I usually wear a 11 1/2 normal width (D), but I have been having problems with neuropathy in my legs and edema swelling of my feet. I also just had major back surgery, so I am having trouble walking steadily. I ordered a size 12 E of these shoes and they fit perfectly. The velcro closures make adjusting tightness for foot swelling a breeze. The soles add cushioning and stability for walking.

Bought these for my 83 year old father. He liked the shoe because they were light and easy to put on since they were Velcro. Would definitely recommend.

Light, comfortable, easy to get on and off (I'm lazy!). Hopefully they will last.

I purchased these for my Dad who turned 100 earlier this year. He is still active and walks constantly around the retirement center. He wanted something with Velcro (shoes are difficult for him to tie) and these met the met that requirement. They are also nice enough to wear for a dress occasion and be comfortable. He has remarked over and over how comfortable the shoes are. It did take several tries to get the size right. He told me an 8 1/2 wide. I ordered that but it was snug. I then ordered him a 9 wide and an 8 1/2 extra wide which was perfect. Thanks Zappos for the wonderful return policy and the fast shipping. It makes it so easy rather than trying to get him from store to store and no luck with style or fit. These are great shoes and Zappos is the best.

Very nice looking shoes! They seem pretty comfortable for new shoes. The fit seems right. I thought I might not have ordered wide enough, but they seem fine...

I have a unique problem, as later in my life, we realized my left foot was a 11EW and my right foot a 10EW. Bad news is I have to pay for two pair to have a pair that fits right. Shoes are comfortable and fit just perfect, light but substantial!

Good choice for dressy-casual occasions. Much better looking than shoes with two hook-and-loop straps. Purchased for an 86-yr-old man who has edema, limited finger dexterity, and concerns about slipping. The shoe is light-weight, has comfortable padding around ankle, stable soles, and is surprisingly attractive. No complaints!

I have somewhat of a problem in that my left foot is a size 11 and my right foot is a size 10, both EW. The Gil by Hush Puppies are the only show that fits extremely comfortable for both feet. Of course my problem also is that I have to buy 2 pair and 2 are never used. Zappos service is as usual, OUTSTANDING!

Zappos - thanks . . . again . . . It is so wonderful to be able to shop for my elderly father without running all over town and coming home disappointed. He is so impressed and so happy with the shoes. Whew . . . something making me crazy is over and done. And it is well done!

Very nice looking shoes. Good quality and comfort. Bought these for someone who is elderly and needs shoes that are light, supportive, skid resistant and easy to put on. These shoes fit the bill.

These were purchased for an elderly gentleman with dexterity issues and were an instant hit. Easy to slip into and fasten. He leaves them on all day instead of changing into house slippers. A good sign. They don't look especially dorky either. Finally a shoe with good form and function.

Size I ordered felt a little tight. Customer Service was excellent in helping me exchange for a wider size with minimum of effort. No charge for ship, return, re ship.

Bought them for my 90 year old father. First pair (arrived next day!) too small, so returned for a bigger size (arrived next day!) and fit perfectly. Very comfortable.

I use this shoe to ease diabetic foot pain. I just bought my 2nd Tan pair. Quality construction. Light weight. Wears well. Very comfortable. Not expensive, especially with Zappos coupons. Velcro straps aren't "stylish" but they serve their purpose. I do add Dr.Scholl's inserts for added arch support for plantar fasciitis (heel spur).

Bought these for my husband who has every foot problem from a newknee to plantar fascitis. He loves them, feels they are adjustable and able to be on all day.

In the box labeled 7.5, I received a left shoe that was 7.5 and a right shoe that was a size 8.
