These were, as one reviews said, the ugliest shoe ever. With recent foot joint problems, I have been trying rocker technology shoes with good results. These propet village walkers did not seem to come close to helping with foot joint pain as others have. Sorry - must return.

Comfy but ugly. The Cognac color does not blend into the sole. I returned them.

I had been buying these same shoes for a number of years because it's hard for me to find shoes in my extremely wide width. I wear a 11 6E, bit I could wear these in 5 E comfortably. Unfortunately, the construction around the ankle cups is pretty poor quality. The opening of the shoe is too high, and the shoe cuts into the underside of my ankles. The problem is worsened by the seam on the shoe, it comes to a point and makes a sharp edge that veru uncomfortably cuts into the ankes.

I bought a pair in 2012 and loved them, walked many many miles in city streets. Bought another pair a couple of years ago and am less thrilled with their stamina. The leather is in good shape, but the left shoe seam separated several months ago. They were still wearable, but recently I noticed the bottom sole of the right shoe had split all the way across! Not good. Based on the value I got from my first pair, and on the comfort and fit of both pairs, I'm ordering another pair. But if the new pair has stamina problems, I won't order them again.

Have bought Galway Walkers before. They are very comfortable but are slip-on. My Dr. suggested shoes that tie so my foot wouldn't move around. Bought these...side by side they look exactly the same. Comfort wise not even close! Poor quality control? Settled because I needed work shoes. Had also tried Stability Walkers but way too tight! Don't know if I would buy from this manufacturer again? Inconsistent quality! Time to try another? Of course Zappos service was stellar!

Felt like a good fitting shoe and comfortable. After a few months, finding the comfort has degraded. Bottom of my feet are sore. In fact, the outer edge of my right foot when I wear these shoes halfway of the day becomes very sore. It looks as thou the right shoe has less padding in that area or maybe it just the way I walk. I don,t have this issue with other shoes I have purchased from Zappos. I am either going to get rid of these or try inserts. These shoes were expensive so I am more inclined to ditch them.

Wider than I thought they'd be and flimsy leather uppers. I haven't given up on these but I will be modifying with inserts

The last pair was a big disappointment. My big mistake to wear them outside right away. Much too narrow. I had been wearing this model for ten years with 100% satisfaction until now. I tried a different supplier and same problem. So beware, make sure they fit perfectly.

Ok not great - Have purchased a number of shoes from Zappos and Propet in particular and have been thrilled with the comfort and look from all. These shoes are just not quite as comfortable with a shallower toe box and for some reason they feel hot on my feet. There is nothing inherently wrong with the shoe but these were to be my primary work shoe and I think I will relegate them to a secondary role and wear one of the other shoes I got at Zappos as my primary.
I'd also recommend:
Any Propet with a moccassin toe.

Not the dream my feet were hoping for - I am on my feet all day at work (~10 hrs.) and was looking for a shoe that would look more professional than my running shoes. These look better, but by the end of the day the bottom of my heel is sore and my foot fatigued. They are definitely better than a regular work shoe, but I am going to have to keep wearing the running shoes.

Rating the Propet Village Walker - The reason for the downgraded overall rating is that my pair of Propet Village Walker has a very strong offensive odor to them that is taking a long time to go away. I have left them outside for days on end and they still smell. The comfort is great. The look is great but the smell is not.

Good Shoe, Fit coult be better - I like the shoe. The "Look" is what I had hoped for. I am hadicaped and had never worn "store bought shoes" for a long time. I went to several shoe stores and couldn’t find what I needed. I decided to try online. I ordered a triple E size thinking boy I hope that is not too wide. Turns out they are better then any I tried at a store but still very tight across the top of my arch. I think I should have ordered the next size wider.

The shoes are perfect except ..... my right foot can't tolerate the abrupt dropoff just forward of the heel.

Shoe looks decent but as soon as I put them on the left shoe started digging into front of ankle, couldn't stand without being in pain, outside of shoe looks good but inside foot bed very bumpy and you can feel bumps through very cheap and thin insoles

The uppers looks good, and do seem to be made of quality leather. The size was exactly as expected. I need a narrow (B) width, and they were right on in length and width (US size 12). However, the advertisement claims they have "durable", "rubber" soles. The soles looked, felt, and performed like cheap, thin, hard, vinyl, not rubber. Also, the insole has inadequate padding. You can feel your foot resting on top of the hard, cheap soles. Returned immediately.
I'd also recommend:
Redwing Oxford 6703. Good quality, rubber soles. Full-grain leather stitched to soles. B width.

Very disappointed with this shoe. It is the 4th or 5th pair of Propet Walkers I have owned. Up until this pair I was very happy. They fit fine right out of the box. But this time the shoes were smaller in length and width than the pair I bought a couple years ago. I put on both pair and the new ones are definitely smaller. I only wear them two or three times a week, so I thought I should give them time to break in, even though I've never had to do that previously with the Propet. But after 4 months they are still tight and I hate to wear them. I would exchange them for a larger size but I have worn them. Beware of Propet Walkers. They have changed the last, changed manufacturer or something that makes the new ones smaller than they were a couple years ago.

I used this shoe for the last two weeks. In that short span of time, I have 1. had the skin of my ankles rubbed off and bloodied by the back of the shoe, 2. Had the soles of my feet covered in sores and blisters, and 3. Spent the end of each day laying in a pile because my feet hurt too much to move. I got these shoes because I wanted comfortable walking shoes. What I got was some form of torture. I tried walking for an hour, the back of my white socks turned red from my quite literally bloody ankles. I'd rather go back to the Payless shoes that were three sizes too small. At least they only made it hard to feel my toes.

When I first bought the shoe I loved them but as I continued to wear them daily I realized what I didn't like about them. 1) the lack of grip on the bottom of them, 2) the insert that came with them is to small so by the end of the day the area of the insert was balled up in the front of the shoe, 3) I don't know what kind of material this is under the insert but its already tearing apart, 4) NO SUPPORT (I mean for a walker in its title there is no support at all) 5) no stability control I mean I would have asked for a refund but the amount of time it takes to process a refund for an online order is pointless. I am better off suffering in these until I can afford something else than going back to my old shoes. But thanks

I think the pair sent me was either mismarked or mismade. They were too short especially the right shoe, which also had a pucker or crease at the instep that the left shoe did not have. They are not very impressive to look at either. That id disappointing, because I have had other Propet products which were excellent.

I have worn this shoe for several years, but the last 2 pairs have started splitting after a very short time. This pair in two weeks! The quality has really gone downhill. I will not purchase another pair.

I normally wear 9 1/2 wide, but they were sliding all over the place. I returned them and tried a 9 regular. The left felt great, but the right was way too tight (felt like I needed a 9 1/2 wide again???). Even with the smaller size and one too tight, both shoes slipped on the heel when I walked. It's a shame (for me), because the cushioning in these shoes is really something special. If they would have fit, they would make a great walking shoe that you could wear at the office.

All Around The Town - My husband has a difficult time finding his size which is a 7EEE. Small and wide. Finding this shoe has been a blessing. It's comfortable and looks good.
