These boots are amazing! I have wide feet, and the square toe gives my feet plenty of room without making them look long. The leather is tough and gorgeous, feel like I could trek through muddy puddles and they look great with skinny jeans and dresses. Love!

I bought this pair after two other frye boots and a pair of pumps. I read a lot of reviews before making the purchase. my previous frye boots were true to size (7) and despite a lot of other reviews that recommended a half size smaller, I purchases size 7 and in Tan. the color is close to the picture, and I would say even prettier. I had a tough time getting my feet in, and once in there was a good amount of slippage. I wore the boots in the house (and was recommended by other reviewers) for a couple of hours for two days and then was able to get my feet in with a normal weight (not too thick or thin) socks on-and walked in them (in the house) for another day before I finally decided that this the right size for me. I wore them out last night and my feet felt fully comfortable in them. These boots, as others have mentioned, are so comfortable that I can imagine that they become my everyday boots/shoes. I love the color, and the feel of these boots-they are pretty and stylish. As a final note, I have a medium size (not too wide or narrow) feet and my calves are on rather small/thin. there is plenty of space for my skinny jeans to get tucked in the boots.

I ordered the smoke color but they arrived in grey, think they were in wrong box. Ordered in size 7.5, but no problem with Zappos, promptly exchanged for correct color & I sized down half a size. Arrived in 24 hours! Amazing. They were a little narrow so I reordered again in a 7.5 & this pair fit fabulous, nothing like the 7.5 in the grey which felt more like a size 8. Finally got the perfect pair & I love them & there is no company as fantastic as Zappos! Not sure if my UPS man thinks so. I will continue to shop at Zappos, they still continue to amaze me & I'm always encouraging people to shop with them.

These are great boot that are very well made with supple leather. I am usually a size 7½ (8 in some boots) I first ordered the harness 12R in size 7 because after reading the reviews I realized that they ran large. Once I got the 7 I thought they fit pretty well but my heel lifted up way too much, a little bit is normal but this was too much heel lift - I could not run in the boots so I returned them and tried the 6½ on at a store. That fits much better. There is a little heel slippage which is good and of course the front is very tight but will break in and become very comfortable. I must add that they are hard to get on but that changes over time. I was shocked at how large they run - I went a whole size and a half down from 7½-8 to a 6½. I would recommend going down a whole size.

Fabulous color! Love these boots! I normally wear an 8 in Frye but the 7 1/2 fit better in this style. A more narrow type fit across the toe I think due to style, so probably not for a wide foot. A break in period is recommended - so I haven't taken them off! Great boot!

I've had these boots for 5 years and I have worn them out to the desert, Black Rock City Burning Man 3 years in a row...in the snow in NE winters and all over South Florida and the Caribbean with skirts, jeans, shorts...you name it. The most gorgeous pair of boots I have ever owned. I adored them. I have had 100's of people ask me about these boots. I was traveling this year and some how one boot went missing. I'm buying a new pair right now! That doesn't change how I feel about the loss. I was absolutely devastated. I loved how they fit and felt when I wore them. I'm 5'8" and the boot was perfect height on my legs. Once they were broken in and worn from use they looked even more gorgeous. I kept the one stray boot! How crazy is that?! Buy a pair you will have them for life...if you don't lose one.

I bought these as a gift for my daughter. Having read all the positive reviews, I was sure that she would like them. She did but, they do not fit. She has problems with her feet and the boots were painful for her. No fault with the boots, just her bad feet.

I have been watching these boots over the years, and talking myself out of paying the cost. I'm so glad I decided to break down and buy them! They are my favorite boots! And so worth the cost. I did order 1/2 size down, as the reviews suggested and they fit perfect. This color is a good rugged brown that can go with brown or black. And, they are not too wide in the calf (I have small calves). These are well worth the money! I will have these for years!

These are amazing! I ordered them and got these beauties in 2 days. The leather is Top notch quality. The soles, heel, stitching and harness are amazing. I have an arthritic heel, as a result from two (old) sprains. I wasn't sure if my ankle would make it through the boot without a zipper but with the help of the pull tabs, my feet went right in! I wear a 9 shoe and usually get a size 9 1/2 boot and ordered these in a 9 1/2. They are perfect! A little room in the toe and the heel doesn't slip and slide. A wonderful addition to my Frye collection!

LOVE! Worth every penny. First pair arrived and the appearance of the boots did not match. I called and within 24 hours a new pair were at my door! It did not take long to break in the leather. I have to force myself to wear other shoes because I want to wear these every day!

My feet have been a size 10 forever. I was worried when the majority of the other reviews said order 1/2 size down. I bought the 10, and can see if I were to go barefoot, or only use slim socks how that would be appropriate. However I constantly wear thick wool socks, so the 10 was perfect. My heel did slip, but now is hugged by where the leather conformed. I love these books, and highly recommend them. I took away one star in comfort because after walking around a city all day I decided that insoles would be necessary.

Saw these boots on my friend's girlfriend a few years ago...thought they looked very rugged and manly but recently fell in love with them after seeing them so much, and reading all the reviews. I've been looking for a moto/biker boot but I also have a countryside so I decided the Frye harness 12r was both of those styles. Can't wait to wear them with my black tights and skinny jeans. I ordered them in Charcoal last night and they arrived at my doorstep today. Zappos is truly amazing. The boots were 100% as shown on the Original Frye website. Although I will say the charcoal is a lighter black ( it is not grey, and is almost black) which I love, considering the black was a little too black for my lighter more spring/summer outfits. The quality as mentioned in the 1,000 other reviews is SUPERB. Very sturdy, polished leather, and sexy. As for size I am usually a 7.5. I own a pair of Vince Camuto boots size 8 but for the most part I am always 7.5. ordered the 7 and wiggled my foot in . I have narrow feet compared to most and have to say it is very tight. I can see how anyone with wide feet would be very uncomfortable but I am convinced they will stretch. I love these boots so much that if I had wide feet I would put a stretch block in there and make it work. Just some advice. I am experiencing a very dramatic heel slip...a little concerned about it not sure if I should order a 6.5. Another review mentioned the heel slip and said it will lessen over time when it breaks in but I'm not so sure. All in all these boots are fabulous...expensive but I can see why. I live in New England and plan on wearing these in the snow, mud, sand, rain, and of course out on the town because they are so fabulous.

The absolute best boots out there. Comfortable and fashionable. I get compliments whenever I wear them. No break in period required.

For dress and skirt lovers! The Frye Harness 12R in dark brown polished stonewash (a deep chestnut) has completed my boot collection for all time. Ladies of a certain age (I am 55), this review is for you. I had figured out how to look nightime-sleek and also how to dress down my wrap and sheath dresses for everyday, but I had had trouble figuring out what boots to wear for an everyday look with the "fit-and-flare" silhouette: ie, fitted bodice (or cardigan) and flirty flare skirt/dress that hangs just below the knees. This looks stumpy with tall riding boots, and tends to be look top-heavy with ankle-booties. Enter the Frye Harness 12R to bring this "fit-and-flare" outfit into perfect proportion! I also tried them with an olive cargo skirt that hangs just below the knee: again, perfect. As for sizing, I am a true size 8½ and they fit me perfectly in that size. This is my sixth pair of Frye boots and they all fit true to size for me: I have never been able to understand all the commotion about sizes on other people's reviews. They are comfortable right out of the box and the soles are built for a lifetime of city wear. Wish that I had bought these boots years ago - these are what was always missing! I will wear these boots for years to come.
