I got these boots in the chocolate vintage leather and they are absolutely gorgeous! I ordered an 8 originally but they felt loose so I exchanged them for a 7 1/2. The 7 1/2 was perfect on the left foot and somewhat snug on my right, however I can already feel the boots loosening up with each wear. I can tell the fit will be perfect after they are broken all the way in. I admit when I ordered them I was in disbelief that I spent so much on one pair of shoes. But believe me, once you get them you will see they are worth every penny! They smell as good as a brand new car when you take them out the box. I put them on immediately and didn't want to take them off. I am now officially a Frye girl!

I read many reviews before purchasing these boots. The recommendation to buy one half size down was extremely helpful. I LOVE these boots! They're comfortable, classy, and good with everything. I bought the Dark Brown Polished Stonewash. Not too worn out looking, and very stylish - even for this ol' gal. I've been coveting a pair of Frye's for almost a year, and finally took the plunge. So glad I did!

The best and most comfortable boots I've ever put on right out of the box! I've been eyeing these gorgeous boots for quite a while and finally made the plunge! Boy, am I glad I did :) They are beautifully made and feel/look like they will last a LIFETIME! They do run large, like most people have said, so I sized a half-size down and they fit perfectly. They are slightly narrow and the boot shaft isn't very wide, but that is just the style of the boot. Overall, AMAZING! Love these boots!

I am in love with these boots. I have looked at them for what seems like forever and finally pulled the trigger for my birthday. They were comfortable right out of the box. I absolutely love them.

These boots are awesome! My only recommendation is to order a half size smaller than you normally order. I have several pairs of Frye boots and all are a 6.5 but in these I had to return my 6.5 and get the 6.0. The 6.0s fit perfectly. Highly recommend these versatile boots!

I've owned these boots for three full years at this point and can safely say they are my favorite pair of shoes. I love that the toe isn't rounded like many other boot styles. I wear them year round. Comfortable enough for days of walking. I would probably buy a taller shaft if I were purchasing again, as I love these under boot cut jeans but not with skirts. They're as solid as they day they arrived.

Frye boots are one of the best fit. I own eleven pairs. I wore these out one night and had several people compliment on them. Love the color.

So worth the money and the wait. I have wanted a pair of rugged Frye boots for decades, but just could not bring myself to pay the money.Last month, I decided to treat myself. It was my combination birthday & Christmas gift to myself. First, so many people say to go a half-size down. Perhaps that is good advice for some, but I decided to go with my usual size: 8.5. The fit is just right. There is heel slippage, but a cowboy boot salesman told me that there should be a bit of that. It's not uncomfortable at all, and I hear that eventually the boots will mold to my foot and I won't notice it. I got the Dark Brown Old Town and it is exactly the color I wanted. I love the rough finish. I won't worry so much about scratches in the leather with these, though I did spray the boots with a protector before wearing them. They feel a bit clunky at first. It takes some getting used to, especially for someone who is used to lighter weight fashion boots. But they are getting more comfortable as time goes on. Wore them all day long one day last week, didn't even take them off until bed-time, and usually the first thing I do when I get home is kick off my shoes. I will wear these boots for the rest of my life. I have told my daughter, who is coveting them, not to worry. She is my shoe size. She will inherit these someday, and they will still look great. Don't hesitate if you really want these. They are worth the money.

These are the most comfortable pair of new boots I've ever worn. I get compliments on them all the time.They do run a little large. I love them!

These boots are awesome, they do run a little big which is odd for me since my feet are wide. But a thick pair of socks solves the problem. They are super well made and worth every penny!

I'm really happy with these boots. I ordered them in charcoal, I was worried that they would be too grey. They are a perfect shade of light black.

These boots are COOL. Very comfortable, outdoorsy yet sexy at the same time, AND Frye boots last FOREVER. I have a different pair that is 29 years old and they're still stylish, comfortable and cool. Can't go wrong with Frye's!

These boots are fabulous! I own them in both brown and black. Frye really makes quality boots that are built to last and these are no exception. I love the moto-inspired look of these boots that gives them a little edginess. They look really cute with skirts and dresses. They do run a little on the long side, so I would suggest ordering them a half size smaller than your normal size so the heels don't slip.

