very disappointed. The shoe did not fit as it used to. Toe is not as wide and just did not feel the same. I don't understand why the need to change things.

Been wearing the 928 since 2006. Was a great shoe but the v2 and 3 models are terrible. The support of the 928 is gone. The shoe hurts across the top of the ankle. Tongues are way too short. Will not buy again.

Always bought NB and loved every pair UNTIL they came out with the 928v3. I literally hate these shoes. Still wearing the 928 that are ratty. 928v3 sitting has been iin my closet over 3 years. I feel like I'm walking on the bare ground. Don't get this shoe. Nothing like the past ones.

Please bring back the old 928. The new model is cheap construction and the fit is off. Runs large. The "leather" wrinkles when tied. Overall construction is terrible. Cheaply made. I continue to wear my older models. Please bring the original back.

Version 3 does not fit the same as Version 2 did. Very disappointing. Little or no arch support. Long in the toe area.

They attempted to improve Version 2. Instead, they ruined it. I ordered the same size I've worn for years. They're too long in the toe. They do NOT offer the same arch support. Sad & disappointed.
I'd also recommend:
A few websutes still offer 928 Version 2. Hurry while they last !

These shoes are unwearable and I immediately returned them. The problem is that the tongue is much narrower and 1-1/2" shorter than my 928V2's. The narrower tongue exposes the area where the laces go through the eyelets and the laces rub directly against the top of your foot. The absurdly short tongue immediately creeps down past the top crossed laces and the laces rub the top of your foot. What was NB thinking!?

Unfortunately as some have mentioned above, the toe box is still not as wide as the original 928 and for that reason it is. Is no longer an option for me as I am already wearing a 6E width. You would think people would be smart enough at NB to realize that in the 6E widths we want as wide a sneaker as we can get. If they are going to get cute and modify the front for appearance sake than offer us a 7E or 8E width...

Just got the new version 928v3. Not happy that I can't get an all leather in white with no blue trim. This is the only shoe that I can wear. The original 926, 927 and 928 were all white and had a wide toe box. I see that others have the same request. PLEASE change the 928 back to original version.

These shoes do not have the support, control, or shock resistance of the original 928......please bring them back.....you can even feel how much lighter they are when you pick them up.....928 is the only shoe I can wear without having cramps and spasms in my legs....now I don't even have those to wear....please do something NB!!!!

I have bought the original 928 for many years. I recently ordered what I thought was the original and got the V2 and it was horrible; poor quality, made in Vietnam, narrow toe box, poor materials, cheap inserts. What has happened to New Balance. No more for me. Sad a great company sold its soul.

Why? This shoe is narrow in the tie box, no good support in the ankles and the sole us paper thin...I will not buy this shoe again, and I have bought this shoe for many years!

Once again, I'm so disappointed in New Balance. The brand new 928v3 has a larger toe box, but the sneaker feels like you're wearing a shoe made of hard steel. I lasted 5 minutes in it before I felt like my feet were screaming "take these off"! Except for the wider toe box, this new version feels EXACTLY like the 928v2.

I wrote a review over a week ago, I guess you only post "good" reviews on your shoes. We'll see if you bother to post this one. Bring back the original, the changes you've made are awful. Never tried the V2, but the V3 is NOT up to par with what the V1 was. If you REALLY listen to your customers, go back to the best version. This one is not as wide, the tongue isn't long enough, and there's not as much ankle support. Change isn't always a good thing. Bring back the one that works. Then, I might buy your product again.

The 928 v3 is much narrower than the v1 and the depth of the shoe at the heel is shallower. The s shoe, like the v2, are a sorry replacement for the original 928. I have 4 pair of 928v1 in my closet and love them. Please bring back these original shoes. I am returning the v3.

These shoes run a little short but the width seemed about correct. The style looks like an octogenarian orthopedic shoe. They have been returned.
