I have been buying the 928 for years and before that one that was similar but you have changed the shoe in the process. The back of the shoe use to go up farther on the heel of the foot. I don't care for this change. I will be looking for a different shoe.

I am a nurse spend long days on my feet And 928 mesh is best fit only give 3 star due to lack of more color options. Feel like this style is geared towards seniors but I am younger and would appreciate some color in the mesh design

I have foot problems and was told the higher product numbers were better for my feet. I wore the new shoes and stood for about an hour at a event. I could barely make it out to my car. The pain was awful. I have been wearing a model 409 and seem to do better. Not as much pain. Open to any suggestions!

I have serious feet problems and have depended on the roll bars. This one advertised that it did. My feet hurt something awful but after I swapped out the insoles, they are doable. For the money, I am disappointed. I had hoped for a different looking shoe but the same properties at the 928s I have ordered in the past.

I can comfortably walk and wear this style daily without pain. This time I have noticed a loose thread in this pair and that is why my rating is not five stars.

The last 2 of 3 pairs has cut the instep too narrow.

I wear a size 10 medium ladies shoe and bought the 928 in a 10 1/2 Med and I should have bought wide. I bought two pair and I am stuck with them, a black and a beige. I am very disappointed and out about $300.

I thought this product ran small. I ordered a size 8.5, which is typically what I wear, but it was very tight on my foot and caused pain. It seemed a little narrow in width. Perhaps a larger size might have been better. This shoe was recommended by my podiatrist as a great shoe for people with plantar fasciitis. It seemed very supportive, but I couldn't wear as it caused me pain due to the narrow width. Also, I would like to see this shoe available in Black color and perhaps I would order a larger size and try again.

I originally purchased a pair of the 928s in white nylon for summer and was very happy with them. Decided to order the navy suede for fall/winter. They are not as comfortable as the original pair I bought. I use heel inserts which help but cannot use them for long distance walking or treadmill at gym. I am hoping as I break them in they will be more comfortable.

Shoe is well made but toe box is too high and looks odd on my foot - my 4E width is not due to puffy feet, but bone structure. Thus, the tall toe box is not needed. Very disappointed.

Exchanged for size 12 ( no 11.5) then realized I hated them, too long, looked like old lady shoes.

These used to be so comfortable. The original version was great. The V3 has no where near the cushioning or support of the original. I used to be able to where the original version all day with no ankle or foot pain. Not with the V3.

The fit is fine. Disappointed in the amount of padding in the sole, expected a cushier feel. Ok for walks of about 3 miles.

These shoes look good, feel good, but I didn't get much wear out of them. Soles break down much too soon (less than 6 months). Also, be prepared to buy shoelaces as the ones provided are ridiculously long--so long they touch the floor after tying into a huge bow--and they grow longer every day!

I'm not sure what happened, but they must have changed their sizing measurements because this was a reorder for me (same shoe model number, same size) and it is a full size larger than the previous shoes. As for style...I wish NB would be make more 4E shoes that didn't look like large, white, styrofoam blocks but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
I'd also recommend:
NB, Propet

The outside of these shoes hold up well, but the inside is not as comfortable from the start with each pair I purchase. Seem to break down inside quickly. I may have to find a new model, or even brand.

Disappointing because I had just purchased a pair of New Balance sneakers, 9Wide, and they fit perfectly. These were substantially too big. I chose not to exchange because could not be sure 8-1/2 would work. Nice looking walking shoe--wish it had worked.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Saucony

Even after reading the negative reviews I ordered these shoes because I'd had such good luck with my last pair of 928's. After trying them for a few days I had to return them. The toe box was indeed more narrow, the support seemed less good, and I experienced hot spots and foot tingling even with moderate walking. They just seemed not as well constructed as my last pair, but are still very expensive.

I bought this 928-V3 shoe in white after it came back to a design similar to version 1 of the women's 928 walking shoe. It was a replacement to another shoe that came apart at the sole, the 1400V1 trailwalker, after which I tried the poorly designed 813 model that didn't fit right in several sizes. If New Balance had just kept the original 928 design, there wouldn't be this trail of returns....... The sole of this latest design of the 928 still has the tiny slits in the tread that gather every small bit of gravel and debris, plus conifer needles. The toe box is roomy, and the top edge of these white shoes is trimmed in light blue. The white mesh in this version, between the light blue edge around the ankle and the leather sides, is not as easy to keep clean as leather. I noticed the footbed looks like rubber, not like the old material, but I remove them to use my orthotics. The narrow fits my AA foot well, and the walk seems comfortable.