I ordered these boots in a size 6 and they fit perfect! I have been wanting these boots for a long time, I did a lot of research on these boots and I have to say I should have bought them years ago! Very beautiful boot and very well made, these boots are very comfortable! Will be getting another pair in a different color in the very near future!

I absolutely love these boots. I had to go down a half size but fortunately Zappos makes that super easy! They feel very stiff and tight when you first put them on but after a week or two of wear they are amazing!

I wear an 8 1/2 in shoes and the 8 1/2s in these fit perfectly. These boots look badass with jeans, but I also wore them with black leggings and a black sweater, and it looked very upscale weekend-ish, so very versatile. Absolute love!

OMG! I am totally in love with these boots! I had a pair of Frye's when I was a kid. These have the broken in look. :) I love that they are made in America too. I slept with them on the first night!

Buying this boot was an investment purchase for me. With that said I have donated all of my other boots with the exception of a nice pair of Cowboy boots:) I did read the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size smaller. NOTE: my calves are not model 'skinny' so I did have to order several pair to get the right fit (not to snug they go mid calf). The shafts did vary in diameter (yes I measured them). The trial and error to get just the right fit was well worth it and made easier by Zappos excellent customer service. I am very pleased with them and have recieved many compliments on the style. Also I recommend buying the Frye oil to treat the leather don't panic they will initially look DARKER but the original color returns *mine are Smoke Old Town.

I love these boots! This was my first pair of Fryes and my favorite to date. The Smoke Old Town color is a perfect neutral brown and the leather feels heavy and durable yet soft to the touch. In shoes I am usually between a 9½ and 10; I ordered a 9½ in these and they fit perfectly, even if my socks are a little bit thicker. I have wider feet so the squared toe makes these very comfortable in comparison to other boots. I also have a high instep, so they take a little tugging to get on at first, but they really do loosen up after only a few wears. Everything about the sole feels well-made, too. The outsole is a thicker rubber with decent traction, and the heel feels solid and give the boot a heavier feel. All in all a great pair of boots that seems worth the money.

This are this best boots I've ever owned and my favorite. I've had them since 2005 and they only get better with time.

I absolutely love these boots. I have had them for two years. I wear them year round with shorts and skirts/dresses in the summer and skinny jeans, regular jeans or whatever in the other seasons. They are super cute and comfortable. I wear a 7 or 7½ in most shoes though occasionally a 6½. I got these in a 7 and they slipped some when I first got them and were snug across the top of my foot. I have average to slightly narrow feet and 13¾" calves. Overtime the boots have gotten much looser and almost sloppy loose but in the winter I still can comfortably wear thick, cozy socks. They have never rubbed blisters or hurt my feet, even after walking miles and miles in them in one day (on multiple occasions). Sometimes I have to force myself to wear other shoes. I think they look better now than when I bought them. After two years of heavy usage, there is only slight wear on the outer back edge of the heels from the way I walk. They are well worth the money! I just purchased another pair of different Frye boots so now I will have two to alternate between.

I love, love, love them! I finally splurged after looking at these Frye boots for years. I have seen girls wear them and always wanted a pair. So, I bought a pair in black and brown, and plan to have them forever, so I don't regret it a bit! The more I wear them the better they get!

I received my Frye Harness 12R Color: Smoke Old Town in 8.5 size boots today. I like them so very much and plan to order another pair. I had a shady start with the first order (the Dark Brown Polished Stonewash Frye Harness 12R). They were so irregular in size and in color. The picture shows the boots to be a dark chocolate brown and polish. I know that color can be off online, but this was not even close. I return three pairs before I got a home run. Now this pair, the Smoke Old Town--Frye Harness 12R, they are identical to the picture online. I am so glad I didn't give up and decided to give it one more try. These boots are a beautiful rich brown. The size is true to size and I know that they are going to be very comfortable. I tried them on and they fit great. What I notice on most of the reviews is that not many mention which boot they are writing about. With all this said I am so happy with my boots!

Love these boots. Super comfortable right away. They wear well and they last. My first pair is now >10 years old and I still wear them...just wanted to refresh.
