My first, but I hope not the last - This is the first pair of shoes I bought from Zappos, and it certainly will not be the last one. The boot has a great classy look, feels comfortable, sturdy and fits like a glove. It feels safe. What I like most about it is that being a lace-up it's much easier to put on and take off than other types of boots.

Extremely classic shoe; very comfortable and dressy.

Classically Styled boot - I usually wear between a 12E and 13D, depending on the brand. For some odd reason these just felt outrageously long, however, the return service is quite pleasant. I bought these boots because I enjoy the styling of oxfords, but I wanted something that seemed a little more casual. They also seem fairly sturdy, and yet they are light weight (weigh less than my cap toe oxfords). Only problems are that they squeak horrendously around the eyelets, but that will hopefully subside after they're broken in. Also the shoelaces are quite short, could barely tie a knot with them on.

Smooth operator - I have a condition that affects my lower calf muscles and I can't wear many dress shoes. Finding a shoe that is light enough, yet has the support of a high boot is extremely hard to find. I cannot say enough good things about this shoe. From the minute I dressed, it felt like an extension of my foot. It was light, but it didn't feel cheaply made. The boot has good support with a stylish design.

A title for your review - Very cool stuff but seriously think about ordering them one size wider than you normally would. I have very standard feet and never had to worry about width of my shoes but these ones are very on the minimum limit of it. Otherwise they're nice...

Great boots for my dad - My father has always worn Madison boots by Stacy Adams. Because he has a slight handicap in one leg, these boots fit him well. I panicked when I could not find a pair, until I looked at Zappos and found them. They are very comfortable for Daddy, and he wears them everywhere, even to church. I love the shine these boots give; reminds me of the old days when men wore spotless shining boots- and my Dad can really shine his Madison boots. The price was also quite reasonable, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Sweet... Sweet...Sweet!!! I have received my "Stacy Adams" Madison Boots, and they are overall absolutely a perfect & comfortable fit. I have only one word to rate this shoe -- "SWEET." I would recommend this Madison Boot for "Business Attire" & "Business Causal"... Once again -- "SWEET." There are no doubts or second doubts; the look & feel is conservative with a tasteful twist. Outstanding with timeless design and style - In the late 70's and early 80's, I wore Stacey Adams Madison Boots and could never understand why stores stopped carrying them. I continued to wear Stacey Adams, but my heart was always with the Madison Boot. I decided to go on line and much to my surprise, there they were. We were reunited. I bought to pairs, one black, one brown and I am very pleased. I have received lots of compliments. The leather is soft and the shoe is very comfortable. I was also impressed with Zappos customer service, the speed of delivery, and the ease of the website. All around high fives!!! Great job! Thanks

The only shoe for me - I have been wearing this shoe for quite a few years. Due to a handicap, its the only shoe that offers the support that’s needed for my drop foot. Not only does it offer the support but it’s always very stylish (Great shoe!)

Excellent shoe - I am very happy with the fit and comfort of this shoe. The only slight problem has been that the lace hooks have a tendency to pull out of the leather over time, and I eventually had all of them replaced with eyelets. Everything else on this dress boot has worn very well.

Excellent High Top - These fit my need for extra ankle support and a great looking shoe. I am a Pastor and have been proud to wear them while preaching...

Nice boots - I've sported a pair of engineers' boots for about the past 15 years and figured I was due for a change of style. These shoes were exactly what I was looking for - a gateway shoe, if you will, for the hardcore boot owner. Dressy enough to wear to a job interview, classy enough for a night on the town, and rugged enough that you don't feel like you've got to take them off before you change a tire. Great shoe, hope they keep making 'em.

Great shoe - I like the fit, finish and comfort. The shoe exceeded expectations. The only fault I can find is that the soles are prone to higher wear more than other shoes I have especially at the toe. Perhaps a composite type area at the toe would help.

Comfortable & stylish - Very comfortable boot, very stylish as well. What I like about them is the fact that it looks like a shoe when wearing dress pants, but when sitting or if the pants leg is raised, it reveals its true identity. They are very comfortable as well. I was a little concerned about the white stitching on the soles, but they look great (I have the brown boot). The only negative I can think of is that when you lace the upper part of the boot, you have to be careful not to over-tighten, which in turn causes the lace to "fall out" of the upper latches. I found if I lean my foot forward while lacing, it will keep the upper laces tight and in place.

Stacy Adams Madison Boot - Stacy Adams has been one of my favorite shoes for a number of years and the order was filled without delay. Color,size, and looks are quite favorable.

Unique ankle support. I've worn this shoe before, and it has not disappointed me. I was in need of a classic dress boot with ankle support. The Madison is just what I needed.

A good looking dress boot by all means! Got them the third day after I ordered them. At first the didn't look quite like they did on line but after getting several comments from other people, I let it go. as far as fit goes, after the leather loosened up and lost some of it's stiffness, they fit perfect. The only thing negative I have to say is the left one had a squeak in it but it went away after several days. Only problem I'm having now is keeping my oldest son away from them!

3rd pair of Madisons - I already had a pair of grey and brown madisons , however I could not find a pair of black boots with the style , comfort and cool of these dress boots.So now I have 3 pairs. I get lots of stares and compliments. Theses are the perfect boots for my suits which I wear everyday at work. Zappos delivery is so fast it is almost scary. love the boots and love Zappos. Thanks

Great classy shoe - Takes a while to break in, still breaking it in actually, looks great!

The only way to shop for me - Thank you for being there... This is the only way for me to shop for shoes. This gives me the opportunity to select from a huge source of both style and quality. The stores here in the Midwest leave much to be desired in the way of fashion. You are dictated to based on a buyers opinion what you will see in any particular chain of stores. Stacy Adams Madison Boot - We love this boot in the Theatre. It has a great period look and is reasonably priced.

Best Feeling and Longest Wearing - Bought my first pair at a local store over 25 years ago. Wore them for a good 15 years. - I had them half-soled so many times the shoe repairman finally said, "No more...there's nothing left to sew to!" - Have been looking for pair ever since. Glad to see Zappos has them. If you polish them regularly and well, and spit shine the toe cap, there's not a dress shoe made to compare with them. They are very comfortable as well...like putting an old, worn out pair of jeans on your feet.

The shoe of all time, I love this dress shoe because it's has the good support around the ankles and fill very comfortably to my feet.
