Simple, cute, and comfortable - Excellent shoe and excellent service from Zappos. I purchased these as a replacement for my Chuck Taylors and am very pleased with them. I purchased the navy which is a little lighter than expected, but a bit more retro, which I like.

Old dood loves his Vans - I wore Vans almost exclusively in high school (mid-80's). Yeah, I'm getting old. I skated and rode BMX back in the day and always had Vans on my feet. I had dozens of pairs of slip-ons, high tops, and "Eras". I was definitely stoked to see Vans making the retro shoes. I'm currently sporting a pair of solid black "Eras" and couldn't be happier. My daughter wanted to know why I was rocking "cool" shoes. She was mortified when I told her I was wearing the same shoes when I was a little older than she is now. Good time.

Cute kicks - I love my new Vans! I used to have the chunkier skate shoe when I was a teeny-bopper, but the sleeker style of this shoe is much better suited to my twenties. There was virtually no breaking-in needed on these shoes; they were comfortable right away. The sole is slightly cushy. They are cute with jeans, some skirts, and shorts.

This shoe isn't too bad. It lasted for about a year for me, but I don't skateboard or anything - I just like the style. I'd recommend it to anyone to be honest. Vans are great shoes.

Chillest shoe...EVER - I've had a few pairs of these Authentic/Deck shoes. They are the plainest shoes but look real cool. I actually think their comfort is a lot better than similar shoes, say Chuck Taylors, even the heel. I also like them because they can pass as 'dress shoes.'

Great Kicks - I ordered these awhile ago, after someone stole the pair I had in navy about a year ago. Really a great sneaker, except that you may double over in pain after several hours from wearing these guys. The inside surface that wraps around the ankle may produce a cut or burn-like injury from the friction. So...no calluses on your ankles? Make sure to wear thick socks or a band-aid there. Overall a great shoe though! Great look, true to fit. One of my worries when I first got these was that the sole on them was too thick. The picture makes the sole look a little bigger than it actually is. So no worries. You should have these kicks for quite sometime. Great product from Vans!

A classic, cool shoe. The only drawback about these shoes (and other canvas shoes with a low heel) is that they have a tendency to rub your heel and this hurts. I think the key here is the socks. Plain white socks don't cut it. I tried socks with a cushy heel and toe (runner's socks or "performance" socks) and they really did the trick. Immediately, the shoe was much more comfortable. Granted, this will slightly alter the fit; if the shoe is slightly too big with a normal sock, it will probably fit just right with the "cushy" sock.

BEST skate/chill shoe EVER - For spring/summer, I was looking for a good shoe to chill and skate in and these vans are incredible. Pretty comfortable, although the straight canvas gives little support or true shoe comfort or padding, but in terms of a canvas skate shoe, it’s the best on the market. I recently also purchased THE LACED TYE-DYE Emerica's, which are cool but not nearly as good for skating--Vans has the best rubber grip soles--or as comfortable canvas wise. ALSO, Zappos got me the shoes the NEXT DAY. I heart Zappos. Forever.

Vans - Great shoes! With the lace up shoes your feet don't slip out as much as the regular no lace vans.

Black on Black - I ordered the black on black for my son and he loves them. Zappos was the only place we could find this style in his size. I love ordering from home...

The greatest classic - I am very happy with the shoe. I am glad that I own a pair of this great classic shoe. Nothing beats the clean look and greaat deep color of the Van Core Classic. I will be getting more because they go great with jeans and shorts.

Same old school shoes. Owned vans over the years... and they are the same today as they were years ago. Great, long lasting classics.

The shoe that ROCKS!!! My son and I have been wearing vans for over 20 years. There is no other shoe like it. The fit is so comfortable. It'a like walking around in slippers. Vans have all the colors you want and in tons of diferent styles. My son and I wear the low top classic old school Van.
