A CLassic - The Stacy Adam's Madisons are cut a little narrow, but are true to length. They are a classic look and study well made shoe.

Best Shoe I Have Ever Put My Foot In - I have worn these shoes in the oxford or boot style for about twenty five years. It is by far the best shoe I have ever worn. My Grandfather used to wear them. I did not know the brand and starting asking show stores if they know what I was talking about. I finally found them in a store in Pontiac, Michigan. I have been wearing them ever since. End of Story. Oh, I have them in black and brown. I even had a gray pair at one time. Great shoes. Please continue to offer them.

Stacy Adams Boot - My husband loves the boots! He requires a wide size and it fits perfectly. I will be ordering the boots in brown also!

Awesome Dress Boot - Exactly as advertised. Look, feel and fit great. I only made one adjustment, I bought some round dress shoe laces instead of the plain ones sent with the shoe. Otherwise they are pefect! Nice quality shoe for the price.

Stacy Adams Madison Boot - Wow. I placed my order on Tuesday and the shoes were here Thursday afternoon. Very pleased with Zappos. The shoes are great. I purchased a pair of black ones over a year ago and have been very pleased with them. Ordered the brown ones now and they fit and look great. I did change the laces to brown ones and will have the shoemaker dye the white stitching brown. These shoes are sometimes called "old mans comforts". I agree with the comfort part completely but I think any man who likes hightop shoes would like the Madison boots. Thanks Zappos.

Classic Styling, Good Quality, Affordable Price - I've been looking for a pair of boots styled like these for a long time. Found this Stacy Adams Madison Boot, and it had just the look I wanted. Checked around on pricing and found that Zappos was about as competitive as anyone else listing on the web. Ordered a pair and they got to me very quickly. These are classically styled boots that are very, very comfortable. I wanted them for casual wear. I was expecting that they would be more of a "work shoe" weight (thick) grade of leather. They are actually more along the line of a "dress shoe" (thin) grade of leather that appears to be of a fine quality. I can't say how they will hold-up over time, but they appear to be well made and nicely detailed as far as construction. Just a couple of points for you to consider. I wear a size 13EE In a 13EE, these boots seem just a bit long and a bit narrower than other style shoes I own. None the less, they still fit very well and are easy to wear for long periods of time. The only other comment is regarding the finish. I ordered them in brown, and they had a very shinny, polished look to them - almost like patent leather. I'm not found of extremely shinny footwear, and I bit of regular old shoe polish did the trick in toning-down the shine of these boots. These boots aren't cheap, but if they hold-up over time, they are worth the money. I would recommend them to anyone looking for classic styling, good quality, and a fair price.

real uptown shoes - I have two pairs..black and brown. when the soles wore out, I put on non-slip ones. Brown ones came with black soles and black laces...I liked the contrast. They shine up great and hold it. I wore them for three days strolling Michigan ave. in Chicago and four days in Las Vegas. Can't beat them for looks and comfort...

Puttin' on the Ritz or Eat Your Heart Out Gordon Gecko - These shoes have a kool kat zoot suit 'n spats appeal that classes up any suit or pair of dress slacks. Plus, after just a couple of days, the supple leather made them feel as good as any of my custom Italian shoes. Add silk socks and suspenders and you've got a Po-Mo Wall Street retro look that even Gordon Gecko would envy!

I ordered a set in brown. I have been very pleased with their comfort and style. I had a thin rubber cap put on the leather soles for better traction and to save the leather from moisture, I also replaced the laces with round ones. My wife thinks they are too old fashioned for me, however my cobbler and shoe shine man complimented me on my good taste.

Madison Boot - The Stacy Adams Madison boot was exactly what I wanted, and the quality is excellant; however, I think that the level of service from Zappos exceeds the quality of the boot. On all occassions that I have ordered from Zappos their service has been fantasic. In todays retail market, that is saying a lot.

A wonderful dress boot! I now own 3 pair (Black, Burgundy, Navy), all from Zappos, and these truly are wonderful boots. I have Arthritis and flat feet and these boots provide excellant ankle support.

Handsome dress boot - The quality of this boot is best reflected in it's fine fit and extreme comfort. I have had comments by others as to where they can get this good looking dress boot. Looks great with suspenders and a vest. I have seen Jeremy Brett wearing this boot when he plays Sherlock Holmes.

Real Boots - I've been lusting after Stacy Adams Madison boots for years. These are the real deal. Once your foot enters the boot and they are laced up, it feels as if a pair of hands are reaching up from below and grabbing your ankles and holding you down to the ground. Its a feeling of security I've never experienced in other footware. These boots are not for everyone. They are for the people who know classic style, with a flair for 19th century fashion. Style oozes out of them. The men who wear Madison boots are self-assured, confident and unfazed by fashion trends or by the youth who seem to dictate what we older gentlemen must wear to look current. Real boots for real men. Real comfortable. Real statement! What else can offer me all of these benefits and keep my feet safe?

Old Man comforts - I really like the shoe, however it could use more padding on sole which would make the shoe more comfortable.

HOW TO MAKE SHOELACES THAT DON'T BREAK - The Stacy Adams Madison boot is a great shoe but I need to know where I can find an elastic shoelace that does not break so easy like the shoelaces that are in the boot. That is a major concern for me because I have difficulty tieing the boot due to my disability. Please advise where I can purchase elastic shoelaces or have accessaries that would make it easier to accomadate me.

Stacy Adams Overview - I have benn wearing this shoe for many years. The reason being that I have not found any shoe that can beat it.

Pleased - I recently purchased a pair of Stacy Adam's Madison boots and they are great. Zappos had them at my doorstep in three days! Overall the boots are excellent. They fit my feet like a pair of gloves. I had always seen them on others and admired the look.

The Madison Boot: classic - This style has been around since the late 1880's for good reason: it looks good and provides ankle support and protection from inclement weather. This is good value for the money. I now have this boot in both brown and black. I will buy this again.
