The Classic - I have had these boots now for about 3 weeks. They felt a bit stiff at first, but interesting how it begins to form to your foot. Great bouncy, sole for comfort. Not good for those with narrow feet, as they run a bit wide. You WILL need arch supports.

Getting my doc's - I am always a little apprehensive ordering things on the internet, but Zappos.com was great. I ordered my shoes and they got here within three days. No problems at all.

Oi! Great Boots - These boots were a little small when I first started wearing them, but if you wear two pairs of thick socks and wash your car while wearing them, Great fit and finish. I know what you are thinking, that procedure seems a little odd, and I thought the same thing when I was told to do that, but it really works wonders! Justin

still trying to break in - I've been wearing these docs for almost 2 weeks now, and they still aren't broken in. They feel really stiff and continue to give me blisters. Originally I got my usual size, but had to go down one because they were too big. They still feel a little big, and make my feet look huge! I'm beginning to regret purchasing these docs, which is a shame because I've wanted a pair of red doc martens boots forever.

Love the shoe - My husband has worn this same shoe since they first started selling in the United States as the "shoe to have" several years ago. As a matter of fact we both wear the same style for Harley riding and my husband wears these every day as they are the most comfortable and give him the most ankle support for his Foot Drop. Docs gone bad - They used to be made in England and now they are not. So, they send them to be made in Asia to save money but the quality of the boot is now terrible. So, they saved money, but the boot costs the same and quality is worse. This is my last pair.

Just what the Doctor ordered! I have loved these boots since I got my first pair back in high school. There is no footwear more durable or comfortable. I have gone through three pairs- one had to be replaced because they were stolen... the other two are holding strong! My husband won't wear anything else- and aside from running shoes- I'm inclined to agree with him! The only thing I'd say be aware of is that you HAVE to break them in- and I personally tape my heels for that week to avoid blisters. Once formed to your feet, they're a dream!

Don't feel the same as my old Docs - I have been wearing my shoes 2 to 3 days a week trying to break them in. Still no luck they are still hurting my feet.

Doc Martens - Best boot I've ever bought!! I broke my ankle four months ago and was looking for a boot/shoe that would give me support and protection and this is it, I highly recommend it for ankle support. Just lace 'em up tight and you're good to go!

Zappos rocks!!!!!!!! Great efficiency from Zappos. My shoes were delivered in 2 days with free shipping. Docs are great as usual. Expensive shoes, but well worth it considering they will last for years. Will reorder with Zappos next time I need shoes!

Give them time - Great shoes, great look, comfort is there to be had after extended break in. These shoes give great support but the stiffness of the leather is something I had forgotten. My last pair is 8 years old and well worn, so the leather is extrememly soft. Don't expect to wear these for extended walking until a good break in period!

A different cut - I got what I thought was the exact same shoe that I have been wearing since I was 15. The cut of this shoe is significantly different than previous Doc Martens, which makes it tighter and gives it less room for accompaniment at the top. I'm hoping it'll be more comfortable when it is broken in, but the previous cut was much better.

Good shoes - Just got the shoes so I'm still breaking them in, but they feel great and they look fantastic.

Old Reliable - I purchased these same boots about 11 years ago and was wearing the same boots until the soles wore out and could not be replaced. The new pair that I just recently purchased are not of the same quality as 11 years prior but they will still suffice. I love the offbeat style of the boot and find them to be quite funky. The arch support is lacking in these boots, in addition to the fact that I am a woman's size 7 1/2 and ordered a size 8 as the boot does not come in half sizes and they are a bit loose on my feet. I had to purchase arch and heel supports to enhance the comfort of the boot. Otherwise I still love the look of them and hope that these boots will last as long as my other pair!!!

Great Boot- Boot has a great look. A little lacking on the comfort inside the boot. I wish Doc's came in half sizes. But all in all, I couldn't be happier. The next pair of shoes I get will be these.

Doc Marten's - I am very pleased with my purchase. It was easy to order, and shipment was quick.

Docs - Great boots---my 5th pair... Take a *long* time to break-in, but feel like a pair of Nike’s afterwards... the other bonus of that is that they *last* a long time as well... The UK sizing will mess you up if you aren’t careful... 4 *'s for comfort due to extended break-in 5 *'s for looks--- if you buy Docs, you probably know what they look like... perhaps not for everyone...

Still hot after all these years - These are classic boots no matter what series you choose. I bought the white one's because they will stand out under anything I wear. Well made, rich look, hard to break in but worth the wait. And I love Zappos because I can try them on and send them back if they don't fit right. Thanks Zappos!

Stiff at first- My husband wears these boots to work every day. This is his third pair. His previous Black pair lasted two years. That’s really good for work boots. They are very stiff at first. Wear then a little bit at a time and he says they almost mold to your feet. He loves them and I love buying them on line. No tax no shipping and no going to the mall...

Great Color Shoes- I really love the color of these shoes. They need a bit of breaking in but otherwise are quite comfortable with thick socks, which is what I wanted. I just haven't found out how to lace them right, but I'm working on it.

Finally Replacing - I bought the 1560's over 2 years ago. While they are still intact and I could probably get another 2 years out of them, it's time for a change (and I will be ordering from Zappos again). I bought them for riding my motorcycle, but they turned into my work shoes as well. They have upheld through the roughest riding conditions and still looked great with dress slacks. Be prepared to break them in...

Doc Martens 8 hole - Rec'd quickly and well packed (as always) from Zappos. Doc Martens have been my son's favorite boots for some time and these were a holiday gift. He's worn them continually since opening and says they're comfortable and warm. Four out of four stars.

Still great after all these years - The red is actually more of a dark oxblood color than the picture shows - really beautiful! I hadn't had Docs since college in the 90s and, boy, I didn't realize what I was missing! So comfortable and still stylish. The red is a nice, funky choice. Zappos rocks!! Great service, etc.
