I bought this shoes to serve as a 1904 US Army Style marching shoe, but it is totally comfortable and now wear it for everywhere and everyday. A wonderful shoe! It is the first shoe I have worn with an insert on the right foot that completely cures my plantar fascitis! No more pain? I think its the extra support of the high tops...remember in the old days people walked everywhere! I am hooked on this shoe, I also know other living history buffs that love it.

Stacey Adams really outdid themselves this time around! My wife bought this for me and i was flabbergasted by its exquisite design. I wanted to show it off at work the next day, so i did :-). Most of my comrades at work complimented my shoes one after the other...even women at the office started flirting with me saying things like "You look good in those shoes" and i simply replied thank you. In retrospect i have one regret..telling people about them! I own the Black and White pair but planned on getting the Brown, now i can not for to many people have heard about it and purchased it. A synopsis of this text is it is a great shoe and Stacey should provide a larger quantity of the Brown because There is a REALLY,REALLY,REALLY high demand for them. Thank you for your time and for the shoe, I wish great fortune be bestowed onto you.

Ok..I never write reviews on any website but Zappos just changed everything. The service is unmatched. Every time I order a boot they arrive early. I ordered this great looking, outstanding boot friday after work at 5:30. Im leaving for a trip thursday and was worried that the boot would not arrive. MONDAY MORNING at 9:00 the box is sitting on my desk at work. YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME ZAPPOS. NO one compares to Zappos with their customer service?shipping...NOBODY!!! Now I have these great boot for my trip Thank you Zappos...Also the boot runs big so order 1 size smaller than normal. I did this and the boot fits perfectly. I love the glossy look too!!!

What can I say...I needed a "dressy" boot for my fairly "upscale" outdoor wedding..in the snow :O)and I needed "lace ups" due to a foot condition I deal with..now that was a tough item to find without looking like a construction worker boot (which I already had).."but" when I found these boots I knew they were perfect!! They were in stock..shipped immediately..and I received them so quickly I could not believe it!!! Boots are true to size, high quality, instantly comfortable and I know I will wear them for years to come! THANK YOU ZAPPOS!!!

If you like the look of old man shoes, then these are for you. Even the laces are old time laces. The pair I bought was black, so now I need a brown pair. They are very comfortable after the first time I wore them. The leather was a little stiff the first time. I look particularly good in them with my blue stripe bib overalls, just like my grandfather.

This shoe/boot has been terrific for me. I was actually not looking for fancy but for comfort and support. I got what I wanted. I have trouble buying shoes that remain comfortable. When I get \'em, they might feel good for a while but then end up on the shelf. This boot was good out of the box and remains very comfortable.

Love these shoes. Fast break-in, as good with a suit as they are w/jeans. Wore them new on a week-long business trip spanning Tokyo by train, car and foot, with no complaints on comfort. The boot is a nice way to make a simple cap-toe look fashionably different.

My Favourite Shoes!!
I love retro styles, so when I found these boots, I was pretty excited. By from the first day I got them I LOVED how they felt. They quickly became my favourite shoes. I'm now considering getting a second pair in black. One important thing...find a good shoe repair place. They hold up great, but you will want to take extra good care of them, as you miss them when they are away from you too long. My guy cleans them, repairs them, moisturizes them, and really keeps them up to snuff. Everyone who sees them thinks they look super sharp and cool and they all ask where I got them. COMPLETE WINNERS!

A more comfortable boot I have not known, in timeless style and grace. I wear boots 90% of the time, broken only by chuck taylors, and I won't lie -- I've been quite impressed with how these fit and wear.

I purchased these boots as part of a fancy dress party I have to attend when I am in London later this month. They arrived quickly and fit very well. A bit tight but with the right sock they fit very snug without being too confining. Love the look and style of these.

The boots are beautiful. The fit is good and they breathe and flex well. However the heel is WAY too low, so I had an extension pout on....now they're perfect!

A comfortable shoe - not totally black -
The only thing I would point out to buyer is that on the black shoe, the top side of the leather sole that you see surrounding the toe when you look down on the shoe is not black. (Check out the top view). It is natural leather color and the stitching is white. So if you want a solid black shoe, this might not be a good choice. This feature is not as noticeable on the brown version. Still, this is a very comfortable and nice looking shoe.

Really nice boot. Like the lace up so that you can adjust the fit around your ankle. I did find they run about 1/2 size larger. I usually where a 10, but had to return it for a 9 1/2. Like them so much I bought a second pair.
