Not sure if the quality is the same as when I bought mine, but I bought this exact style when I was about 13. I've worn them for 20 yrs. They are a bit stiff at first, but once you're past the break-in period, you'd feel comfortable running 5 miles in them. They only require a good polish every so often to make them look brand new again.

I've had the Lexington Cap Toe Oxford in Burgundy for 14 years. These shoes are built to last. I wore them just a few times per year the first 9 years. The past five years I've worn them daily for a few months at a time (depending on the dress requirements for my job). About to have them re-soled for the second time. The interior leather linings and footbed hold up remarkably well. Inside, only the toe area has even begun to show signs of wear. The interior back of the heal area holds up especially well; usually that's the first place on my shoes to wear out; but with these it's still basically as good as new. You just need to put a good pair of shoe trees in them when you take them off, and shine up the outside with Florsheim shoe creme every now and then, and they seem to last forever. I've walked 2-4 miles at a time in them (on city sidewalks) and find they are quite comfortable. They go great with a suit or dress pants, and look best with straight/ladder lacing style. The single perforated line across the toe cap makes them just a little fancier than a simple cap toe, but not as over-the-top as a wingtip shoe. Got a nice compliment on them when they were ten years old, and another the other day at 14 years (which inspired me to finally write a review).

Very nice looking shoe. Only, I believe it's due to the material, it creases noticeably. I do maintenance my shoes, so its no biggie.
