Way too narrow. I ordered three pairs of the same size and width; two (black and brown) are painful (almost impossible to walk in), and one was ok (cordo). Recommending ordering a size up in length and width.

Quality was just what I had hoped for. Excellent. My normal size is 11 1/2 E, ordered that, what I got was marked 11 1/2 E, but fit what I think is about a 12 1/2 E.

This Sebago finally came back in stock and we immediately ordered it to replace the D size that was too narrow, even though the last pair that my husband had was in the D size. So overall I would say they run more narrow than they have in years past. Great shoe with leather soles!

very nice shoe but was so small my husband could not get his foot into it all. thanks zappos for making it so easy to return

Yes, the leather is a bit stiffer than 'slipper shoes' but they are comfortable, hold my feet properly, and shine up beautifully. The 12 W is slightly narrower than I expected but fit well with summer-weight socks.

Shoes are too tight. I ordered a pair of Cole Haan shoes, same size and style (9-1/2D penny loafers) in a different color and they fit fine. I have been a 9-1/2 D entire adult life, these shoes are too narrow. Should have ordered at least an E. Also, these have an odd dull finish on them. If they had been right size, I might have tried putting some polish on them. As it is, I will order the cordovan color from Cole Haan.

I agree with the review that said that Sebago's quality has suffered. I replaced a good pair with a new pair and the new shoes were always stiff with a slight squeak when I walked. Just as they were about broken in, the leather ripped where they are stitched near the toes. They were only worn for business. I never had seen leather rip there before. I doubt that I'll buy Sebago loafers again.

This is the best of on-line shopping. I had to return the first pair I received because of a fit problem and the second pair was just right. There was no problem at all returning the first pair.

Shoe looks great. Called to check on widths before purchasing. I ordered the normal width, but shoe is too tight to wear. If you have an arch, these will be difficult to put on.

I work in sales and have worn loafers for 28 years. I used to be able to buy these locally u til about five years ago. I tried some other brands but was never as satisfied. When I found them on Zappos, I was cautiously optimistic but realized that they might not be the same quality that I was used to. I am happy to say that they are just like I remembered and expect these to last me a long time.

Needs some breaking in, but immediately as I slipped my foot in, I knew that this was the penny loafer I had been searching for (for years.) They will break-in, and I will wear them to the ground, and order some more pairs in brown or cognac or whatever.

This is a beautiful shoe, but did not fit me. Also, it is very stiff. I am returning it for a similar style in a different brand.

I started using Sebago shoes during my high school days (70's),upto the present, may i suggest that u should bring back the sebago classic with stitched in front of the shoe,that was the original classic i've been looking for....

I am extremely unhappy with this purchase/shoe. The shoe is terrible and extremely uncomfortable. The leather is super stiff and I developed sores on the back of my heel from this shoe after walking in them for half a day (I went home and grabbed my Sperrys at lunch). Also, the bottom of the show has NO GRIP at all. If you are walking on a tile, wood, or any other smooth surface, walk very carefully because these shoes have the opposite of "grip", instead the soles provide a very slippery walking experience. I went from a pair of Sperry penny loafers that I loved but they got to old and worn out and I decided to try Sebago after reading good reviews online, BIG MISTAKE. This cost down the drain.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He is very hard on shoes, and wears a 12 D, so it's difficult to get a good fit. He is really happy with these shoes - took a couple of days to break in, but he wears them daily and said they're comfortable. We were not familiar with the brand, but the quality seems very good for that price point. I would definitely buy this brand again.

Great classic shoes! My husband wears them quite often and would wear them every day, if he didn't have other loafers and shoes from Zappos! The best customer service ever!

Nice looking shoe. Back a few years ago I was wearing this shoe and promised myself I would not get another pair when I learned they took their manufacturing off shore. I did give them another try last week, but the shoes were too narrow. Over many years of wearing this style shoe, I always wear the same size, but these just didn't fit. They were actually painful across the bridge of the foot. I had to return them and will go back to another maker. Zappos is always a pleasure to work with. I have not had to go to the mall for a pair of shoes in years.

This is a beautiful shoe. It is so comfotable and well constructed. I have narrow feet and I hesitate to purchase shoes on line but Zappos has never failed me!

Great shoes - been wearing Sebagos for 25 years. Not sure if they changed the design but had to go to E width versus D. Zappos return process was easy breezy

These hoes are very comfortable and very stylish. I wear them everyday for work. And Zappos, like always, I was very satisfied with your fast service. It is like buying at the store because I really did not have to wait that long for the shoes after I bought them, and it was even better because there are more types, and brands, all in one place. Great shoe, true size. Have been wearing this shoe for years...the shoe is tight when you first wear it...use shoe horn and give it a few weeks. I like it best with vibram rubber sole. Very comfortable and not as slick as the leather sole.

Sebago quality has declined. Inconsistent size, faulty or crooked stitching and thin leather compared to same shoe purchased 6 years ago. Sadly, I will no longer purchase Sebago products.

I have owned and have worn out a pair of this exact same shoe on the inside by re-soling them 3 or 4 times. I found this new pair in the same size a little long for me and the leather sole was not very flexible. I will re-order a pair with thinner leather soles.
