Awesome - I own this Doc and 10 other styles. I love them all. The one thing that I would recommend is buy a size smaller than you need. They do take a couple days to break in, but once they do, they will be the best shoes you ever wore.

I have had these shoes for four years, I wear them everywhere. They are so comfortable it's hard to not wear them everywhere. I've worn them to church, weddings, school, work, painting, doing yard work, hiking, just about everywhere. They still look fantastic with somewhat regular polishing. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone, it's highly worth the price, I payed over $125 and am very much satisfied. I'm going on a week long backpacking hike in Yellowstone next summer and will be wearing these for sure.

Little Bigger than exected... The shoes that I got were a half size larger, however- the customer service was OUTSTANDING and I got my DM's in 2 days. I buy shoes all the time here now.

Great boots solid feel yet flexible sole, comfortable as soon as you put on, and get better from there on. Excellent winter traction and the shoes will look good for a long time, with a little maintenance as in polish. Worth the money...

Doc's are always great- and Zappos makes them BETTER! I just have to say, the boot is a huge comfort. I love this style, and as always, Doc Martens are the best. I did think it was a little roomier than I had expected it to be, but otherwise, perfect. Also- a note about Zappos- I couldn't ask for any better customer service than they give. This is really one of THE BEST online shoe dealers on the net. Great product, but made better with the GREAT customer service and S/H!! Thanks!!!!

They will have to tear these off my cold dead feet - These are my favorite all-time shoes! They look great with the jeans I wear almost year-round, match almost any casual top, and I can wear them for barn chores and anywhere else. They even minimize my big feet and somehow, with the rounded toe, make my flipper feet cute. I have size 9 US feet and have the 6 UK Bark Grizzly Docs.

Not what my aging feet needed... Doc Martens have, for years, made a great shoe. Great if you absolutely, positively have no existing foot problems. I wore them constantly when I was in my 20's. Today I am in my 40's and had to send this pair back. No arch support, horrible on the back if you stand for long periods of time and they aggravated the bone spurs that I have on my left foot due to arthritis. Perhaps I sound like an old lady, but Docs should be best left to the younger kids. I simply cannot wear them anymore. I wish they would come out with a line of footwear more compatible with aging feet. But I would like to say that Zappos service is excellent. I only have issues with the boot, not Zappos. I will order from Zappos again. Thanks to their return policy I can shop around and hopefully find a pair that will finally work for me.

Great Shoe - This is an awesome look, but I agree that the shoe felt about a size larger than I expected. But they fit my boyfriend, so he took them, and I will just buy a smaller pair.

Tongued up - I love this boot but...One of the boots (left side) has a problem w/ it's tongue. No matter how many times I center the tongue it will always works its way over to the left. So I find myself consistly tying and untying the boot. Unfortunily this only temperorily fixes the problem...What a pain in the *#%* ...I wish there was a solution to this problem ?? Otherwise I would like to die w/ these boots on(Drama)...

Doc's Rock - Docs are the best boots on the market. They offer support and comfort that is out of this world. I have had my pair for three years and they last!!! I bought a pair of red docs from Zappos a while back and this company is great as well. Get the Docs.

4 pair - I bought my newest pair in July of this year (04). Over the past 5 years I have purchased 3 different pair of Dr Martins. I will probably never buy another shoe, other than Dr Martins. They are the most confortable shoe I have ever owned.

Bobby Babbitt from Phoenix AZ. Theese shoes are a "real CLASSIC" ! Definately in the light tan color / "peanut", giving you that "vintage" Ralph Lauren "look." They look great w/ a pair of light tan kahki shorts & that Indiana Jones hat !

First & Only - My first and only pair of Docs I've ever gotten and I must admit I thought they would be a little more than they are. Yeah, they've some nice comfy soles but from there up they aren't all that special. Worst thing about them: That stupid tongue that always slides down and bunches up right where the toe begins; It's a bit annoying. I probably shouldn't complain though, haven't really worn a boot in years so I'm not really used to them, and I do have the feeling that they are going to be some excellent boots when they are fully broken-in. Also, with a wide size 15 I can't really complain, I'm lucky I found a shoe/boot I like that fits. Zappo's was the only place I could find that could get me this size too, not to mention it was cheaper than any stores around here were selling 8287s for (even though they didn't have my size.) And the service... the service was great, as was the speedy delivery. Now if only I could find a size 15 pair of loafers like the 9A50s with a shine like the Black Astralux.

how many hours ? I bought my first pair of 8287's arout 5 years ago at the mall. These are bar-non the most comfy shoes I have ever worn. I work full time in an exteremly buzzy kitchen where sitting for 20 min in a 12 hour shift is a luxury. I litteraly didn't own an other pair of shoes so I figure roughly 18 hours a day in the same shoe for 4 years comes to over 26000 hors of a good shoe. Come time to get a new pair of my Docs I found them on zappos for 113.00, Yeah! I will have to admit, I did try another pair of Docs but they didn't work out and zappos refunded me right away as I went back to my love afair with my 8287's--best shoe on the planet.. ps i still were my original pair for the realy dirty work. that is 5 years and counting ez, phx,az

I love these! I wore these walking the neighborhood the first time. The next day I went tromping around the foothills. I did get one tiny blister on my little toe, but I should have had thicker socks. I am very happy with these boots and they are very comfortable. I would like to add that Zappos really is the best company around. A total pleasure!

After four years of wearing the same pair of Docs, which are still in okay shape--I needed to find another pair. I chose these and was not disappointed. They look great and are very comfortable.

Awesome boot! These are my first pair of Dr. Martens, and they are probably the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. And the shipping time was great, especialy for living overseas in the military.

Great Boots! I've owned Doc's for years, but these are the most comfortable pair I've ever worn, right out of the box. I've had 3 pairs of the 0939 style, and those usually fit a half size small for me, so I was worried I might have to send these back, but they fit just right.

Love the 8287 Docs - This is the second pair of 8287s I have purchased for my husband. He absolutely loves them. The boot is true to size as long as you get a size smaller (UK size smaller). These boots look great with jeans and even casual pants. My husband loves them because they look good and are very comfortable.
