They're a bit clunky-looking, but fantastic for walking - and they last forever. I just replaced my first pair after 8 years, and I'm really tough on shoes. They run a bit bigger that other shoes, but for me that just means my custom orthotics fit with no problem. Finally, they take a shine pretty well, which is a plus.

I like the shoes very much. I only have one criticism and that is I wish you would carry more items from companies who are made in America!

As always, Zappos' service is outstanding, I keep telling everyone about them! I'm a heavy guy, who's also had both knees replaced so cushioning & comfort are the most important to me! The Propet Village Walker are very good. The cushioning is outstanding and the boxier toe area provides more room (especially if you have bunions too, I'm a wreck!). I normally take a 12 wide, but they were actually a little sloppy, so as usual, Zappos took them back, no questions asked, and I got a regular size 12 and they fit great. Have worn them for a week now and they get more comfortable as they're worn; if I didn't have the bunions, they would have fit perfectly! They not the most "stylish" shoe, but at 55, I'm more interested in comfort than style! (Remember the movie Shawshank, "how often does anyone look at a man's shoe!") I would highly recommend these for all the bigs out there and to anyone who puts comfort first!

Good basic shoe - This is a staple shoe for me since I have wide feet and it doesn't have any contouring on the inside hit in the wrong places on my feet (your feet were made to walk barefoot on a flat surface why would I want to stand on something with lumps?). The only complaint I have with them is that the insole's wear out after about a year (wearing them 5+ days/week) and replacement insoles are not available. I'm on my 4th pair so it's not that much of a problem and I'm thinking about buying some leather and cutting my own replacement insoles...

Wow, super wide! My whole life I've looked for a comfortable shoe that's super wide, these are it! I've got a short, very wide foot with a huge instep and these fit great. The only downside I experienced was the stitching came out on the side after a few months. Very comfortable shoe.

Good shoe for price - First impression was that of a clunky looking shoe. It's comfortable enough to forgive the look over time. I ordered a Narrow size 12- closer to a D then a B but nothing a thick sock can't fix. Holds my heel well and does not wrinkle much when laced snug. No arch support to speak of but that works with my flat feet. Very well made, nice stitching, leather, insole etc. Cheaper than the Clarks I'm used to wearing, and just as comfortable. Buying from Zappos was , as always, a pleasure.

Not as nice as the mids, but still good - I also bought the mids in this model, which seemed truer to size and width. This shoe was still more comfortable than 90% of the shoes I've owned in my life. Love em...but like the mids a bit better.

Very comfortable walking shoe but felt a little big - I purchased this shoe to wear on my recent vacation where I knew there would be a lot of walking. It was a very comfortable shoe but somewhat more "loose fiting" then what I expected (same length/width that I normally order), so there was some degree of foot movement within the show that caused a little "rubbing" that almost formed a blister after a while (there was A LOT of walking during the trip). As far as looks, this show is a bit on the "chunky" side (definitely an "outdoor" type of shoe), but that is probably in part due to what appears to be very durable construction.

Propet's Village Walker - For now, I am extremely satisfied with the Propet Village Walker. I reserve final judgment until I water them for a while and see how they hold up.

Good Walking Shoe at a Good Price - I was looking for a very comfortable walking shoe that would stand up to a full day of walking, kneeling, standing, and driving. My skate shoes don't hold up all day. This was my first pair of Propet and I was very pleased. They are feather light, provide good arch support, and look good with denim or khakis. I'd recommend them for folks who spend all day on their feet.

The shoes are very comfortable and I really enjoy shopping with Zappo's. My foot is hard to fit and with most other companies I pay the shipping but with Zappo's if they don't fit just ship them back at no charge. Great way to do business, please keep it up.

Comfortable right out of the box- Not the most stylish shoe, but not bad. The texture is a bit funky, but comfort is a much bigger issue and my husband was happy with this shoe right away because it felt good. He's on his feet a lot and works very long days so the light weight is helpful too.

John's Walker- Shoe is very comfortable. Size seems to run slightly short (I normally wear 10 1/2, which I had to return for an 11.)

Great Shoe - Very comfortable shoe. I virtually wore them right out of the box. No "break-in" period was required. Sizing seemed right on the money. Great cost too.

Seems a little long, may need insole for long term wear.

Propet Village Walker - I recently purchased the Propet Village Walker for my husband. This is the second time we bought these shoes, but the first time from Zappos.com. I had some trepidation ordering from an Internet company, but it was fine. The service was excellent,the shoes arrived when promised, and they were very comfortable.

Great shoe and Great service - I bought this shoe for my father, he has problems with bone spurs on his foot causing it to be extra wide. He would never buy a shoe that cost more than $20.00 but absolutly loves this shoe. He know can walk comfortably and doesnt feel like his feet are being squished. The service is also great, I will deffinatly be buying my next pair of shoes here, and have recommended this place to all my friends.

Propet's Village Walker - I walk a lot during my daily commute (from my car to the train, several blocks from the train to the bus, from the bus up five flights of stairs and then several blocks to the shuttle), and my feet were hurting from time to time perhaps from the stylish slip-ons I've been wearing (and wearing out). I was looking for a really comfortable walking shoe styled to wear with a suit. It's a nice-enough-looking shoe, but it's obviously not a dress shoe, so I gave it 3 stars for looks on an absolute scale. It is, however, one of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. It's definitely in the same league as the much more expensive Clark's shoe which I also have. I just got them, so I don't know if they'll wear as well as the Clark's shoe, but with all the walking I do, they're a delight to walk in. Incidentally, the Clark's size 11 Medium is virtually the same size as the Propet 11 1/2 X (which = 3E)

Good shoes - Great pair of shoes. This is my second pair and sill more thelikely buy anothr pair when needed. Good price for good quality shoe

Good work shoe - I work as a surgeon and am on my feet long hours. I also have a narrow foot B width. These shoes fit well and appear to be well made. I did add a thin arch support, but I would buy these again.

I was surprised that this shoe was so comfortable. I took a risk since I couldn't find a 6E in my size to get this 5E. I know its a short term shoe as the width will be come an issue as the shoe ages. I was down to one pair for shoes that were falling apart. I like the style more when I got the shoe than the picture online. Let me know if your gonna make 6Es cause I will be back to get another pair.

I have the same shoe from Propet, still in the box, purchased 3 years ago. This new shoe is NOT the same size. I measured both. I believe the manufacturer in China is shaving dimensions to increase profits - many Chinese factories are guilty of this. It is unfair and a true shame. Greed.

These shoes worked well to help relieve metatarsal pain. I bought a 5e which gives room for my feet when they were swelling. The swelling is gone and now sometimes I wear 2 pairs of socks as now the shoes are a bit too wide. The insides of the pair I bought started to fall apart after I began walking on non-paved hilly trails.

Comfort was not there.
