not intend to buy another pair.

Great Company - Just an Odd Crease - A wonderful company that I continue to use. This model, however, has a terrible way of cutting across the top of the foot. Too painful to use. Will try other Rockport models that I completely enjoy.

Comfortable! This shoe is very comfortable. It feels just like a slipper when you wear them. But just like the slipper, it has no arch support. For short walks this shoe is just fine. For longer walks, your dogs will be whimpering due to the total lack of arch support. The quality of the sole is very rugged; however, I was disappointed with the leather uppers as they are very flimsy. Overall, just an average shoe. For the money, you would do well to buy another shoe.

Comfort lacking - A beautiful shoe but seriously lacks lasting support. I walk a lot on my job and my feet started to hurt after only a week. I recommend these for short periods of activity. The rockport blackville that I own are far superior for lasting comfort.

There is no indication on the shoe as to it's size. I normally will not buy a shoe where I can not see stiching all around the sole of the shoe. The photo was not clear enough to see any stiching and I found that glued soles have a short life span for me. This shoe has no visible stiching.

Rockports - The shoe is exactly as advertised.

Rockport/Wilkerson - I have been wearing Rockports as a casual shoe for about 10 years. Normally, I purchase them from a store, which means I try them on first. I assumed I could accomplish the same result; however, the sides of this particular shoe chafe against my ankle because they are higher than I am used to. Since I have worn these shoes, I will not return them. I will be more cautious about trying on this type of shoe in the future.

World Tour - Well-made shoes BUT, the tongue is long and stiff on the tumbled leather ones. I put two clothes pins on the tongue with a 1/2" fold back at night and wear them with the top lace eyes unlaced for more all day comfort. Because of this I am dissatisfied with this shoe. I had bought two pairs and found that the Nubuck ones have a softer tongue and are not as uncomfortable. I will choose a different style next time. Rockports seem to be well made. I do use orthodic insoles.

The sidewall leather is to soft. It tends to walk out and becomes very hard to keep laced tight. It is comfortable and has a non marking sole.

Rockport review - I found the shoe rather tight, hot, and not particulary comfortable.

Great shoe, except for the back heel sole is coming loose. This is a great shoe that fits nice and is very comfortable, except, the back sole has come loose and I cannot wear them any longer. This is very disappointing. My wife has always worn Rockport and has never had a problem; only that she replaced the sole due to wear. Otherwise, I would recommend this shoe to everyone. Thank you for the great comfort

too tight

While I love Rockport shoes, I find that the advertised width of XW or as Rockport says, 4E, is not really a 4E fit. I've ordered 4 other 4E shoes that are fine, but unfortunately not the Rockports. It's a disappointment.

The shoe fit was too tight and hard

The shoe fit was too tight & hard around my toes.

This shoe was too tight everywhere. Heels, toes and top of the foot. They did look nice.

Have been wearing Rockport World Tour Classic for about 20 years and this is the first pair I have had a problem with. They are 1/2 inch shorter than my old pair. They are tight across the top of my foot and short, hurting my toes. I have worn the same size all of my life.

They didn't look nice and had too little arch support.

Extra Wide doesn’t equate to 4W with these. Maybe with Brooks or New Balance but not these.
