They hurt my feet and have lumps in the shoes that put pressure on areas of my feet that need otherwise. I bought these on the recommendation of my podiatrist. I use them for walks outside.

I have worn New Balance shoes for over 25 years, and am deeply disappointed that this pair--although the exact same size and model as those I purchased in 2020--are slightly larger and therefore, slip!

I returned these shoes, 928V3, and ordered the 626K2, which are a much better fit for my feet. I have been wearing these for a few years and it was not wise to try something a bit different.

I had to go down a size, they have an enormous toe box and a very hard heel. I am going to have to buy inserts in order to wear them. The outside strip of 'leather' cuts right across the big toe joint.
Not thrilled.

I own the Grey Leather 928v3. Love them, they fit perfectly. So I decided to order the Navy/Grey Suede. Put them on and immediately felt pain under my ankle bone. I wondered if the Navy 928 was cut taller under the ankle bone than my Grey Leather pair, so I measured and compared and they are. The Navy is at least 1/4 inch or more taller under the ankle -- putting pressure on that sensitive area that feels like a rock cutting into my tendon with every step. What a disappointment. Why can't New Balance keep their sizing consistent in the SAME model shoe? There is some real quality control lacking. I don't know where the Navy 928 is made, maybe a different manufacturing facility in another country. But this will keep me from buying any more of these shoes in different colors since I can only count on the Grey Leather ones fitting properly and comfortably.

I don't know what is the deal they never hurt before. Last time the same thing happened to me. They are the only shoe that helps me, but when I first open them up it hurts for awhile. I love them after that. I have been wearing them for 20 years! thank you New Balance.

Real leather and almost paid full price but I couldn't be happier. These shoes are truly worth the investment. I checked what shoes would fit my supportive needs and the New Balance store assistant was spot on model to recommend. I followed his advice and purchased my first pair with the store and re-ordered all additional pairs online. Make sure you know what your buying and check with a knowledgeable professional to make sure all features have been considered. They may show a new feature which may benefit you.

This is my 4th pair and 2nd pair of 928v3. After 15 hrs on this pair, i apparently damaged my upper ankle and couldn't put weight on foot for days. I accepted blame and figured i pushed too hard on break in. I have tried to walk in these shoes but my feet ache and the right shoe pops with every step. I can't wear them anymore. I am back in an old pair of nb until i decide what i am going to do.

Runs 1/2 size smaller in length and very narrow in toe box. I ordered 1/2 size up and Wide, rather than my usual B width. They fit fine, comfortable, and have great support throughout the sole of the shoe. The problem for me though is that the huge amount of thick padding inside around the ankle put pressure on the side and back of my foot and it really hurt. I have Insertional Achilles Tendonitis and that thick, firm padding inside was so painful. I had to take them off immediately. I'll have to send them back and stick with the most comfortable shoes for my condition, New Balance 990v5. Just one more thing -- the 928v3 in the gray/tan color that I ordered looked too orthopedic on my feet. Maybe the Navy Suede color would look less like orthopedic shoes, if you're going to order these. I'm not young, but I don't want shoes that make me look older than I am!

I wish you make extra extra extra wide shoes for people who have bunions on their feet and instead of leather cloth material or mesh would be perfect. Thank you

A shoe that is almost perfect but some major flaws make it unwearable. TONGUE IS TOO SHORT. Drastically short. So much that if you use the top eyelets the tongue slides UNDER the laces, making the top eyelets unusable. The sole is very supportive, exactly what I needed. So I'm really disappointed that this truncated tongue make the shoes impossible for me to wear. I have lots of foot issues, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis/bursitis/spur, and the rollbar support these provide would have been just right for me. Another thing to note is they are shaped narrow and short. If you have a long, narrow foot they will work. I have a narrow heel but a wide forefoot. I had to order a Wide width and a full size larger than normal because they were too short and tight. If these were made on the SL1 last with a longer tongue I could wear them. But they're made on the SL2 which is more the shape of a slender rectangle than an oval (my foot shape). I'll have to keep looking for another motion control shoe with a properly sized tongue. So disappointing.

