Surprise! Great for really wide feet!
I have a EEE foot and a high instep. I love these shoes because, even though they say M width, they are designed to lace all the way down to your toes. So you have control over the width. I just got them and they feel fantastic. No break in time required. Buy them!

I love my Dr Martens. I've always heard that they are one of the most comfortable shoes around and I agree 100-percent. This is my second pair of the 8287 series and the only reason for buying a new pair was due to the fact that I liked the peanut grizzly color. This was my first order from zappos.com and their service was great!! As far as the 8287 boot, it's very stylish, comfortable and I have gotten many compliments on the look! If you buy this boot you won't regret it!

Dr. Martens run approx. one size larger. My son wears a 12, but needed a size 10 in UK size. When needing an exchange, Zappos was extremely efficient and the exchange was made with no problems very quickly. The shoes are awesome! Quickest to wear out -
Of all 8 different types of Docs I own, I paid the most for these (bought them off the store shelf the first time I saw them). These wore out the quickest. Unfortunately there is no amount of polishing that can fix the fact that the stiching likes to come out nearest the toe. I will always wear Docs, but I didn't even get a year's wear out of these.

I just purchased the 8287 Dr. Martens and this company took serious care of me. Not only was it free Ground Shipping but they emailed me shortly after the order was completed and told me that they have upgraded my order to two day delivery as a thanks for the order. That wasn't it. They noticed during shipping that the box was damaged but the shoes were fine so they notified me of this and took an additional $5 off the price of the shoe. Just unbelievable service and today I am wearing the shoes that arrived in perfect condition and love them. This company is great, have no hesitation ordering from them.

Great shoes for everyday work.
These Dr. Martens are super great. So great, that I had to buy a pair for my sister's boyfriend for Christmas. I got a pair of the 8287's a year ago, and I have been using them 5 days a week for 10 hours a day. They are like a second skin for me. I did have to put a special insole inside, because I'm a diabetic, but that is just to make sure my feet are in great shape. The best part is I got the shoes for a good deal compared to what I paid at the place I got it. Everyone should have a pair of these, they're a must for work.

I love the boot. I order the light color and I recieved the dark one instead. I really like the light color better than the dark. But I did not want to mess with sending them back. The boot feels fine in both size and width when ordered at least one size smaller than normally ordered. This company was extremely helpful in exchaning the size originally ordered with a smaller size. With my original order, I received a color other than what was stated on the box and the people at Zappos called me and "overnighted" the correct color pair to me along with a 30% discount on my next pair. Return shipping was paid by them and I was one happy customer! Thank you very much, I will shop here again!

I'm delighted with the sturdy character and stylish look of the Docs. They stabilize my ankles well and protect me from the weather, as I'm in and out of periodic wet weather working on an ambulance. They help protect my feet from falling objects and feel great! My only problem with them is that the tongue slides around. The tongue needs some sort of lace (like tennis shoes have) that the shoe's laces can be pulled through to secure the tongue in place. Excellent quality!
