This is a great and comfortable classic. They do stain easily, so be sure to spray first with a good quality waterproof.

Great looking shoes. I ordered the red and they really stand out. The red are a little trickier to tie, since the laces loop around buttons instead of going through holes, but the buttons really add to the look. I Scotchgarded them before I wore them, though, since they are fabric and probably could stain. Many reviewers said they run big, but I wear an 11 and the 11 in this shoe was perfect on me.

There is absolutely nothing to compare to the desert boot. They are comfortable, and conservatively stylish. They wear well and last long. This is my 6th pair of dbs. The best part about the worn taupe is that even when they get wet, they still look the same. They're not perfect. You can't run in them, but are great for work and going out.

I love these shoes. They're comfortable, look great, and can be worn for almost any occasion. Lastly I love Zappos, it was shipped within 2 days.

These boots are very comfortable after a considerable break-in period. They improve with age in both looks and comfort.

This was the first pair of Clark's desert boots that I have purchased since they began offering them in anything but sand/suede. I went with black leather for versatility (you can dress them up as needed, but mostly with jeans) and I could not be happier. They have a similar look to Doc Martens but without the loud yellow stitching. I have been wearing them for about two weeks now, and the leather seems to be of good quality so far. It does not scuff too easily. They are just a classic and highly versatile boots at a good value. They are comfortable, too.

The leather of the upper is soft and supple from day one. The sole is made of a soft rubber, and discolors quickly, but not in a bad way - it adds to the character, and the discoloration is localized to the bottom of the sole. Note the sides that are visible during casual wear. Overall a very comfortable casual boot.

I love these boots. They might be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! Not only that, they look great. Order the size that matches your boot size, these seem to run about one size large.

Amazing shoes. I ordered mine half a size smaller (usually wear 9.5), and they fit me just right. Be prepared to break them in, and be aware that the leather will show creases and signs of wear as soon as you put them on.

Not a bad shoe. I would recommend putting a stain resistant coating of some kind on, if at all possible. That being said, the leather, so far, has been easily cleaned.

Great boots, look very cool yet classy. Size down! I wrestled for over a week to find my size I normally wear a 12 and 11 were a little big but 10.5 were way too small.

Great boot! I usually wear these with some dark jeans and a button down and it looks very good. This is one of a few shoes I own that gets compliments on a regular basis.

I purchased these as Christmas gift for son. He loved them. Said they were very comfortable from very beginning. He loved the style, color and cushioned sole. He is 31 and discerning about his shoes. These earned five stars.

Great looking boot. Just what I was looking for. Definitely order a 1/2 to a full size smaller than normal. I normally wear a 12, ordered an 11 1/2 and the fit is perfect with thick socks. Zappos delivery was exceptional as usual.

After a solid 2 week break-in period they are pretty comfortable. Good for the office and then some.

Fits about a 1/2 size larger. This is a classic shoe and extremely comfortable, especially when worn with a thicker pair of socks. Feet stay cooler in the summer, and with thick wool socks, they're definitely good for the spring/fall/early winter too. The beeswax leather is waterproof but does require a bit of maintenance to keep it that way. The crepe rubber sole may be harder to repair/replace, but hey it can't be perfect!

I bought these in the beeswax leather. I'm normally a 10.5 but opted for a 9.5 since they run a size bigger. It's true. The 9.5 fit great! I've been wearing the boot for 3 days now and it has been painful to break-in but based on what I know about Clarks and what my friends have told me they will eventually become really comfortable. So expect to have an uncomfortable break-in period with these as I am currently experiencing it. The color will lighten with wear however purchasing a beeswax base protectant will solve this issue. The shoe looks great and I already know will better with normal wear and tear! No regrets!

I love the fit of these shoes. The leather is soft enough that you don't need to break them in but they are durable. They are a great way to dress up a pair of jeans. I found these to run a full size larger.

Very good looking, comfortable classic. Color is a great neutral - goes with either grays or browns.

My husband loves these shoes! He bought his regular size and they were a perfect fit. A little snug but once he worn them the first time they gave to the form of his foot. He highly recommends them to anyone who loves this style! The soles are very cushiony and feel so nice on your feet!

The shoes are great. Comfortable, stylish and can be casual or even a bit dressy! I liked them so much I bought a pair in brown, too.

The fit is good, but should order 1/2 less for truer feel. I like the inside lining but he outside color is not as dark as the caption. You can never go wrong with Clarks.
