A Classic - I bought these Docs for my boyfriend, who has been wearing them for many years now. Once a pair wears out he gets a new pair, but not to say that these wear out fast. Quite the opposite, tried and true, these classic Docs are always a good purchase.

Live up to their name - The break-in time has been fast. The all-leather insoles are nice. Great tread, reasonably fashionable look (tech industry). My first pair of Docs.

Cute shoe - I haven't worn a Doc Marten oxford in a few years and am pleased with this pair. The styling is cute and I like the padded cuff at the ankle.

Dr. Martens again - These are my favorite shoes and would never buy anything else. The first week is always hard on the feet breaking them in but then after that they last forever. I hope Zappos never discontinues this series-this is the only place that I can find them in my size.

Great versatile shoe - I bought these shoes for my work in an office and love them! I spend some of the day on my feet, and they are very comfortable, though they did take some breaking in, which has always been true with the Docs I've owned previously. As I'm used to wearing sneakers all of the time, these were a switch for me, but they have proven themselves to be great shoes; durable and good looking with jeans and khakis. Some people have complained because these shoes are no longer made in the UK (which is too bad), but having owned UK Docs, these seem to be of comparable quality, and the laces are better than on the old Docs (I remember having to replace the laces on a previous pair of these after a few weeks, these seem to be much better). I also like these because I can wear them on my dad's construction company site, and they seem to wear reasonably well. The soles are durable, and resist some of the wear that other shoes succumb to. Great shoes! Buy some!

Timeless-Classic - Comfortable from the first day, but they just keep getting better the more I break them in!! Love the greasy black!!

Fantastic Work Shoes! This is a secondary pair to another pair of Doc Martens that I had to return (because they were too small). These shoes totally made the difference... make sure you do get these shoes a half size larger (to allow for toe wiggleage), and then make sure you get shoe inserts (because the balls of my feet felt like they were on fire). My little toes felt strained when first having them on, but after a week of breaking the shoes in, these are the most comfortable shoes evah! I've had nothing but positive comments about these shoes where I work, even people asking me where I've gotten them. Shoe is great! They probably just need to be worn for awhile to obtain maximum comfort. Other than that I love the shoe. And I will definitely buy all my shoes from Zappos.com from now on. Excellent service and fast free shipping A+.

Still a smart-looking shoe - The brown Doc Marten with 5 rows of eyelets is a great-looking shoe. It's durable, has good support, and cushions your walk. It takes some breaking in and is not immediately comfy despite a cushioned back. Now that it's broken in, I wear them every day.

Awesome Kickers... I can kick all kinds of junk with these in comfort. Deal with it and Buy them now. The normal sole Docs are flat and not good like a construction sole.

Docs for work - fabulous - I bought these to wear to work on the advise of my Mother ... she was soooo right. Great support and comfortable. I should have known that Dr.'s wouldn't let me down. I would recommend to anyone that has to be on their feet during work or school.

This shoe is terrific! It is my second pair of Doc Martens, and certainly won't be my last. After the first day of wear, the shoe has begun to conform to your foot. The second day, your walking on pillows. I work and am on my feet for sometimes ten hours. These shoes cannot be beat. Thanks again Zappos for another great order!!

I always buy DM's but I must say this style doesn’t wear well. I have had 4 pairs and wear them to work every day but I'm lucky to get 6 months before the sole splits or come away mostly on the instep.

Dr. Martens 8053 Series - Gaucho - I recently tried a pair of the new 8053 Flex Links on at a local Nordstrom and did not care for them. I've had a pair of the black 8053's for about five years now and love them (US 10). At first I ordered these in a US 10 and felt like I was swimming in them. Sent them back to Zappos (great on returns as always) and got the US 9's instead. The US 9's fit fine and is truly stiff as a new Doc should be. Do not expect to put this shoe on and wear it for eight hours first time around. They do require a fair amount of breaking in. But I'm sure in no time they will be just as comfy as my black pair and they look great with khakis or jeans.

Heel Pad Problems - I love the shoes but the heel pad cracked after less than a year and now it rubs blisters on my heels if I walk more that about 1/4 mile

Can wear them with anything. Need a couple of days to break in. Bought a new pair 3 years in a row, still able to wear the ones I bought 3 years ago.

Dr. Marten's ** always a great shoe- I purchased this pair of shoes for my son after realizing his previous pair had seen better days. He hated to part with the old ones but said the new ones were "broken in" after only two days at work. He works 8-10 hours on his feet on a concrete floor and is thrilled with the comfort Dr. Marten's has always provided.

Love them- Gave these to my boyfriend and he really likes them... says they’re is hardly a break-in time and the heel cushion is the best... his other Docs have lasted him over 5 years and still look great... Plus Zappos is the BEST to order from... they are nice, quick and just plain good...

Big Feet - These shoes were for my son who has size 16 feet. He actually needed dress shoes (to go with a suit) but all other shoes weren't proportioned correctly and had huge side gaps when he walked. These fit great and he walks miles every day in them. That's why we ordered them again. I just wish they made them with black thread instead of yellow. (I know, I know--it's part of authentic Docs!) We had to use a black marker over the side threads.

1ST TIMER - Great looking shoe. There will be blisters until break in is done but thats what i've heard. As far as I can tell the Chinese made do run small. I am a 10US and took an 11.
