Good strong wearable dress shoe -

Classic style and hold a shine. The brand has been extremely reliable in that I receive the size I order. In addition, they "break" in the right spot (at the ball of the foot). Only improvement could be the arch support.

A classic everyday business shoe that's durable, but needs some time and some work before it really hits its stride. I've gotten compliments from my colleagues about the look and style of this shoe. I've really liked them, and I'm on my third pair. Lost one pair, wore out the other. Drawbacks are the very stiff uppers will hurt your feet for the first few weeks. Wooden heels make a heckuva lot of noise on pavement or tile. Starting in month 2 and for the next 2 years, the uppers feel and look good. I like to get the heels replaced to something quieter (at my local shoe repair joint).

Great selection and delivery from Zappos. The shoe is exactly what I ordered, but the left shoe is painful at the bend near the toes. I\'m hoping this resolves as the shoe breaks in.

Very sleek, stylish, classic design. Decent comfort, but the leather in the heel is stiff and needs conditioning or wear to make it bearable.

The shoes are a little stiff. Like new shoes they are supposed to be stiff but I have been wearing them for three weeks, 10 hours a day, off and on and they are still stiff planks on my feet. Just be aware if you get these shoes that its going to take awhile to break these shoes in. For the price they are a good value minus some comfort.

Comfortable, but do they breathe? These shoes have a classic look, and are a bit more contemporary than wingtips (which I also like). The fit seems true to size and they are comfortable. I haven’t taken long walks with them, so I do not know if they would be comfortable for that. I do find that my feet get sweaty in them, and so I have questions about how well the leather breathes. Still, for the price I may get another pair.

Wide is wide - Started with med width. They felt too tight. Great Zappos return and ordered wide. Wide was pretty wide and overall bigger. A big difference from medium. Got some "gelling" insoles and they fit and feel great. No break-in needed before a formal event. These are dressy and shinny enough to pass for tux shoes at a black tie event.

I ordered these in black with the black patent toe cap. They are a very nice Chanel-style flat, conservative but dressy-looking. I was glad I read the reviews and also ordered a half-size larger because my regular size felt too short. I do agree with "little arch support" comments but this is about what you can expect with dress shoes like these. Just what I needed for a special occasion.

Good value - This model is comfortable from the moment it comes out of the box. There is no break-in period. The shoes are well constructed and designed. For the price, you could not ask for more.

Good quality and style - value - I have worn this shoe for a few years, I wear them every day for work and they seem to last about a year. The style is classic, and the fit is good. Could have better laces, they tend to slip a little when you first get them.

Shoe was very comfortable on first wearing, but heel width for my narrow foot seemed excessive and would have generated blisters had the day involved long walks. Looks seem to be holding up nicely.

I was very pleased with how quickly my order was shipped. The feeling that I could return the shoes if they didn't fit made my decision to buy over the internet easier.

Almost Perfect Shoe - This is an almost perfect shoe for me; right color, great style, shines well. However, there is one design flaw. The shoe string eyelets need metal reinforcement. On the first pair, 2 of the eyelets began to tear after very few wear.

Decent Shoe - The is very comfortable. However, I would not mind a thicker sole for long term use.

Dressy but not stodgy - I tried these shoes on at a local shoe store so I was fairly confident that the ones from Zappos would fit. They do. Also, the price was almost twenty dollars less than the local shoe store. I received the shoes in two days. They are dressy without looking stodgy. The ordering process was great and I would not hesitate to use Zappos again .

Good Value - The Good: Nice looking shoes. Good fit at a good price. The Bad: Shoes come unlaced (certainly not a big deal). The Ugly: Made in India, a nation with a cast system, who's people discriminate against its own Harijan people (Once Harijans were called "untouchables," allegedly unclean.) Bostonian should consider outsourcing to a vendor in another country.

Recent purchase - The service on my purchase was terrific; Zappo honored the price guarantee, and I had my shoes in three days. If I can find the shoe I'm looking for here I'm not going anywhere else.

Your Eyes Love 'em, But Your Feet Hate Them - These shoes look great, but they are very uncomfortable if you have to stand a lot.

I have purchased this shoe for many years and been very happy. The latest purchase I was very disappointed. Where the shoe bent, the finish bubbled and actually peeled off. Maybe they are manufacturing them in a different location where quality is lacking... I had to return these this time. At this point I would not recommend them.

Fit was fine and shoe looks great, but I experienced two areas of discomfort similar to other negative comments caused me to return: 1. Shoe is cut too high at front of ankle; felt this especially when standing. 2. Toe area seam is too rigid, cutting into top of foot where toes bend.

Not very comfortable. Neither the description above nor the reviews on this page are clear that these shoes are made of patent leather. If you're not familiar with what that is, it's leather that is finished so it has a permanent glossy look to it. It makes caring for the shoe easy, but leaves a cheap and stiff feel to the shoe. These shoes look fine, and in fact I've gotten a few complements on them. The problem is that they're not breathable at all, and the heel and sole are unnecessarily loud when not walking on carpet. Also, they take a long time to break in.

Great looks, low on comfort - These shoes look great, but after wearing them in an office setting for a few weeks my heels were killing me. They also did not offer much arch support. I still wear them on occasion though.
