I am extremely unhappy with this purchase/shoe. The shoe is terrible and extremely uncomfortable. The leather is super stiff and I developed sores on the back of my heel from this shoe after walking in them for half a day (I went home and grabbed my Sperrys at lunch). Also, the bottom of the show has NO GRIP at all. If you are walking on a tile, wood, or any other smooth surface, walk very carefully because these shoes have the opposite of "grip", instead the soles provide a very slippery walking experience. I went from a pair of Sperry penny loafers that I loved but they got to old and worn out and I decided to try Sebago after reading good reviews online, BIG MISTAKE. This cost down the drain.

Poor sizing on A width - I wear a men’s 9-A so it's hard for me to find shoes. I ordered this in black and even for an A it was too narrow. My guess is that it was mis-labeled and is an AA but I don't know. I've worn it around the house for five or six hours hoping to stretch them out. I even bought thin nylon socks. No joy. I doubt I can return them as they are obviously not in 'as new' condition after 6 or so hours of wear. Quality looked good. I'll donate them to a clothing drive or something.

Excellent classic loafer. This is my "standard" shoe.

Of 6 pairs of tassel/loafer style shoes ordered recently, only this pair fit very well. BUT after wearing them several days they began to SQUEAK. I felt that I could not return them as they were "not in original condition" so I am glad to get the opportunity to voice my feelings about them. It is difficult to find narrow widths in size 12 in this style. And I was disappointed when they started to squeak.

I'm not quite sure how to rate these. Beautiful shoes, but if your foot is even the slightest bit wide, you need the 'E' width. It was unavailable in my size and I couldn't get my foot more than halfway in. Make sure you nail your size and you'll most likely be happy here.

The stitching tore! I can't believe it. After maybe 3 weeks of occasional wear, the top stitching on the right shoe tore.

One shoe too small - Left shoe fit although it was tight but the right shoe would not go on after multiple attempts. I measured the opening and the right shoe was one half an inch smaller. I have previously purchased the same shoe and they both fit perfectly. What is the problem? The first pair were made in the USA. This last pair does not indicate where they were made ... I have not yet returned them but they are on their way.
