I am having a hard time breaking in the 928v3 women's leather shoe. It is all leather and very hard and stiff. It has no give. I wanted the 847v3 but it was not available in my size, 7 4E. I have bunions and plantar faciitis which make it difficult to find comfortable shoes. I will keep wearing them and try to loosen them up with a leather shoe softener.

I'm trying to find a replacement for the NB 847v2 but this was not it. I'm looking for overpronation, support and cushioning as well as fit. These were just too stiff and hard and uncomfortable.

Loved the 928 V2's. have been wearing this V3 for several months because it's the only shoe that accommodates my orthotics. Complaint: the tongue is TOO SHORT and slips down the foot so that laces are stretched across my ankle. Painful! NB need to fix this! Searching for replacement/waiting for V4.

I wanted to love these, and did love just about everything except the tongue on this shoe. For some reason makers seem to be making the tongues longer, wider and thicker and it impedes my comfort and stride. It makes the shoe feel tighter overall. Scale it back please!

This color runs smaller than other colors of the exact same shoe! I already own the same shoe and same size in gray and it fits perfectly. I ordered the same shoe and same size in white and in navy. The new pair of white shoes fits perfectly but the navy pair are much smaller even though they are labeled as the same size. They are both shorter and narrower. Now I have to return the navy pair and guess what size to reorder to get the correct fit. :( I do like the style of both the white and the navy pair.

This show runs large. But I bought it for the inside and shoe sole support. It's Clint and unbelievably ugly. I am amazed that NB cannot get just a little creative about their "great support" shoes and make them less hideous. I also bought a pink mule that is adorable as well as functional. Where your imagination, people?

It was the first (out of 10 pairs) that did not pinch my toes in a wide width. AND it had enough room for my high instep. The shoe is quite stiff and heavy, however. There's no support for my high arch, and the style is clunky (and not in a cute or quirky way). I'm keeping them, but still keeping my eyes open for a different style that might suit me better.

The shoe fit well, but there was no cushion in the heel of the shoe. I suffer from achilles tendon so for me this shoe did not help with my problem. I had to send it back.

Had to return the first pair due to a quality defect. Replacements were ok. New balance not the quality it use to be for sure.

This shoe was a disappointment after the previous versions of the shoe. I really dislike the mesh upper. I hate thinking I have to buy another pair, but I have such severe arthritis in my ankle and feet that I need a sturdy, reliable shoe. Paying so much for a product I am not thrilled with is going to be unpleasant.

I would say the size and width were as described. Unfortunately, I wear orthotics and these were not quite supportive enough even with my orthotics.

The whole shoe is relatively hard. Standing was hard on my arches at first. I thought they were pretty clunky. Happened to notice they keep feet pretty dry in rain. Now I always wear them when it rains. Solid shoes but I don't want to wear them more than just every once in a while.

I’ve worn these shoes for 10 years, after multiple foot surgeries. This edition, and the previous edition of the 928’s feel much more narrow, especially at the toe box. I keep trying different sizes, but they are just too narrow. The older 928 was perfect for my foot, very firm sole, which is what I need. I continue to be very disappointed in the newer versions. They look identical, but sure don’t feel the same at all. Had to return them.

I have never worn a narrow shoe, but no matter how much I tightened these, they slopped around on my foot. Also, the color is listed as gray, but they really are a tan.
I'd also recommend:
Mizuno Wave Paradox, Inspire or Catalyst - all recommended by my physical therapist

I originally tried the same size I wear in the 1540, but it was much bigger. So I tried this smaller, wider size because I need toe room. However, when walking I feel like my feet are slapping on the ground, unlike the 1540 which has a nice feel to it. After 1 day wearing them, I couldn't wait to get them off. The sole felt like a hard plank and the inside was not nice on my feet. Also I need toe room, and they made them narrower than my old 928's. So unfortunately I wasted my money on these very expensive shoes and will have to keep looking for something that supports my foot and is comfortable, and good for walking.

Overall fit is fine, although like many "older" women I would much appreciate not assuming we want colors from the 1950s in our wardrobe. I am a 21st century woman. The primary problem with this shoe, however, is that it is brick hard.

These shoes are heavier than I expected for a sneaker. The extremely square cut it good for wide feet, but they don't have any appearance appeal. Sent them back and will keep trying other options.

These are very nice shoes. I had heel pain and got these shoes which helped with the problem but I do alot of standing at work and moving around, now I got arch pain. Not very comfortable and doesn't have that cushion support that I expected it to have. I still wear them to work but by the middle of the day I just want to sit down. Other than that the shoes have enough room for my toes to move around and are nice looking.

Long term wearer of original 928's. Loved them even before foot surgeries and orthotics became necessary. Originals accommodated these changes to my feet beautifully. Then came V2's .....a total disaster for the 928. The V3's corrected some of the V2 flaws, but New Balance never should have ruined the original 928 by trying to remodel it, no matter what the intention. Don't mess with a proven product! The V3 is narrower in all respects, especially in the toes. The toe box is not as deep, the heel is more shallow, the arch is not as supportive, and the whole shoe is less flexible than the original 928. Better than V2, but tell New Balance to make V4 exactly like the original 928 and they will win back a bunch of formerly devoted customers.

Shoe was comfortable enough but the toe area is way too boxy. Would be a good choice for people with bunions, etc. Too clunky for me though.

Unfortunately I have to return these as I must be falling between sizes. The 10 was a little short but my heel slipped quite a bit in 10 and a half. The show box does feel much deeper than my last pair of 928"s bought 3 years ago and shoe feels much stiffer but perhaps they are not broken in. The style is exactly as pictured and it does appear well made, just not for me. Thank you for your courteous service.

Returned them. Too long and narrow. Not like the original 928s. Liked the blue suede, but the width was not accurate. Returned and disappointed . Not made well

I need a solid and supportive walking shoe that can accommodate my ever-growing bunions. This shoe was very highly recommended for, among other things, having a wide toe box. I just tried the 7M and it is crazy, crazy tight in the toe box - like, much WORSE than my old (Saucony) 7M walking shoes. And, the tight leather makes it clear that I'd be in for serious pain immediately. So, I'm exchanging this for the 7W and we'll see what happens. I'll just keep going up in width and hope something works...but the problem I generally encounter in this situation is that I also have a very narrow heel, so I will step right out of a wide width shoe. So, I'm not optimistic, but I'm not giving up yet.