With New Balance, I once wore an 8.5 AA (narrow heel); but NB 928 v3 start with "B" (sometimes called "Medium" or "Normal" or "Narrow" now); so that's what I ordered in this highly touted, cushioned walking shoe, an 8.5 B. But, venerable as I've become, my heels slipped. Also, to my shock, the "B" was too narrow in the middle, squeezing the bones on the sides of my feet; and neither thick nor thin socks changed that. The other brand/style in the same Zappos' order were an immediate fit, so I returned these NBs. It can't be because they're made in Vietnam: I have a Vietnamese-made NB "Fresh Foam" 8.5 B, bought in 2021 which I wear with thin running socks: fine for inside. My NB 1260 v2, purchased in 2018 are 8.5 2A (AA)/USA-made as are the "retired-to-yard-work" NB 565's, both of which still fit depending upon sock gauge. Cushioned walking styles are different from those of cushioned running ones. I'm very glad that Zappos has free shipping/free returns to assist in the reassessment I clearly must make!

Purchased this particular tennis shoe for walking and the fact that I have flat feet. Was very uncomfortable and the size seemed not true to form; which is odd as I have the same tennis shoe in white and it is perfect.

Hey! My wife uses these shoes at the postal service, and while they're nice and comfy, they've ruined three pairs of white socks because they bled black dye within the first week.

The padding on the back of the right foot heel collar/heel counter is more delicate than I was expecting and is broken after only a week. I was careless and put on my shoes a couple of times without loosening the laces enough all the way. All the padding got smushed down beneath the fabric lining and it never bounced back. So now the collar is too loose and the back is gappy. The left shoe is still okay.

I am disappointed in the women's 928.v3. I have been buying this model for years, but after 928 v1, all since then are stingy with padding and they feel like walking in cardboard egg cartons, even after wearing a few days. This version is also harder to keep clean, due to the mesh used around the ankle that gets discolored--the previous versions had all leather upper. I usually need to replace the laces with flat ones, since the laces constantly come untied. The tread collects pine needles and small gravel. Altogether not a good design. I found the Sacony brand Integrity 3 Walker model much more comfortably well padded. It also comes in narrow that I need, but is hard to find, even online. Not nearly as expensive as the NB. One drawback is that the tongue is mesh covered, not leather, but the laces stay tied because they are flat. Both brands have a leather guide on the tongue to keep laces in place.

Nice shoes, but I had to return them. Really too big ! Almost an each in front of my big toe ! I already wear a New Balance Hard Court tennis shoe, size 10,5 Wide, and ordered the same size for the Suede 928v3, but it was way too long and too wide. A bit annoying that the size from a model to another has not the same fit. Otherwise, thanks to New Balance to produce shoes that fit difficult feet !

This pair of shoes felt rather stiff and bulky. It looked a bit clumsy on my foot. There was plenty of support and the wider width was fine. Unfortunately, I have to return them because every time I tried them on, my right big toe went numb. I tried them on with and without the insole and found that the footbed was not flat. It seemed to go down where the big toe would sit. Too bad. Must be a flaw in the manufacturing of this pair of shoes.

I relied on the reviews for this shoe and thought it would be a good option, but it's very stiff, not stylish and actually hurts my left foot (probably should have gotten a wider width). I am in the process of stretching the left show and will wear them again to see if the leather loosens a bit. I hope it improves with time because they were pricey .

When I called to ask about this shoe, I was told it was made in America. When it arrived, I saw that it was not. As for the shoes, they are fine albeit a little tight. Hopefully, they stretch out some.

Received the shoes on 8/11. They were beautiful, but as soon as I saw them, I noticed they were not my size. The box had the correct size, but inside was another thing. It was the size for the UK, not USA. I returned it within 10 minutes of receiving it. They received it on 8/13. I had to wait 10 more business days until the credit card showed it was received, Frustrating, as I had hoped to purchase a replacement immediately.
I called customer service. They were great! Plan to purchase another pair after the credit card company removes the charge.
I finally received notification that the return was processed. I will order another pair after I see the return is finalized on the statement, and hope the size is correct this time.
